@SmashingShinyRay Contacts cannot be non prescription and yet require a prescription. There are non corrective contact lenses that do not affect vision and yet even those do require a prescription in the United States. It's the law. I have not said otherwise here, so I do not know what, exactly, you are referring to.
@tcstix All statements are pulled from the FDA, Federal Trade Com, and other eye health sites. 'Non prescription' lenses just means they do not correct vision, they still require a prescription to fit the eye. Fit and vision are two different things. I apologize for any misunderstanding that MAY be happening here. Just trying to do what is right. Links...
@tcstix ALL contact lenses are safe IF they fit the wearer's eyes and the wearer takes care of them properly. Links are as follows, feel free to have a look at the FDA website, Federal Trade Commissions Contact Lens Rule (It is listed under the Fairness to Contact Lens Consumer's Act), and the various news reports... They are safe to wear IF the wearer gets them to fit their eye... improper fit = damage. That is all I was saying.
You should not buy contact lenses from anywhere except through your eye doctor because contact lenses aren't one size fit all... better safe than sorry..
Colored contact lenses are safe if you don't have eye problems. What you want to be careful of is getting cheap colored contacts. They can be a problem if they're made with cheap paint in them. That paint can be toxic to your eyes and even have you go blind (I'm not making that up - there are plenty of news stories out there). Just don't get the cheap ones. Get a name brand and you're fine. Enjoy them!
@tcstix Not a true statement. All contact lenses, even decorative and circle lenses that are available in non prescription, require a proper prescription and fitting by a licensed eye care professional; Even if the wearer has perfect, 20/20 vision. The lens is a piece of plastic made to fit your eye regardless of correcting vision or not. A poor fit can cause serious eye damage, including: scratches on the cornea, corneal infection, conjunctivitis, decreased vision, and even blindness.
All stand for Youtube's National Anthem.

with the exception of maybe dark brown and brown, I don't think asians should wear color contacts. they just end up looking fake and stupid.
flh1980 11 months ago
@flh1980 i dont think asians look bad with colored contacts.
it depends how they look like on you. everybody is different . colored contacts may good on you or it may not.
again it all depends how it looks on the person its self.
it is not determed on what ethnicity you for something to look good on you
