The reason why Yu-gi-oh didnt do this is becuase this game was bassicly the starting model test to see it, so really they own the rights to it becuase konami probably didnt think about it or didnt buy it.

there are no ties since there is only 9 squares, some one has to take over all five squares to win, the person with 4 squares loses
