  • Why would anyone dislike this video? What's wrong w/ it? Is there something Im not seeing? It looks like it would work great to me. & 2nd, for all U guys out there who dont like it, then lets C U fight this guy in a street fight. Even though its Kung Fu, & rather a traditional martial art than a self defense system like Krav Maga, it first off has elements from Krav, and 2nd seems to be more of a street version of Kung Fu. Id luv 2 hear why this defense technique is wrong, so please comment.

  • @ 1.22 when the guys blocks the horizontal leopard you would pull back and tear his flesh on his arm....it has to be automatic and quick

  • UFC is a sport. Boxing, Kickboxing they are sports. Even Muay Thai is a sports version of Muay Boran. Traditional MAs were invented to kill, not to entertain people watching TV. Its funny how some people make fun of the Tiger claw in a kung fu video, but then see it in a Krav Maga video and they think its awesome. It's nothing but prejudice. The downside is that full power traditional techniques can land you in jail if you do them right, and land you in the hospital if done wrong and weakly

  • stop showing this fake gung-fu it is not hung gar nor sholin gung kuen. the leopard claw is meant to crush ribs or strike temple. hung gar gets its power by using breathing techniques and fast but accurate strikes and maiming formations...ever heard of chi chi ling he's hung gar kuen is proper

  • Trying to catch arms is stupid and often fails.

Learn to strike first and finish them.

  • nice

  • is this choy lee fut leaopard or huan chuan and i thought leapord climbing tree was 3 shots from bottom to top

  • Is that guy pyschic or something or is that some sort of weird reflection of the camera. Look to me like he's pyschic.

  • wtf are you talking about, noone dies from a broken nose you bullshitter, stop believing third grad ninja movies you idiot

  • broken nose? No, but there is a sharp bone inside the nose that if hit upwards can jab into your brain.. so idk lol

  • @kecs2 No, there is no sharp bone in anyone's nose. The nose is made up of cartilage and cannot jab up into the brain.

  • Well said, the whole push the septum into the brain technique is a total movie myth and DOES NOT EXIST IN REALITY, i say that with 30 years experience in the martial arts 10 of which spent with the Brittish Royal Marine Commandos (42 Commando, Julliete) .

  • Hitting some one in the nose like hard enough just doesn't break your nose it also kills you. People you have to think in a fight or otherwise when your done you just might be sued into a shit hole by the family of the person you just killed or injured.

  • kung fu is an art its used for the streets,MMA is a sport used for the cage.

  • And yet MMA actually works better for the street.

  • thats bullshit mma is a sport its to restricting, theirs rules and regulations.martial arts are for real fighting

  • The techniques of MMA have been proven to knock people out, choke people out, and break bones. Most of what you are referring to have never been proven.

  • what are you talking about, you should'nt compare martial arts to sports.Just do me a favour go on the UFC website look at the rules carefully, then look at any martial art and what you willl see is that what is against the rules in UFC is the core content of all martial arts.

  • What I'm talking about is this, all the core elements of MMA when broken down are better self defense systems than most traditional arts. Boxing, kickboxing, wrestling, BJJ Sambo all by themselves are better for self defense that most other arts. So when you combine them, you have the perfect art. The techniques have been proven to work. Other arts are purely theoretical.

  • ok this is the last time im gonna say this your confusing sport arts e.g. boxing, mma with martial arts.yes its effective to be a well rounded martial artist. But martial arts in mma are watered down.Simply a great ring fighter is not a great street fighter. And vise versa.Just look at mma rules and you will see other wise.Even armed forces around the world use martial arts for their combat trainning, not mma, kickboxing and other sporting arts.

  • You couldn't be more wrong. Special Forces the world over are not using traditional arts, they are using wrestling, boxing, BJJ, Sambo, and Muy Thai. Any great cage fighter would be a better street fighter than a traditional artist because the modern arts work better than traditional arts.

  • That would be wrong. MMA is for sport because they are limited to rules. Its not the art its the artist that defines it. BJJ is not the worlds best art, TKD is not the worlds best art, Shaolin is not also. The person works hard to get their skill an art doesnt make you u make the art. basicly no style is better then the other. I know some ppl who do MMA and they can fight on the street and some that cant. I know some Martial artist who can and some who cant fight on the street. hope this helps

  • Boxing, wrestling, muy thai and bjj all work better for the street than these strange, hard to learn exotic styles. So it's only logical that a combo of these arts is better.

  • no it does not work better. with most Sifu's they teach you what is greatly usefull from the styles. the ground work from bjj is not greatly useful in a fight. Why? because u get then down to the ground yes that cool but what if they had a friend around the corner watching. now your in trouble. Im not saying bjj is bad just most ppl like you make mma seem like a god. they use bjj, muy thai, jujitsu and so on because it works for what they do. they are not on the street so we cant compare it

  • BJJ was tested and proved on the streets of Brazil. It's a true street fighting art. Combine it with boxing or Muy Thai and it's the best combo for self defense.

