i beg to differ. i think chinese players have the basic grasped really well. however i think the best table tennis player of all time is The Oak aka J. O. Waldner for his intelligence and creativity. His play is dubbed the Mona Lisa of Table Tennis. All with me say aye.

yep. they all say timo boll has the best forehand but i disagree. i think the chinese have it. if you look at timo boll, his motion does not go all the way. compared to chinese, they use their whole body and forearm. as regards the rest of the players you mentioned, i cant say much cause i dont know. but i hear koreans have the best footwork.

Timo Boll has very good reaction, and hims southpaw style righting to a big problems with rotation for right-handed persson. Hims forehand topspin is for right-handed players to backhand very often, and this is comfortable advantage for southpaw. I'm southpaw too, and it me prosper for my career in TT. Timo is for me my ideal.

I have played hockey and soccer at the college level, as well as a host of other sports for fun. I can honestly say that while TT is not as physically demanding as hockey, the speed, skill, and reflexes neccacary for the sport are simply unrivaled. I hope someday to be half as good as these guys.
