I remember all that waiting for programs to load from or to cassette on my TI-99/4A. Then we got a single sided single density 5.25" floppy drive and it was amazing how fast it was.

Please note: Only Myarc's controller has the call: CALL DIR(DRIVE NUMBER) which does a quickie catalog under basic or x-basic...
I don't know if Corcomp has this or not...
