i love this song, when ed sheeran isn't singing it, he tries to hard when in my opinion he should let it flow alot more, he puts emphasis on the wrong parts of the song, and this song is sang best when it's nice and smooth with no bits where he randomly goes alot louder, ed also ruins alot more when he goes really high on certain words and it just ruins the feeling and tbh when he goes high his voice doesn't even sound that good.

I think you make a good point, but this does not sound anything like Jack Johnson, and sometimes new versions just have more soul and emotion than originals, a good example is Bruce Springsteens- im on fire, John Mayer covers this and in my opinion does a better Job, he also does a better Job of Tom Pettys "free fallin", its nice to hold the greats and originals in their respected place, but some new artist really are sometimes genuinely more talented
