  • Thank you!

  • it sad to see so many egos argueing about this beautiful intro to meditation, people trying to show that they know better, that this or that is wrong, etc. why can't we simply appreciate the fact that this is one of many ways of explaning what meditation is about. why can't we just appreciate the fact that different approaches will suit different people, as we are all unique. why can't we allow others to SIMPLY BE. more love and less ego people! Namaste

  • When she said "Within You and Without You", I instantly thought of the Beatles song and finally understood what it means. It blew my mind.

  • you be bliss countless time for sharing such wonderful knowledge.

  • pop culture meditation.

    pointless.

  • @CT2507 Of course its pointless, that's the paradox. If you are looking for a point, then you have missed the point of it being pointless. Do it anyway, point or no point, that's the point or pointlessness of it.

  • @MellyJuffin i fail to see how doing pointless action can lead to anything meaningful. even within the strange world of the spirit and the classical spiritual systems, common sense rules supreme.

  • @CT2507 If you are happy being ruled by 'common' sense, then everything is as it should be. Some people are 'called' to look beyond what is common, its a calling which refuses to be ignored. If and when your calling arises, you will look and then you will begin to see. The world of spirit is no stranger than 'ordinary' reality, its the same thing looked at from the other side.

  • @MellyJuffin yea, im more than happy to use my common sense. it helps me se through bullshit like this right away. and it helps me see u as a superficial hippie too. which means i dont need to waste time being uncertain.

i know full well that u dont walk like u talk. its all rosy words cause thats what excits u.

and there is no calling... believe me. u are not special, u just like to think so of yourself.

in reality u are an arrogant little shit who wants to be more than others.

  • There isn't a physical distinction between the mind and the brain. I'm interested in meditation, but this pseudo-science is really turning me off.

  • @Jonmad17 It's your mind that is 'interested', but your brain will benefit. That's the difference. Your mind has labelled it 'pseudo-science' and has judged it 'less than'. Your brain doesn't care and will probably love it anyway if you can ignore your mind's contradictory nonsense long enough to give it a try.

  • @MellyJuffin im not against meditation in general. im against this modern approach which i like to call pop culture spiritualism.

it is presented in an attractive maner, with a smile. much like a comercial.

it becomes superficial and has very little to do with the actual idea of meditation, which is suppose to take your mind off the superficial world.

  • Probably you won't believe me, but actually I could see your aura in this video. You are a beautifull human being. Thanks for your time and effort to enlighten our paths. Namaste.

  • Wow........what amazing videos. Everything you say is so clear and easy to understand. I have been doing my best with meditation since about Nov last year. I feel I am finally beginning to make some progress. Your videos are of tremendous help to me. Thank you so much. Do you have any other videos? You are an amazing teacher with such a calm relaxing voice, and you make learning meditation so much easier. Thanks again :+)

  • to be strictly, realistically and honestly speaking... a human's (or any life form's) position does not matter if they are to meditate. The feeling and desire to meditate and focus intensely comes from within , and as long as that individual is able to meditate up to their desired degree , they won't be bothered about the position. It's the thoughts and mind-frame that matter. That is also why and how human species has evolved mentally and still continues.

  • This is amazing thank you so much. I've got a really hard time meditating i could never really sit through but this really helped ;D

  • Hey, you got some great techniques.. But I have a suggestion, there is no better way to meditate than nude, it's alot more freeing and natural. You should do that from now on. :D

  • you are so cute you could be my new mumy I know you are soft

  • Thank you for sharing your wisdom. It allowed me to overcome the physical discomforts that were distracting my awareness. I wish you well, Miss Maharaj.

  • thx

  • She is hot

  • I have researched and researched so many Yoga and Meditation videos and she is awesome!! I highly recommend all her videos to any beginner or anyone who is a professional Yogi or Meditation practitioner!!

    Namaste to all !!

  • I tried those yoga positions but my legs fall asleep even with the blocks my side thighs numb with tingle either or.. what should i do?

  • those who didnt like this that 4 dislikes. stop drinking and stop complaining..sometimes people are so negative there negative about everything.. Seek the true god.. meditation is good as long as you pray in holy spirit b fore u meditate

  • I'll admit, I don't watch your videos for the (very helpful!) yoga tips and instructions, but for your soothing voice. Many a time I've woken up with drool on my sleeve at my own keyboard. Thank you so much :)

  • I love the analogy of "brain and mind". I agree. Meditation allows me to quiet my mind. There is too much stimulus and info to process in our today's society.

  • Excellent Kavita...from India with love !

  • Oh teacher you're hot and very flexible. I am going astral project to your house tonight.

  • this is slightly erotic...

  • you're such a beautiful woman and you have such a beautiful and calming voice

  • too much talking

  • Thank you, very informative. BTW, I know this has nothing to do with breathing, but you have the most beautiful hair.

  • Okay, not to take anything away from her WONDERFUL teaching technique, and the perfectly clear way she explains meditation, but is it just me, or is this woman a total babe?

  • @FireFox1914 It's not just you. It's easy (for me) to overlook this as a meditation vid, because she is SO FINE!!!

  • @djw80158 Well all right then...I'm glad we're all on the same page. :-P

  • @FireFox1914 Same page, paragraph, & sentence. No doubt about it. :)

  • She is very patient, descriptive and explanitory! She tells you What, where and why. Great teacher! I'd love to see more of her.

