  • What is the music in this video?

  • this score fits perfectly!

  • It was a great era in history.

Camelot was a myth, but the times were wonderful.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • Camelot? It's only a model.

  • The music is beautiful, it almost makes you want to weep. I'm british, i shouldn't be so nostalgic and sad for the kennedy family, but i can't help it. I just want to go back in time, and make it better, but i know i never will. I don't like feeling that helpless. He didn't deserve to die. The same goes, for his brother Bobby too.

  • Beautiful video :)

  • It really was not Camelot.

    That is a myth.

Many people refuse to believe that their marriage was in trouble and that the Kennedy's were not perfect.

JFK was a good leader who did not back down from enemies.

He truly wanted a better tomorrow.

As for Camelot, that is just what people want to believe.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • @GeorgeVreelandHill I agree. Kennedy was no saint, who is? BUT,I believe he wanted to work towards peace in our time, and that's why he was forced to leave the world so soon. The womanizing is irrelevant, in my opinion, and Camelot was media spin.

  • @BlackieGirl Camelot was also used to describe the era in which the Kennedys took center stage. It was definitely more of an innocent time (innocent as compared to what we are dealing in the twenty-first century). It was an idealistic time and JFK represented youth, vitality, innocence, peace, freedom.. etc.

  • Pierce the shell of Camelot, and it was all hollow inside.

  • Aaaaah. I knew I'd flush you out inspectorcritic. First of all, you can't spell worth a damn. Instead of worrying about "Reptilian Android Clones" (that's right, you misspelled "Reptilian" amongst other words) maybe you should devote more time to studying spelling instead. And in 500 characters or less, I was able to get you to reveal exactly what you are - just another embittered, ignorant, white trash racist, who probably keeps a massive gun collection to compensate for having no balls.

  • You are either a "Reptilain Android Clone or a drilled brain patriot idiot. No one with a IQ level over 4 would buy any of that Kennedy shit. Hey stupid, if you have any brain function what so ever think. He started the nuclear crissis to begin with. The only people he help was blacks and other minorities including canibals that e was artificialy created from blacks in Africa by sticking some large spider in his hide and enslaving it with a toad like salmander, to work for niggers and other ilk.

  • King Arthur was so righteous.

    OFF with Kennedy's head!

Fair sentence at the trial of Camelot.

  • @inspectorcritic - Your comments are sick and you are a two time loser. That "creep" is quite possibly the only reason you're actually alive. He saved this country from being nuked during the Cuban Missile Crisis. John Kennedy wasn't perfect, but he devoted much of his life to helping others and it ended up costing him his life. You apparently devote your life to militias and aliens or some shit like that. If John Kennedy was still alive, you should be on your knees kissing his ass in gratitude.

  • WHAT A FALSE LIGHT OF SUCH A CREEP!

  • @inspectorcritic Like all humans, he was flawed and he was mortal.

  • thank you for an excellent tribute to JFK and those great days long ago. I met Pres. Kennedy in 1962 and worked for his brother RFK in 1968's Pres. Campaign. I was part of the advance team and our singing group traeled with him in southern california. Have a look at RFK68.com for the beginning of my triubute.

    Thank You. Leon

  • nebi, his death was planned from his nomination night and throughout his presidency, research shows this, and the real culprits were never caught because the cabal that set the plot in motion had many members, the most senior of which all became presidents, as a reward. Every president from Johnson, who was most directly involved in planning and set up the assassination, to George Bush senior, all knew or were involved in the plot.

  • the grestest president of the 20th century, he died fighting for us. Trying to make America free again.

  • The day he was shot, Jackie received the yellow roses from texas. everywhere else she got red roses. isn't that interesting?

  • @Jantv81 It was prob a sign from the CIA saying " We did him in"

  • This is the only realy Queen from Unites Estates,Jaqueline Kennedy Onassis, the only, the best,The Wonderful...

  • FOREVER MY COMMANDER AND CHIEF J FK

  • I remember this America. And it was a great time!

  • Thank you for this classy tribute to an America that few people remember.

  • Sigolet you are an idiot.

  • Doesn't Sigolet know that on the day of JFK's death, he was denounced by the right wing in a Dallas newspaper ad as being "soft on communism" & a traitor. How far left did Sigolet want him to go.

The Peace Corps, the race to the moon, the integration of Southern Universities, the Civil Rights Bill (passed in '64), the Nuclear Test Ban Treat, the Cuban Missile Crisis, the refusal to americanize the Vietnam War (under strong pressue to do so) were not failures.

  • Well done.

  • Thank you so much for this wonderful tribute :) May we always Remember the good brought into this world by the Kennedy Family

  • Lovely Lovely people. Yes, they had their problems. Yes, they had their skeletons, but Yes, we loved them in spite of it, and who doesnt have their sin? JFK died because the Bankers didnt like him ending their party, (stopped them from printing USA money in 1963). He was dead a few short months later. US NOTES 1963, look it up.

  • BOOKENDS-- A Time it was, oh what a time it was. A time of innocence. A time of confidences. Long ago it must be. I have a photograph. Preserve your memories. They're all that' s left you.