  • Bro I'm not going to argue with you anymore. You are just not understanding what I been saying. I never said Bjj cant be used in a street fight just not not the most practical. Point blank if you can see there is no other person then just you and ur enemy then hell take his ass down to the ground. but if there is more then one person you don't want to end up on the ground. And lastly there is no best combo for self defense. you can take TKD and BJJ and still be good, it depends on how good you r

  • I wish you much luck on your fighting and good luck. Its been nice talking to you.

  • With respect i disagree. Taiwanese SWAT teams use traditional kung fu roots and styles such as san shou / sanda. Now it depends whether you reckon sanda is a modern art or a traditional art . To me, I believe sanda is traditional. Just because an art looks modern doesn't mean to say it is. Sanda has been around for a while, and it's practice is just simple traditional kung fu boxing, and ground fighting (qi na), applied more simplistic and practical terms.

  • So on that note, I see it as TMA is still used today by elite forces. but again it depends whether you see sanda, as a traditional art or a modernised kung fu style. To me Sanda is traditional cause it's basis it simply traditional kung fu boxing, but just taught and performed much more realistic and practically.

PS that comment was response to mattm1836, about not believing TMA still is used in elite forces.

    Peace.

  • Final note, just because an art is traditonal doesn't mean to be say it is ineffective, it might appear so, due to it's exotic movements, but do consider that applied in reality it'd probably looks nothing like that, imagine the exotic movements as a just exotic blueprints in the way it's taught. No real MA looks exotic in application TMA or MMA. So just cause it looks exotic in practice doesn't mean to say it's useless in reality, coz likely the application will differ to the forms.

  • EG Wing Chun- is a TMA but I've seen full contact wingchun sparring. No doesn't looks very exotic at all, it looks like a real street fighting systems, (very close quaters, fast, scrappy, with grappling and clinches) but it IS a TMA.

But that's my final comment I'd like to offer. Best to all you MA out there TMA or MMA unlike, remember be open minded to all disciplines.

    PEACE!

  • The Taiwanese President's personal bodyguard is an expert at the Leopard style and this guy can kick some major ass, man.

  • It can have applications but the fancy names, lack of footwork, and lack of dynamic demonstration completely ****s things up.

  • i wish you MM(g)A(y) guys would just shut the fuck up! you all are pussys and worship beefy homosexuals rubbing each other on tv. most martial arts guys dont put in the time to do it seriously, and the ones that do know MMA is such a huge joke they wont participate in it. so just go back to you homoerotic BJJ videos and leave ppl alone.

  • MMA Is based off Traditional martial arts, Show some respect. Jusitsu which is the basis for BJJ came from Shaolin Temple Qi-Na, Muay Thai boxing has beat Kung Fu for years only one chinese Martial artist managed to beat them he studied Choy Lee Fut but thats not why he won its becuse he was a street fighter. its not the art its the artist. Boxing is a very practical and simple self defense tool.If you study TMA then i suggest you understand that kung fu came from another therefore we are MMA.

  • (2)on top of all of this discussion the end all is that pretty much anything invented newer than 4-500years ago has not been seriously tested in battle in unarmed combat its all theoritics.

  • What do you study my friend?

  • Not all Kung fu. its in the artist not the art. Its the fight in the fighter not the style he uses. There are rules in a cage fight. You can't claw or eye gouge. So please, understand that we TMA respect MMA and I value its abilities but ultimatly in the wrong hands MMA is just as ineffective as TMA.

  • did you see the guy i responded to it my responce was comment appropriate. eye gouging has nothing to do with it. its that you cant attack the back of the head or spine while they try to "shoot" BJJ is a great art IF you are a samuri covered in armor where striking (or stabing)is largely ineffective. your argument is flawed in you are snoballing it to be more than it is. many of the "MMA" schools are very weak and their style has been watered down.

  • its your opinion, I've personally sparred with BJJ guys and JKD guys and not only are they good people they are for the most part smart fighters. BTW as a BJJ Student just so you know we don't just shoot to the legs we very slyly I might add slip under your inital attack then grab you and take you down, its actually a very versatile system you should look into it. A good student always remains humble knowing there is always more to learn both about life and about death.

  • @clfguardian The good thing about BJJ in terms of self-defense is that most street punks can't grapple for shit and wind up getting twisted. The one downside is that it's not good against multiple opponents.

  • @clfguardian i read a cool thing about army training with bjj. they have to stress control rather than competition bjj. so they give one man out of 20 a taser and let them all roll around. if they dont control their opponent properly they get 20 000 volts lol. scary

  • @clfguardian

    Well said!!

  • @clfguardian very true..a student of the universe.......realizes this applies to all aspects of our life....

  • bullshido

  • Yep.

  • thank you

  • Great video.