  • although i don t understand english very well, i found the video very helpful, thx a lot for your effort and for the great and simple explained videos. *****

  • Thank you very much, Kavitaji. Very beautifully explained and encouraging for beginners.

  • is sitting in full lotus healthy for the knee/hip joints?

  • great, a liked the final part a lot

  • Excellent communication. wonderful delivery i never headred such wonderful speech before. she will win where ever she goes using his speech. seeing this kind of person are rare.

  • what is she wrong about, tell us.

  • Yoga exercises are worth while for meditation, to remove 'tension' & 'stress'. Her explanation of mind & brain, isn't wrong, but it's missing the point. The 'intellectual/egoist' part of the mind has taken over the 'process'. Underneath, meditation, makes you aware of this 'highjacking' by the 'intellectual mind', that is compulsive, and doesn't allow you to use,the totality of your 'mind', that portion, that is connected to your body, & reflects the reality of the universe.
  • @fntime the point was the consistency of the practice, not the length, which is one of the most important points of meditation practice

  • @thejugglenaut91 don't disagree. I just don't know

what is accomplished with 10 minute meditation.

Maybe we are both looking for something different

    from meditation.

But, thanks for your point of view.

  • @fntime so you're saying that a 120 minute meditation is better for two days a week than a 20 minute meditation everyday? No, absolutely not. Dude, I never said I meditate 10 minutes. I was simply illuminating what you seemed to misunderstand.

  • Your body, is a holographic model of the universe. Animals are connected to it, so are we when we calm the intellectized portion of the mind. If we can calm the insistent 'thinking' mind all that we desire to 'know' is available to us all. But, like body building, our mind needs a dedicated approach, sometimes it is not easy, especially, when we face the challenges of life. But, if you are looking for awareness and understanding, meditation will give you the 'answers'
  • Kavita, thank you so much for uploading these videos. Your beauty makes it easy to keep watching more n more, and your sweet gentle easy-to-listen to way of speaking is nothing short of the essence of love and joy.

  • your voice is epic. no, im serious. you could be an awesome voice actor!

  • Thank you Kavita!

  • She has a very divine power in her voice , expressions and thoughts. I am visiting this video for the 10th time... So attractive like a magnet...

  • She seems to be highly enlightened. She has a very high understanding!. Thank you very very much for the upload. Many people do things without knowing the reason or having an idea. This was like an eye opener. Thank you once again!.

  • enlightened? is there no end to peoples' gullibility

get a hold of yourself lol

  • Enlightened would indicate one who could never think of what you just said.

  • who was your comment directed at SB?

  • Kavita is clear and concise. Her presence is a joy. She simply explains meditation so that anyone can understand it. Using her approach, anyone can learn to (1) quiet their mind, (2) re-connect with their deepest spirit, and (3) realize that they can attain clarity and peace. These are worthy goals! Thank you so much for this uncomplicated approach.

  • VERY god explanation and it realy helps my meditation tranning.

    Tanks.

    Anders

  • yoga's main aim is to teach one mind control.. thereby controlling the senses... so that one can see the true self.. and finally understand the constitutional position of god within us.. all this is posible only with the grace of god.. treating yoga as a mechinical methord to realise the REAL I is a foolish attempt.. First step is complete surrender to god... LOVE GOD

  • Hi Kavita

You are very good in explaination about medidation /mind and brain.I learnt so many from this clip.been watched four times so far.You make it simple.I like it.

    I am from Sydney.

  • Excellent. Many thanks. Namaste

  • huh. doesnt tell how to meditate. just how often to do it, how to sit and what the effect is supposed to be.

  • It is actually and INTRODUCTION.

  • "The gift is in its practice itself." Nicely spoken...

I also agree with the part where you say that it would be best to turn the practice into a habit. Once you have accomplished that you do not have to stress yourself to sit down every day for meditation because it will happen by itself in a very natural way.

    Keep it simple!

  • Excellent, the most clear description yet. Thanks and.......... Namaste

  • Thank you very much for this class, Kavita. Very good! I'm happy! *-*

I'd love to watch more classes...

  • This is a great explanation, covers everything we need to know.

  • un grand mercy! let us all be at peace with ourselves, then can we be at peace with each other. i believe 'shanti' needs to be re-taught to many of us. namaste

  • Thank you so much, I really needed something like this.

  • How about lying on my back while meditating ? That seems to be the most comfortable position for me.

  • perfect explanations. Thanks!

  • gr8 stuff

  • This is the clearest (and probably the shortest) explanation of meditation that I have ever heard. I wasted so much time getting annoyed with myself because I couldn't achieve perfection. Thank you so much.

  • Thanks for posting.Professional teaching.good technics.

  • hah! me too! everyday, literally. something about it helps me relax.

  • I'm addicted to this video, I've been watching it everyday because it helps me relax.

  • can you make another video like this? youre very good at explaining things, very professional.

  • What is Namaste mean?

  • Namaste has a few interpretations, all of them similar - basically it means 'The Divine Light in Me, honours The Divine Light in You'

  • Does she have any more Meditation videos; I really like her teaching style.

  • wow your video really helped.....im gonna watch em all....you got to do maore of these.......bye they way thanks i was having breathing problems and my mind was always hurting from the thinkin constontly.

  • Her voice is realy relaxing.

  • Very informative. Your descriptions and demonstrations are very clear and interesting. Thank you very much.
