Mt father drove one in the 80's, I had one in 2004 (sold it before leaving overseas) and now that I'm back I've bought a new one: series II gti. This car has all you need/want and more comfort and character than anything on the road -- and the best driver seats ever !
@russkoj I drive 2.4 gti, series one, and im 180cm tall, for some reason i hardly got any space in there driver side mirror that enlarges everything annoys me and i sink so badly in the seats that i look ridiculuss geting out of it. But still that CX is the best ride ever!
I was the very proud owner of a Cx 2000 Familiele Estate and to this day miss it so much. The finest most unusual car you can find anywhere. Plus it was a superb and prestige car and def the French Rolls Royce
As an owner of a 1988 CXA Prestige I can only say that it the most comfortable car I have ever ridden in. It is still technically more advanced than anything built by US auto manufacturers.
It will still do nearly 120 mph (did it once only) and it is hard to keep it from cruising at 90+ on the interstate.
You're incredibly lucky.I've only driven CX's overseas.Politicians should be so charismatic (and make so much sense).I haven't been able to find one since I've been of age to drive/buy a car.Unfortunately I'm as mechanical as a hamster, and Citroen shops weren't exactly peppered all over the US.
It's a long time ago i had a ride in a cx. I even had the misfortune to ride in a diesel station wagon. But still it was a wonderful car.
French buildquality means you have to keep your witts about you when buying, and expect a lot of hassels. But i would live with the odd problem, if i could have those looks and that fantastic ride. I agree with what is said in the vid as well: It's even cooler now then it ever was. What a car!:-)
I've got the same Prestige 2.5Turbo ... man this car have presence - lot's of space, the best car ride ever and enough power ... looks great -- real head turner
1970s - Yes I know they were made then but the car depicted is actually a 1985 model - Very unique creatures, the CX - funny thing was though that in spite of its hatchback looks, the car was always a normal booted four door sedan!
They break the bank when they need repairing i should know i owned one but boy what a beutiful car it was.

Also, they failed to mention that the Tyres are wider on the front wheels than on the back wheels.
AND, that two thirds of its weight is on the front end.
AND, that the car is wider at the front so you know that if you get the front end through the gap the remainder will follow!
...it's a beautiful and unique car.

Yes, the CX GTi non-turbo reaches 120mph...even the automatic.
It reaches this top speed at revs redline in top gear.
Know of any other cars that do this?

The facts quoted here are wrong! 120mph, is for the non- turbo GTi auto. The turbo will do nearly 140mph!!
