  • It's sad and depressing to see and hear Dick Clark like this now. It's not nostalgic, it's cringe-worthy. Please just pass the reigns on to Ryan and let Mr. Clark retire gracefully. Let us remember him when he was at his best, not when he's garbled and struggling.

  • Painful to listen to Dick now

  • @TheBostonThreeParty1 painful??? grateful be the word your looking for.

  • biggest performer on the planet? bitch please.

  • Dick Clark is still the man.

  • Dick Clark is the New Years Eve main guy! :)

  • Hi people! Who was your favorite performance? Mine was nicki minaj!

  • Terri Nunn could chop her head off.

  • hee dürft ihr nicht selber knallen ?

  • How come he doesn't go outside with his headpiece anymore? Or are they just waiting for him to recover? It would be amazing for him to do that one day but I'd say let him rest first and we'll see what happens.

  • Even though it is tradition and wouldn't feel right if Dick Clark didn't start off the new year, it's so sad to watch him struggle ):

  • He sounded more vibrant and excited back in the 80's and early 90's when he did Rockin Eve.

  • God forever bless you,Dick Clark!

  • Will Dick Clark ever get back his full strength or will this be the way he'll sound from now on cause looking at him,not the same as he used to be full of energy and stuff and the way he sounds is like that of an 100 year old man.

  • @howardtheman with age, severity of past stroke, appropriate rehab....recovery to near normal conditioning is an individual progress or decline ..... for Dick Clark and the most who suffered the effects of stroke , we all hope for the best and speedy bounce back of health..... thanks for your input....happy new year!

  • @singaspizza his 82

  • @howardtheman He's looking pretty damn good for someone who had a stroke.

  • @howardtheman HE HAD A STROKE

  • While he suffers from the effects of his 2004 STROKE, the 81-year-old iconic host took his customary role as America's TV ambassador for the New Year.

His speech noticeably slurred, Clark counted down 2011's final seconds, before belting out "Happy New Year!"

Full strength or not, Clark rang in 2012 by planting a big kiss on his wife's lips.

From there, Ryan Seacrest, who has been the primary host of "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin Eve" since 2005, resumed emcee duties.

  • @mrspatrickcampbell What is wrong with you? Don't you read the news. My god the man had a stroke and now you call him a homosexual. Grow up!

  • @msavagrace40 Are you saying homosexuals can't suffer strokes? They are people too, you know. How about YOU grow up and realize the homosexuals are subject to the same illnesses as heterosexuals do. They aren't some separate species, jerky.
