I submit that Mr Harris is just as religious as those who flew planes into the trade buildings on September 11th. He just follows a different religion. Aside from that, it is totally illegitimate to bash religion in general because one of the religions of the world does things he doesn't like. How does reflection on Sept. 11th lead us to conclude that all belief systems that seeks to answer the major questions of life are, what, wrong? Wrong in what way? He doesn't make a good case at all.

@AOPrinciple they are wrong, if simply for the reason that they don't change when new evidence floods in. The stance of religion on the meaning of life, morals and all the other philosophical questions is the same as it was 200 years ago.
From a military point of view, the "Global War on Terrorism" is now an official misnomer and was banned by the bushie jr administration. However, that did not make terrorism go away to any degree. The doctrines of Islam are uniquely dangerous to civilization today, and qualify as an imminent threat. Religion is now an impediment to the enlightened progress of society and is responsible for more human misery than it ameliorates and should be made obsolete, the sooner the better for us all. AMEN!