  • Why is every expression on the Governor Connally's face from that fateful day one of anticipatory nervousness?

  • I can't see the pictures of them in that car that I don't get chills and have vivid memories of that day In November, 1963 when the world changed forever.

  • The Kennedy administration was no more a "camelot" than the Soviet Union was a "workers' paradise."

Without the cult of personality and martyrdom that has grown up around JFK as a result of his being assassinated, JFK would have been repudiated by the Democratic Party as the man who got us into the Vietnam war and a right-wing heretic.

He would be remembered by all as an immoral and failed president.

  • Perfect actors as Jack Kennedy? Mine that I thought did the best job was Bruce Greenwood in "Thirteen Days" & as Jackie would have to go to Blair Brown in the miniseries "Kennedy".

  • I would ask you to check out William Devine's performance in the 1977 T.V. movie, "The Missles of October". He came as close to JFK as one could get without being the man himself. Also in that movie, Martin Sheen portrayed Bobby Kennedy the Attorney General. He did a better job in that movie as Bobby than he did in the miniseries "Kennedy" in my opinion.

  • The Missles of October was released in 1973.

  • I saw it in 1977.

  • and in the word's of jackie kennedy... "there'll never be another camelot again..."

and we know that surely .. there wont be. i love you mr. president. i hope to meet you in the hereafter.

  • From the words of JFK: "Don't let it be forgot, that once there was a spot. For one brief shining moment that was known as CAMELOT."

  • 1,000 days in office, a great leader who forever changed our nation. Thank you JFK and Family.

  • very nice! thank you.

  • King Arthur (JFK) will never be forgotten.

  • katie holmes?

Jackie would gag if she were alive

but since she's not i'll do it for her,

    ew Katie, why her?

she is starting to have good style finally though

  • @xxDolllFacexx Blair Brown did an excellent job of playing Jackie to Martin Sheen's "Kennedy". But Katie does resemble Jackie to a certain extent.

  • Does anyone know the beautiful music being played in the background? what a fitting tribute

  • USA is the dream country for everybody in the world for everything that has done in the past and now but one thing i can not understand how more than 40 years from the day JFK was killed they still did not found the man or foud out the truth or told the truth to the poeple the who and the what killed JFK.. Shame for all Presidents after JFK

  • Kennedy dies, Nixon lives, Reagan lives, shame on LBJ for going into Vietnam, Bush for going into Iraq, Clinton for lying under oath, and finally although she never made it to VP, Sarah Palin for being the dummy that she is.

  • @nebi210 The assasin Oswald was found the same day and shot dead by Jack Ruby two days later........ big pause for the conspiracy nuts to reply...

  • @nebi210 ive heard they knew if americans ever found out the truth this country would be ripe for a revolution. i think it was CIA/ right wing super rich oil men who would have lost billions maybe trillions with no war with cuba russia loas or vietnam, no more oil depletion allowenc and plus they hated the kennedys anways. i really think the assassination of JFK has negatively affected the world more then any other event in the last 50 years.

  • jack kennedy was the 'people's president'

he has done so much for the american people.

  • God bless the President

  • sorry, I meant 1:40-1:54

  • 1:50-1:54 is heartbreaking to watch. Little did he know his life would come to an end by an asassins bullet. I hope those involved in his death are rotting in hell.

God bless John and Jackie Kennedy.

  • jackie the goodes of the elegance ecumenic woman marcela montevideo uruguay south america

  • Can i buy this music on cd ??

  • Yes, it is from the soundtrack from the movie, The American President. Replay the video and the get the info at 7 secs into it.

  • sorry, just saw the titles at the beginning , a beautiful piece of music , perfect

  • Very moving tribute .Can any body tell me the title of the theme tune please ? Is by it john williams ?

    thanks

  • What a great tribute! I've never lived in the Kennedy years but I always find that period very proud. Although his life was too short both as one man and as the President, I believe that his spirit of freedom and inquiring mind will always be in people's mind.

  • I have taught both my children of this wonderful time in America-I am a prud Canadian but very proud to the U.S.A. and of this wonderful time known as the CAMELOT ERA.

  • Bring back the Camelot years. This was a wondrful Time in History.

    God Bless this Family

  • Your spirit will never die!!

  • This was a very moving tribute, and that theme song is so beautiful and appropriate! I was only two years old when JFK was killed; no matter what they say about him, he was one of our best presidents EVER. But I feel a certain sadness when I look at little "John-John", too...I still can't believe he's gone.

  • Very nice - good video, thanks

  • Everyone loved him except maybe his political rivals such as Nixon. JFK stood for human and civil rights, freedom, and democracy. These traits are unheard of in the corridors of the Capitol and White House of today. Camelot is of a bygone era, a glamorous and chic Jackie O and a young Irish Catholic senator from Massachusetts named Jack Kennedy. We can thank JFK for his initiative to take America into space and the moon. We thank JFK for standing up to the Soviet Union. I loved this President.

  • HEY. Check out my NEW jfk music video.

Type: The end of camelot and watch it all of you.

  • Beautiful and moving. Thank you

  • I enjoyed the video and music. However, it would have been better if the pictures were in the correct dated order.

