We live in 2009 and many Muslims are waking up to the fact that freedom and human rights are incompatible with Islam because like all holy books, the quran was written by primitive thinkers whose values were different, The day you pray for may come but it will be a sad day when we go back to religious people making policy. When you can show me a theocracy that is progressive in the Islamic world, I will accept Traditional Islam has something to contribute. Your God is Great, so let him do it!

Muslims do not believe in the principal of universality (Equality under law for everyone). That is the simple fact. The demographics of muslims in Europe is tilting because of their birth rate and their habit of marrying out of the country and bringing back a spouse. So, the irony of an undemocratic presence within Europe (we were never asked if we wanted them here) will lead to the destruction of equality under law and democracy for the original populations of Europe.

I've seen videos from muslim TV of the hanging of teenagers because they were not muslim enough.I especially hate the way females are treated my muslims. But he is right.. If you read the quran you actually find it more peaceful than the bible.. The violence you see in some arab countries is due to the violent culture they had even before islam.. There are other muslim countries in the world without any of the problems you just mentioned.. You know we are talking about more than 1 billion people, here.. I have read the quran - I have several different translations. You are wrong about more violence in the Bible. Here is the difference: The Bible is a history that contains violence while the quaran commands the killing of kafirs that refuse to convert, refuse to pay jizya, and refuse the status of dhimmi. The quran denies that Jesus is God, which the Bible says that is how we can know the anti-Christ. It doesn't make any difference how many believe in a lie it is still a lie.

By blaming the culture of muslim countries for the violence they show to infidels and to women because the culture existed prior to islam is admitting that islam does not have the ability to teach arabs how to treat others kindly. I have read the bible. Christians and Jews have gone past their historical past - islam hasn't. It is interesting that muslims have to point to the historical violence of others in order to justify their current violence. I think you are judging them by yourself. Just because you are willing to be accomodating to them doesn't mean it will be returned. I used to think like you do until I studied the problem a little deeper. In early life mahommod taught peace and understanding and that period is called the Mecca period. The intolerant phase of his life came after he was driven out of Mecca and took refuge in Medina. His teachings changed and the muslim principle of abrogation came into existence.
