The funny thing about all this is sports fans all have their own opinion and preference as to what sport they prefer. There is no "Best sport" or "better sport". Personally I prefer individual sport. Team sports are for those who cannot (or will not) excel on an individual basis, although I do like watching women's beach volleyball, and lingerie football. Let Victoria's Secret dress these girlie soccer players, then maybe I will watch, until then it is boring crap to me, just slow ping pong.

She was and still is the most overated player in history....Ill even go as far as to say she sucked....all that notoriety for a penalty kick!!! give me a break...or was becasuse she took her shirt off...foudy or hamm would never have done that simply because they didnt have to ...they were great, chastain was not even good...

@MagdaRose85 ....You are either a little bit slow or too young to remember the game...It WAS a penalty kick...to be exact it was the fifth kick in the penalty shootout...so get you facts correct before running that stupid mouth of yours...also I am not a soccer player so I did not play in any world cups....the reason she made it the world cup was because of the players around her...she sucks ass! she is not even good, and she is fucking ugly to boot!

@bobbya16; What do you mean Chastain sucked, she was actually really good. 192 career international caps, 30 goals and 26 assists. all as a defender. Those are pretty good stats to me. And dont throw that taking off her shirt crap, it was just a celebration that almost every male soccer player does, it was just a moment of of pure exuberance, don't discredit what she accomplished just because some people only focus/give her credit on that celebration, thats not her fault,

@DCsportsfan08 ...The U.S. womens soccoer team and players have been over hyped for years by the press...all of the us women players, with the exception of Hamm and Foudy are average at best....Chastain was not even good...it was evident in the pro womens league...she sucked ass...Hamm and Foudy were the best players ever for the U.S. the only one that comes close is maybe Wambach...but dont come across with this shit that chastain did anything to help with that cup.....she blows

what i was trying to say is that even though the Women's team has won the women's world cup and the men haven't won the real world cup, the men's team has still achieved way more than the women's team in terms of helping soccer in america. im guessing people would rather identify with Tim Howard or Clint Dempsey instead of Mia Hamm or something. Besides, women's sports are unwatchable to say the least.

@advancedmoose look, Mia hamm CAN play on the mens team.. or could've when she played, PELE said it himself.. he said he's GLAD he never had to face her.. also Marta wasn't allowed to even TRY for the mens team. My coach who's a MALE said that was wrong of them because she has everything they've got except a bit less speed. So yes, there ARE women, those were just 2 of many.

Men are naturally faster, and have more power. plus, I haven't heard anything or seen any games where the women have played men.. prove it. also judging from what I've seen, solo could block Donovan, Dempsey, any ones shot. she's a girl. You know that the women team get's owned 5-1 by an obscure u16 team than how could any individual from wnt compete with the mnt when mnt is tiers above the u16 Cal.