  • bush is not an evil man youve got to b kidding

he condones torture spying renduring bombing and invading and murduring over thousands of iraqis

  • i love this song!

i played this song in Orchestra at a memorial for our Principal, who had this song custom arranged for us

  • Bill Clinton was a great US president too but you in the USA thought he was a criminal for having a few flings with other women.

Yet you lot regard George W Bush as some sort of hero even though he is responsible for the deaths of thousands around the world.

  • i agree that Bush isnt the best person for the job, but he's definitely not the worst.

i mean it could always be worse: we could have someone who's crazy instead of just stupid. (and I mean Hitler/Stalin/Kim Jong Il-type crazy)

  • I agree with you BC. Things are not perfect but it could be worse and I'm so tired of the media and people blowing things out of proportion. Bush is not a very good president but I genuinely believe that he's a good person, not the evil monster like some people make him out to be.

  • The very worst Presidents in history regarded by scholars and many historians were Herbert Hoover and Richard M. Nixon. George W. Bush is bad, but he does not come close to the disaster that Hoover did to the American economy during the Great Depression and the lies and scandals of what Nixon attempted to get away with.

  • I dunno, i think bill was controlled too

  • Great video and music.

Anyone notice the guy at 0:39 looks like PeeWee Herman.

  • Im 17 years old, and I am from Canada. Although John and Robert Kennedy were american politicans I have known about them since an early age. John F. Kennedy is a hero of mine and I believe him to be the best president in the history of the United States. It is important that we remember him, and his idea's and values. So I thank you from the bottom of my heart for keeping his memory alive. I just wish the world can some day have another leader such as him. Great Video.

  • at 1:30 that is martin sheen and jaclyn smith from movie of jfk in 83

  • yes, i must confess that is true.

  • That's ok Manny. A most stirring and fine tribute, one my favorite of almost 200 I have saved. Only wish it was longer; same goes for his presidency.. Thanks again

  • @Manny535

It's not Jaclyn Smith! She played Jackie opposite James Franciscus as Jack in another movie. Blair Brown is in that photo, as Jackie, opposite Martin Sheen's JFK.

  • @irish89055 Not Jaclyn Smith, it was Blair Brown who could have easily have been Jackie's twin sister.

  • @Jantv81 thanks, yes you're right. I should have remember as they made that tv movie here in Richmond , VA Excellent tribute by Manny though...

  • @irish89055 Thanks for telling me.

  • @Jantv81 Jan, you're welcome.. that post was a year ago lol... funny, just tonight I was going through some of my VHS tapes and watched a documentary on the assassination in Dallas. Also, found a few clips of Blair Brown the other day from her show " The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd" I had forgotten about that show from late 80's...

  • @irish89055 Not Jaclyn Smith, Blair Brown.

  • @Jantv81 thanks for the correction... the mini series Kennedy was filmed here in Richmond, VA . Great video tribute by Manny. Happy Presidents Day 2011....

  • Outstanding video!

  • Great job! I have the highest respect for Jack&Jackie I think they represent the best of America in their time.

  • Thank you for this lovely rememberance. The revisionists have had their version of the "truth" for 20 years now-those of us who were there know what it was really like.

  • not sure that is them at 1:30....

  • Manny, thank you, well done... magnifico

  • Excellent tribute.

  • Very moveing, how did it all go so wrong?

  • What a excellent title to a wonderful family and a great President..."A Tribute to Life in Camelot - The Kennedy Years"

  • One Eight Seven Elder

  • It is so amazing how much people still think of the Kennedys. I am deeply touched by the love and respect shown here. Shame on those who took the lives of so many innocents involved in this thing--the President, Oswald, and other witnesses who tried to speak the truth. We still live under tyranny. What would the world have been like if he hadn't been assassinated?

  • President John F. Kennedy and First Lady Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy will always be remembered as the most loved couple to have occupied the White House - TOLEDO

  • John & his wife Jackie were the most handsome couple and most admire I seem alot of Presidents and wives but none like Jackie..........There will never be another John and Jackie in the white house the most admire couple and loved by so many cause they have touched my heart even do i never met them but in my heart I do love them very much I was only 10 yrs old when President was killed I watched tv all that day..Betty

  • beautiful couple... thats why she married and married again. I have pity that her corps remain at president John´s side. She marries times and times, why joining her to her first husband?

  • Because she has that right ..don't forget she was sitting beside him and had to live with that moment her entire life. God blessed her to find others who could comfort her.

  • Betty, I was perhaps 6 years older than you and I agree with what you said. Plus you said it so great!!

  • Great tribute, it's a real shame both of there lives were so short.

  • Great tribute, the music couldn't be more perfect!

  • This is a beautiful tribute, thank you so much for this footage, that music is just perfect. thank you

  • Nicely done... a reminder of our loss of innocence

  • Wonderful video! What memories of those days! Thanks so much.

  • This was wonderful. You did a great job on this!!!!

  • Well Done!!!

  • Very nice job! The music fits very well.

  • very nice!! more ppl should c this...

  • OMG!!! so beautiful! I swear I had tears in my eyes.
