  • peter frampton on burt surgmans was the best

  • OMG those pants....... *dreams*

  • Tight performance but a lousy job on the recording by the sound man. What the audience heard probably sounded good because of the natural reverb you get in the venue they were playing.

  • Best fucking version of that song ever... make Yardbirds proud...

  • you r rock

  • Steven pants' are so cool, does anyone know what fabric or material are they made of?

  • @DiegoRockOn I have no idea, but I definately want a pair!

  • @Rockerchick629 Yeah, they're fuckin' amazing

  • @DiegoRockOn I know! I wish I was alive in the 70s. But nooo I just had to be born in '98. It sucks being stuck in the wrong generation.

  • @Rockerchick629 Yeah, the "music" today has no real instruments in it, except for excesive amounts of bass

  • @DiegoRockOn yeah. I luv a cranked up bass, but the "music" today is just ridiculous.

  • This video & song = sex.

  • Steven Tyler looks like a fucking monkey

  • Poor Steven....He had no room to hump the stage....lol...Love Them!

  • first time I heard this song was on the live album "Rockin the Joint." In that version of this song, Steven changed his voice three times, I think.

  • eric,jeff,jimmy,joe kept it rollin

  • thanks for uploading this Midnight Special

  • I heard this song for the first time, when I was 13 years old,I was paralyzed, the best I ever heard, ohhh my god, since then,I was a huge fan of Steven and aerosmith,I LOVE AEROSMITH

  • He was pretty then and stll rockin" Joe Perry is amazing and so sexy. Music is great.

  • No, Joe Perry is sexy as a motherfucker!

  • @pagefan1 Damn Straight!

  • Read his autobiography. What a trip!

  • steven has such a unique face

  • Steven Tyler never had to change his look. He always looks cool.

  • Thumbs up if your still going to be watching in 2012 (until the end of the world that is)

  • Steven is the hottest person on earth.....still :3

  • Why the hell dosn't this have 185 million hits ??? Rock on Steven

  • Nice, but I miss Little Richard.

  • nvrmnd mdnght spcl

  • Was this Kirschners Rock Concert?

  • drum solo...KICK ASS!!

  • these dudes rock

  • Steven is sexy as a motherfucker

  • Hell YEAAAH !

  • This band was totally awesome in the 70's. Yeah, I like 'em. I'm not hating on them at all, but, personally, I prefer their 70's stuff!

  • Holy shit that some bad guitar playing by Joe. Then again, he wasn't the one who played guitar to this song on their album either. What a fraud, in my view.

  • @jerririgit

that's not bad why are you disrespecting this very great band?

  • 6 people got rolled over by the train

  • Joe Perry resembles Johnny Thunders here! :P

  • Damn good.

  • People grow and change! And they tend to mellow with age...

  • They were good in their day. I'm sad that I never seen them live. Now they are too old to rock like they once did.

  • @ErtyOpas I know... but my mom saw them with a couple of my aunts in concert and Steven was so f-ed up that he forgot the lyrics. Still wish I was there though XD

  • Old school Aerosmith before they turned into a bunch of pussies!!

  • @Turdbuckethat They never did. someday you'll get old to though.

  • @blardave I'm 48 and I started listening to Aerosmith in the 70s. Yes they did get all pussified. They used to be a great blues/rock band then they started in with all the mushy ass commercialized love song crap like "Cryin" and shit like that! You got your opinion and I can respect that, but I just don't like the newer Aerosmith!

  • @Turdbuckethat I'm 47 and I couldn't agree with you more! As well, it's one thing to mellow with age but just because you do doesn't mean you have to play crap ass commercial shite. I'd rather they visit more of their blues past, you can never be too old for the blues. Steven as an AI judge is also a slap in the face to everything that is cool about real Rock and Roll.

  • @Johnnywhamo Right on bro! I'll take Train Kept A Rollin" and Back in the Saddle over their contemporary crap anyday!!

  • @Turdbuckethat yeah and I forgot. remember the first time you heard Dream On?!!! I got chills from it man! Nothing they did after the 70s ever did that to me.

