Actually, due to UK police cutbacks they can't afford real tazers, so instead are issued with toy tazers and just shout "TAZER! TAZER! TAZER!" and the victim will jerk and scream like being shocked. Some forces can't afford the £4.99 toy tazers, so officers instead just point their fingers.

If it is used right which in this case it clearly was not, what we have here are officers that are getting a buzz out of the bullying of an unarmed man. The taser was to be used on armed and dangerous people. I hope the victim wins his battle in a civil court and sends the right message to police officers.....you are not the law, you are employed to uphold it.

How many police does it take to restrain one man? The use of a Taser is just under these circumstances is unacceptable. The man was on the floor with two police men on him, followed by another two officers. One of which can be seen to be punching this individual.
When i first viewed this i thought that this was in America, with another example of their "Thug" police.

Nothing wrong with how this was handled. I would like to point out that in order for them to have even armed themselves with a taser, they would have been given info that he had some sort of weapon. The authority to deploy taser would have come from the duty inspector in the control room. You people slagging off should learn not to take things on face value. Simply put - Comply with police instructions.
He did not comply, they could not cuff him as he refused to put his hands out, therefore they tasered him. The strikes put in are strikes I, as a security officer, also use. They are designed to break the stance of the offender. He was punched in the shoulder muscle, NOT the face, to release his arms to be cuffed.
Police doing there job, once again getting slated by those who dont appreciate the difficult job they do.

Difficult job? 4 men to subdue 1 man? Be real. The police force is a club for bully victims who want payback. The issue is that the police are public SERVANTS. Necessary force means necessary force. If four police officers can't handle one man without resorting to this degree of violence then they need better training or a bit more nerve. This treatment increases hatred for the police, which adds momentum to the increase in situations like this arising and being met with a similar response.
