Well from what i understand the materials are accounted for. It's the machines,mold, and technique that are the same. Sometimes it's the same person whos contracted with the name brands themselves.
There not made that same way or even in the same country. Louis Vuitton products are made in France and Paris, along with some other countries. Every Louis Vuitton product is also hand-made by people that take this art very seriously. And work very hard on perfection. Now I do admit that some other designers are made in China with the same crappy things we buy each day. Coach would be an example of one of those designers.
A lot of the stuff is made at the same damn factory during what they call (the MIDNIGHT SHIFT). The manager will typically leave the shop running with different employees, and different materials. Using those same machines they make about 3 loads a night, then replace the real materials before the next day. Or they will rent out the factory to other people who cut the managers in on the profit. Who are also contracted by the real company. I dont mind fakes to be honest. Levels the social field.

Ya. Except LV bags are made exclusively in France. Anything else is fake. Its how Louis Vuitton is combating brand erosion from fakes. Each bag takes six craftsmen to produce. It definitely costs more than $1 to make a bag. Until recent changes were made to their production line it literally took days to produce a bag, with over 6 craftsmen. The company has streamlined their operations using techniques borrowed from Toyota Motors.

Actually, many luxury designer brands have now moved their factories to China...90% of the bag is made in China...by workers who have no idea that the bag will sell for more then they will ever make in 10 life times...
then..it's goes to France or wherever to get the hardware added...which them gives them reason to stamp "Made In France" on it...
then vala! You pay $2000 USD for the bag!

Well not only that but another benefit for them in splitting up the manufacture is a manufacturer in china then can't make overruns and sell the excess because they don't have all the materials in one spot to complete the bags.

This is how Red China has made much of it's wealth, by stealing other's ideas and creating counterfeits of any type. No nation in the world is more dishonest in this way than is China. They have no interest in stopping it because it keeps their people in work and makes the communist party more powerful.

i agree with the first comment 100%. i personally know of authorized factories that create knockoffs during the nightshift then sell them to blackmarket runners. of course the designer want you to think your buying crap so they can protect their brand.

Thank you! People don't realize that when a company outsources their work to the Chinese...brand names don't matter to the people who make them. There is profit in both ways. There's no way to "get those guys" because odds are the same machines that made your "real bag or purse" also made the fakes those people detest so much. They make a profit selling the real ones to you all you guys, and then turn around and sell them to people who want to pay less as well.

Well from what i understand the materials are accounted for. It's the machines,mold, and technique that are the same. Sometimes it's the same person whos contracted with the name brands themselves.

There not made that same way or even in the same country. Louis Vuitton products are made in France and Paris, along with some other countries. Every Louis Vuitton product is also hand-made by people that take this art very seriously. And work very hard on perfection. Now I do admit that some other designers are made in China with the same crappy things we buy each day. Coach would be an example of one of those designers.

A lot of the stuff is made at the same damn factory during what they call (the MIDNIGHT SHIFT). The manager will typically leave the shop running with different employees, and different materials. Using those same machines they make about 3 loads a night, then replace the real materials before the next day. Or they will rent out the factory to other people who cut the managers in on the profit. Who are also contracted by the real company. I dont mind fakes to be honest. Levels the social field.

I don't agree with fake handbags, but you people do know that even the big corporations, not the counterfeit ones use child labor too? So I hardly say that many people care? Nike, coach, all the big brands use cheap labor, and now that the upper classes have their handbag high end staus drop, they all of a sudden care for child labor? Yeah, I'm sure...