  • @Turdbuckethat If they make a new album I have a feeling it's going to be a big pile of crap based on the direction they're going. If they did a song with Auto-Tune on it I'd jump off a bridge! Again I can't say enough on how disappointed I am with Tyler judging AI. It's everything music shouldn't be and he's there promoting that crap!

  • @KiriAeroTyler He says in his book that he wore the shirt until it literally fell off ;-)

  • @sallie46 and what a great book it is too

  • needs mo cowbell

  • ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

SHUT UP AND ENJOY THE MUSIC!

    ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

    Rock on, man. :)

  • hell ya its the show stoppin' for eva rockin' mr. steven tyler!

  • I don't think anybody does a better version - nobody gives the dirty swank like Aerosmith ...

  • yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • yes, the best. in thier book, steven say's they were shit-faced playin this. gee, i would never think they were shitted up lol

  • fuck all the haters this song is the essence of rock and roll!!!!! dont post your hating as bullshit on this band they are the shit!!!!

  • And Joe Perry still wore no shirts...who says old habits die hard?

  • AEROSMITH IS AWSOME!!!! RAISED ON THIS SHIT!!!!

  • the best

  • Aerosmith rocked the Midnight Special. Yes!

  • It's like only joe perry's guitar is plugged in and he kicks ass why did they even bother with the other guy. I don't even know his name he just looks out of place. He should be in some lame seventies band.

  • @fvlak1 thats brad whitford....if it werent for him then the aerosmith we all know and love wouldnt be even close to as good as it was then and now.

  • this is the most badass song ever written...the riff is fun to play and i can see why jef beck references this live. it's so fun to play :)

  • I'm sry I thought we were talkin' 'bout me

  • I fukin love them!!! I hate it when ppl hate on thier music now, Aerosmith's music is the fukin best from the past 20 yrs until the time Aerosmith started....If you're a true fuckin fan you like thier music no fukin matter what if you don't then you're not & go dry hump a fukin cactus you basterds!!!! Aerosmith is Americas hometown band...The Bad Boys from Boston!!!! ^(A)^ ♥♥♥

  • @kelborn24 It was drugs and smoking my dear friend.. When you smoke, your voice becomes scratchy and raspy. And he screams a lot so.. It does stuff to your vocal cords.

  • @cfhscheer That isn't entirely the case here, it's a vocal technique that he uses to make his voice sound raspy. About the screaming sounding scratchy. it's because back then he was trying to pull out high notes from his chest voice, not like these days, actually screaming in his head voice. The reason it took him so long to change is because back then there wasn't a Steven Tyler to teach him how to do it. lol Drugs and alcohol don't ruin your voice much if you take care of it. O.o

    Peace

  • I love it all - the band, the song, the clothes, the sexiness, that whole era. Steven Tyler is smoking hot in this video clip.

  • Why couldn't I have been alive? I would've been a groupie, I would've followed Aerosmith, Steven would've realized that he loved me, we'd do it, and I'd die. It sounds a lot better to me than living in these stupid times.

  • @TheAerochick13 It's alot better for women today. You should become a high end hooker and get paid well to do it instead of sleeping with this drug addict of a singer. Groupies were used and thrown away. Hookers are thrown away but if your smart you can save alot of mullah. My good deed of the day.

  • @mr5exywolf Yes, it may be a lot better for women today, but that's mainly because the male mind as we know it is deteriorating due to advances in technology. They didn't have Runescape in the 70s.

  • okay, i need an answer from someone, how did he make his voice so raspy and bluesy just in 6 years or less from a voice that was relatively pure back in '66?

  • Im watching this in 1840 i used the chinese book of changes known as the I Ching to transcend time.

  • あの"翔べエアロスミス"が蘇る!~1974、ヤードバーズ激曲 "TRAIN KEPT A ROLLIN'!"~爆裂し始めた頃!

  • i Love Steven Tyler!! <3 =)

  • faster... FASTER!!!!

  • My favorite video on Youtube.

Hottest video on Steven Tyler and Joe Perry also. (:

  • friken lucky 70's kids they get rock now for music theres pop shit

  • Sure.. they were great then. I saw them at their opening with Lenard Skynrd at the RKO Davenport Iowa. They were just a band from Boston. When they turned around, so many lights went up 1 match, every other person, 30 rows that the band began to laugh, I was in row 2 and laughed with them and reached to my right for the pipe. They rocked. I think still the best show of my life.

