What exactly is it about incest that some of you hate so much? And I'm not referring to Wincest here, I mean real life incestuous relationships. Religious morals aside. Think about it. I'm talking about consenting adults, not children, not abuse. How common do you think this is? I don't have actual statistics on this, but I get the feeling that it's pretty rare.

Imagine the shame of being not only rejected, but cast out, disowned. The kind of terror they'd live with, the fear of being found out, of being despised by their own blood. The guilt alone could probably drive someone to suicide. If two adults make a decision, together, that they want to be with each other - why should it matter to anyone else? Love is love.

(I don't see anything wrong with any of the aforementioned. If people know what they're doing, and all parties consent, I think it's fine. Different strokes, you know how it goes.) Some people even put incest on the same level as pedophilia and/or rape, which, to me, is utterly insane. Con vs. non-con. HUGE difference.

I know what it's like to be viewed as something disgusting and unnatural, as though the very core of who I am is WRONG. Some of these comments make this out to be a black and white issue, and that just isn't the case. Not at all. I believe that there is always a grey area. Always. I don't believe that anyone chooses who they fall in love with. Just happens. You can't tell your heart how to feel.

Be them of the same race or not, same family or not, same sex or not. It isn't something you can define as "wrong" or "right". Shortly, He says that PG (I don't know what they are..role games maybe? I'm not sure) and fan fiction shows how people not only watch Supernatural but becomes a part of the show . He also says that it shows how passionate the fans are and this is really great so he is a supporter. He says a thing in the middle of it that I can't really get. I totally agree with xobjectlessonx. I mean, considering how every other relationship the boys seem to form is either unhealthy or short term, it makes sense that fanfiction writers would pair them together.
It's like Dean/Castiel pairings. There's a basis of trust and devotion there so people are going to delve deeper into that.
The majority of the main characters are also men so it's not like they have a lot of options anyway,
It also helps that the boys(and Castiel) are insanely hot.

i love fanfiction and i think there are amazing writers out there who really understand the characters and what the show's all about. they could even be writers on the show! however, when it comes to wincest, i find it kind of gross. i just like the stories where the BROTHERLY love comes out and when they protect each other.
The actors are understandably uncomfortable with it, but they HAVE to know it's gonna happen...I mean, the show lends A LOT of leeway to the whole idea of wincest. Their relationship is the only long term, committed, and consistent love relationship in the entire show so far. Of course people are going to make it sexual.
I think that considering they are two straight men, they deal with it pretty well and take the whole thing pretty lightly. I mean, what can you do?!

Shortly, He says that PG (I don't know what they are..role games maybe? I'm not sure) and fan fiction shows how people not only watch Supernatural but becomes a part of the show . He also says that it shows how passionate the fans are and this is really great so he is a supporter. He says a thing in the middle of it that I can't really get. If I found out that the actual ACTORS of Supernatural (Jensen and Jared, not Sam and Dean) were actually a couple, I would think it was cute - NOT Dean and Sam, because, fictional characters or NOT, they are brothers, and incest is disgusting, including, -gag- Wincest. There is no RIGHT incest. They are BROTHERS. It's gross.

What bothers me with people who truly hate & persecute people who like Wincest, like on facebook, it's that they use the fact that it's incest as a cover to the fact that they're really just homophobic. Guys, if it was two sisters fighting ugly creatures, monsters & all that goes bump in the night, you wouldn't mind people writing slash stories about them. You'd probably even encourage it. It's not about incest, because let's face it - stories are harmless and fictional. It's about homophobia.

I love both the actors and the characters, and how the story shows the meaning of brotherly love. Cause I believe that's what it is. It's simple. It's beautiful. They are brothers, they have a painful past that ties them together, they do love each other. But they are not gay. This whole thing is just fantazy. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against it. I kinda liked it. It's just, that Supernatural and these fanfictions/videos are totally different things.

I agree that ofcource, incest is wrong, but at the same time it is only a TV show and it is in the viewers right to interperet the show however they please. If they see a splash of Wincest then so be it, I'm not about to argue about that. Had Sam and Dean been real then yes, it would have been very disturbing for people to be Wincest fans but in the end of the day it isn't, so I don't get why people get so worked up about. If Wincest isn't your type of tea, then just don't read it.

well, that assumption is based on the fact that Demons go somewhere after they die, much like humans. I don't think that's true.
I mean, they can't possible go to Hell, because that's where they go when they've been exorcisted; so it wouldn't make any sense to kill them. I kinda think they just disappear, you know, just stop excisting. Which would mean that no one, not even Lucy, could bring a demon back from death. I dunno. :/

I just think there has to be a difference, you know, between dying and being exorcised. EX: they were trying really hard to find a way to KILL YED in season 1/2. That has to mean there's a difference, doesn't it? 'Cuz if not, they couldve just said some words in Latin to end it, instead of bitching about the Colt for months. x)

I was a fan of Wincest until Sam started losing it and then Castiel showed up.
I'll read any pairing as long as I can justify it in my mind, which incest is hardly justifiable, but considering the guys fight demons and Hell, you'd think they'd take the support where they could get it.

I totally agree with xobjectlessonx. I mean, considering how every other relationship the boys seem to form is either unhealthy or short term, it makes sense that fanfiction writers would pair them together.
It's like Dean/Castiel pairings. There's a basis of trust and devotion there so people are going to delve deeper into that.
The majority of the main characters are also men so it's not like they have a lot of options anyway,
It also helps that the boys(and Castiel) are insanely hot.

i love fanfiction and i think there are amazing writers out there who really understand the characters and what the show's all about. they could even be writers on the show! however, when it comes to wincest, i find it kind of gross. i just like the stories where the BROTHERLY love comes out and when they protect each other.

The actors are understandably uncomfortable with it, but they HAVE to know it's gonna happen...I mean, the show lends A LOT of leeway to the whole idea of wincest. Their relationship is the only long term, committed, and consistent love relationship in the entire show so far. Of course people are going to make it sexual.
I think that considering they are two straight men, they deal with it pretty well and take the whole thing pretty lightly. I mean, what can you do?!
