People may criticize Dessie for his singing but he was the through master and founder of this song in bringing it to the fore. As soon as he was first herd singing it, it was pulled and snatched from under his mist and recorded by other singers!!!! I dont care who sings it but they will never have the life and spark added to it that the great Sharon Shannon gives it!!!! "More power to your Elbow" Dessie & Sharron!!!!! It's a weird one, it has something. Kinda reminds me of The Fall, in the sence the band is really good and the singer is trying to be, can't be, anything but himself. And judging by the people in the audience they respond to it.