  • Thumbs up if you're watching this in 2011 :D

  • @drake108100 NO I'M A TIME TRAVELLER AND IT'S 2112 HERE.

  • @drake108100 I watched this show when it fisrt aired. in 1974.

It made me a life time fan.

  • @drake108100 nah bitch, even better, 2012

  • @PowAngryPirate I posted it when it was still 2011, dumbass

  • Hands down, the best American band to come out of the 70s.

  • The American version of the Stones

  • wow this is amazing. does anyone notice how tight his pants are? whoa. he doesn't make ANYTHING hot, he makes EVERYTHING hot. love it!!!! and the song is so cool. i'e heard other versions but this is definitely the very best. STEVEN TYLER is AMAZING. wow. maybe i already said this but WOW

  • there are 4 people who dont like this?

  • @tontomcepstein yes, there is. now there's 5.

  • Smokin!!!!

  • STEVEN TYLER IS AMAZINGGGGGGG!!!!!!! no words 2 decribe how amazing he is!!!!

  • steven tyler and mick jagger could have passed off as brothers back in this era.

  • @beggar81 I don't know why people say that. There aren't any similarities except both have large mouths but they are shaped differently & different teeth; ST had more of an overbite when he was young. Different color eyes, different color & style of hair in the '70s, different facial structure...I liked both in the 70s & never thought they looked the same. It's weird to me how people say that. ST's hair was black then most of the time, colored here. Anyway, both were cute then.

  • hahahahahaha- retro =)

  • 4 people are on a bus

  • damn joe is awesome..

  • 4 people don't know real music.

  • They spoke to the heart of those who just love innovation in music. I remember them from 73 and lest just say they were ahead of their times.

  • @KiriAeroTyler Agreeing with youuuuuuu. (;

  • can you smell the cocaine..?

  • @Steve0585 your exactly spot on, there was no auto tune. Either you could sing or you could not, and Steven can belt it dead on when he wants to.

  • Comment removed

  • Does that sound like a fuzzface of joe's guitar to anyone else?

  • @Steve0585 hell yea he should be damn high to dont sound awesome like usual.

  • Tyler looked like Freddie Mercury back then.

  • Yarbirds Version, Zeppelin Version, & Aerosmith Version. :D my how I Love this song,

  • Damn, Steven Tyler's mouth is bigger than Cab Calloway's!

  • Damn, Steven Tyler's mouth is bigger than Cab Calloway's!

  • @Snellinator326 i did just like mick jagger lol

  • @skidrow764 are you saying you had a big mout like mick jagger???

  • thumbs up if you think this a awsome song.

  • WOW awsome drum solo ever at 1:30

  • Joe perry seems surprisingly weak here, especially at the beggining

  • Wow ehhe I remember the Midnight Special show. Use to watch it all the time and actually saw this Aerosmith show back then.

Check the bnd out as they're playing. They're all like powder kegs wanting to explode but can't because of the tiny stage they were put on LOL. Tyler especially... He gets so whacked with it he has to turn in circles to let the energy out LOL.

  • This song blasted from the high school cafeteria jukebox just about every lunchtime circa 1979/1980. Just as good now as it was then.

  • I saw Foghat, Montrose, and Aerosmith back in the mid '70s, the ticket cost a whole $5.00 to see all three bands. The concert lasted almost 6 hours, and Aerosmith totally OWNED the stage.

  • Damn. Sucks people waste their time listening to "popular" music, instead of REAL music. 4 people are idiots. They represent a much larger group of idiots. Internet or not, I'd pay for this music, and I'd bitch if I had to pay for the crap that passes as music these days. In my humble opinion and all that.

  • The greatest rock n roll band in the world

  • Nobody rocks a mic stand like Steven Tyler! (Great video...thx for posting!)

  • how did he make the snare sound like that?!

  • Wow, Great vid but I can see why they had Dick Wagner play the guitar solo on the studio version.

  • he's so fk'n sexy

  • best rock song ever made

  • Animal, uma reliquia esse vídeo!

  • I LOVE YOU AEROSMITH!

