I called the police on my neighbors barking dog. 6 am every morning. He tried to blame it on the next door neigbors. He also claimed he didn't have a dog.....until his son opened the garage door and there he was. Black lab. Needless to say he doesn't bark anymore because the police gave him a warning.

I kive in Riverside and complained once and it solved the problem pretty quickly. Now another neighbor has a doberman that barks like it's trying to kill someone. I talked my neighbor once about it and he apologized, but the barking has resumed at all hours. My window is 10' from the dog and even in the front of the house with the TV I can hear it, freaking stupid!!!

Also, this dog gets all the other dogs barking too which just makes even more noise. I have thought about sending a letter to them many times but I know that it will just be a waste of time, because I know they won't do a thing about it. Since I've been at the dorm I have seen several people actually move because they just can't stand the noise. If I had the opportunity to do the same, I would definitely move too.

Thumbs up to you for getting something done about it. There's nothing worse than a barking dog when you're trying to sleep. I live at a college dorm during the week, and there is a Vet Tech building next to the dorm. The students have to walk the dogs in the morning from about 6AM-8AM. There is a coonhound that does nothing but bark and howl the whole entire time it is outside. It is so frustrating, and they never do anything about it. They keep walking the damn thing like nothing is going on.

The only thing that stops it is a letter from a lawyer threatening to sue for stress damages, asnd the loss of YOUR ability to enjoy your own property in privacy, Many dog owners become insensitive zombies who use the dog's psychotic aggression as a proxy for their own. Also, what did the other neighbors say about the dog barking? There is a house right next to the barking dog. Are they just scared to say anything? That's the way it is where I live...the people who live on the other side of the barking dogs won't say anything.

God, I have this problem too. There is one dog that keeps yapping at everything in an annoying high pitch. It hates everyone but its owners. Sometimes it makes other annoying dogs yap in the street. There is another dog which always howls.

I have 3 different neighbours with 5 dogs between them, and they all bark all day and sometimes on and off during the night. Their gardens back onto mine. It doesn't matter if the owners are there or not. If I complain, they say they have to listen to it too!!!
