  • feals like someone is high and holding a cam xD

  • link to buy?

  • 2:03 ?

  • Howdy phihvafar; 3 parts to your answer due to character limits: I have not used another one of their products but I might go one step up in their line if I had to do it over again. What is nice about this system is its fairly compact for an indicator arm/vest compared to the next jump up which means allot on stage with performers...I tagged a lead singer in the back with the arm once fortunately not hard but a bigger rig would be even more invasive in that regard...

  • Part 2&3

This arms spring is definitely near maxed out with my camera and I can see where you would want the weight distributed to your back more instead of your chest and abdomen as this one dose. Other then that yes I sill very much like it and could not see using this camera on anything less robust. Its nice to get out of it and shoulder shoot but for fluid moves just the 5000 alone would kill you after 5 min of shooting. This system lets me concentrate on the shoot not my aching arms.

  • after almost 18months could u still recommend that product with vest and arm?

or is it the money worth?

if you had the choice again for using a steadycam for ur xl1, what system would u buy?

    blessings,

    dan

  • It is looking good. you might need to drop some weight, that will help. Then practice. I have the 5000 and it works awesome.

  • Hi, did you sort the balance out yet? is it worth it? I'm about to order the flycam 3000 for my DSLRs, should I? or I'll be better of with the Nano (light one)

  • I don't know what camera you have but you should not need much weight for that. and the 3000 might be an overkill. It will depend on you lens and total bulk of your system. Bulk plays a roll as well not just total weight...It maters where that weight sits in relationship to the Handel fulcrum point. I have gotten better with practice..So I did not add any more weight as it is a heavy set up as it is. So to answer you question the swing is still there I have just learned to control it better.

  • I used to think, that cute girls live in Argentina, Brasil, Colombia... etc... But I'm very confused... =) (I need her Facebook)

  • Please tell your daughter i love her!

  • Try less weight on the bottom of the sled. Should be able to swing from the gimble 2 - 3 x before it comes to rest for balance, with this less pendulum effect when you change direction. Try also lengthening the post for heavy (cameras) payloads on the top of the Flycam 5000. Light weight cameras shorter post and less weight on the bottom of the sled.

  • @IanRietschel

    I'll give that a go...Thanks

  • i like it, it's a good attempt. i don't use XL camcorders anymore because HD is in now and they are much lighter. i think you may want to put more weight and lower it because the XL's are heavy.

  • Yes you could be right...wow more weight is hard to consider though...Check out my Christmas Program video...less pendulum but more camera shake...the 3x lens does not have IS as does the 16x lens in this video..I would love to be able to re shoot it with the 16x and compare quality...Thanks for your kind words though.