    I LOVE YOU STEVEN TYLER!

  • The version of this song on "Get Your Wings" is one of the greatest rock-n-roll songs ever recorded by ANY band ever. Even if it was Dick Wagner & Steve Hunter actually playing the guitar parts.

  • Comment removed

  • Damn that makes me wanna get high!!!

  • @mazzy544 =Incense an a packed Bong...Blacklite on!

  • WOW! it's like his voice here was different!? AMAZING!! no one comes close to this band till now man!

  • =Bongs Out an Packed Blacklite on.. an Rock the fuck OUT

  • Straight out boogie blues rock!

  • straight muh fuckin ballin

  • look at joe perry's guitar. it's LEGIT! check out how the truss rod is just above the neck pickup. NICE

  • Little did they know how much drugs would follow....

  • god i love american idol

  • Old school Aerosmith is the best. Their music from the past 20 years blows.

  • @edwardsre agreed!

  • @edwardsre Janies got a gun is a good song but its been parodied too much.

  • @edwardsre anything from aerosmith rocks!!!

  • @edwardsre not all of it. get a grip was good, just not them. kinda like black album and metallica

  • @edwardsre exactly.. i feel the same way. for about the past 20 years seems like their focus is on ballads/ love songs, and gypsy fashion soft rock. im just burned out on it. i would love to hear them go back to their old gritty blues/hard rock style just one more time. lol..

  • the high quality is awesome and it is from 1974

  • argh the mix is bad

  • what great bands we got to see on t,v, regular tv before mtv.

  • I just wish the volume was higher!

  • what albumn is this from them? not on itunes..

  • @rryking Get Your Wings

  • Comment removed

  • @metallikuh520 I think it has more to do with their former managers and the hate they have for them than it does with iTunes.

  • Aerosmith have done two of my favorite covers ever. This one of a Yardbirds classic and their rendition of Come Together of the Beatles.

  • Joe Perry does the swell almost as well as Jeff Beck in the intro

  • i like stevens voice when he was younger, but wat dose it matter till aerosmith!

  • hahaha I was in my mothers womb when all this good stuff was born :)

  • love this, reminds me of good times, getting pissed and playin guitar hero after a night out in a heavy metal bar!

  • i have this on dvd haha

  • Imagine Joe Perry starting off with the "whistle", Fast Eddie Clarke walking on starting "chug-chug-chug" and whomever (lol) singing...then Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page come on to solo...Ah well a man can dream...

  • but i just couldn't tell her AW KA KA KA KA KA!!!

  • woah, singers mouth is huge... he could fit a whole big mac in that thing....

  • aerosmith is good... but Jimmy Page is a god... he was doing the things that Van Halen got known for back in the late 50s early 60s... Jimmy is what made Hendrix learn rock instead of just blues riffs... the yardbirds were like the bad boys of the beatles timeframe!!!

  • @dixieboy85 Ok, really? Jimmy Page is a freaking god, but so are the guys in Aerosmith. And as for Jimmy doing the things that Van Halen did but back int he 50s and 60s? That is just straight up bullshit. Same with Hendrix stuff, although he probably did actually influence Jimi. But the way you put it makes it sound like Hendrix would of just been some blues guy if it weren't for Page. It's fine to like him so much, but don't just make up shit and over dramatize him cause of it.

  • @dixieboy85 I didn't realize Jimmy Page was playing in the late 50's and early 60's. In the mid-60's with the Yardbirds yes.

  • why is he using a strat

  • @sippymax Cause strats kick ass too!!!!!!!!

  • Ohhh!!!God!!!!! AEROSMITH IS THE BEST !!! STEVEN TE AMOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! SE PARTE DE BUENOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! BUUU YAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!

  • 0.0 This is fucking AWESOME! I've never seen such early footage of them live!

  • Pure raw Aerosmith, the way it was meant to be. wicked.

  • Joey is such an inspirational drummer. His use of opening the hi-hat is the best I've heard from any drummer.

  • I used to have the 8-Track of the recording this came from: Get Your Wings.

You should look up the Original of this song by the Yardbirds.

  • Nice gold coke straw on Perry's necklace LMAO

  • best with the les paul...
