This video makes me feel ill as well. This 'anything for a buck' mentality is what Murcer fought against as a BAT representative and spokesman. Murcer was/is my hero. I choose to remember him stepping to the plate with tears in his eyes and lacing a homer to right for his buddy Thurman.

I met him at the book signing. It was an excellent experience. It sucks that Murcer has now passed away. R.I.P. Bobby Murcer (1946-2008). The world has lost a great player, a great announcer, and a great man.

Bobby Murcer was pure class. The kind of athlete that kids should look up to. Murcer has a special place as part of the Yankees - he played for the Yankees and broadcasted for the Yankees. More notably, he loved being a Yankee. RIP Bobby.
