Two of the greatest bully dancers ever came to this world next to each other!
See how they are being competitive in a very nice way, smiling to each other and all. Gosh man..people from that time back then were the best :-) Unlike now everyone thinks they are the better than the other one while both probably suck.
@tennisstarvenus yes they did create something first they improved the bellydancing n made new styles like bellydance with flamenco or ballet as well new moves.
one great performance of 2 of the best belly/actress dancers in egypt of all time .they show such class in the way they dance together mind you at this time both were very known stars
@xNymphetamynexGurlx SubhanAllah, I had forgotten I had ever said this :)))))))))))))))))))))))))))) thanks hun gosh to think this was THREE years ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hamdullah hopefully egypt will change for the better :)
Isn't that because the origonal form of belly dancing only used the waist down and from there up was stationary? Then in later years as belly dancing spread the chest was used more?
Yeah, that is true, the chest was shimmied, or used less often, if at all. But now it seems that most dancers use their butts, legs, and hips to make the movements, not so much as the core, lower abs, and actual muscles. Again I think the original form look better. With anything saidi beat, there I can appreciate more movements using other parts. Dont know just my opinion.
She was so classy and beautiful.

absolutely wonderful and breathtaking.. maybe in a freer era, with more openminded and liberal egypt, such great art will blossom again. InshaAllah.

I think it is because they danced from the core of thier lower bodies. Not lifting up through thier chest ballet style.
finsterthecat 4 years ago 4
That is true...It looks better to me, and graceful in its own way, no ballet needed to be graceful.
gemini1904 4 years ago 3
does any one else notice that back then, their hips were working more from the lower abdomen, and more forward?
gemini1904 4 years ago 3
I've never seen this clip before. What movie is it from? It's very charming - I really enjoy both dancers very much!
