Open office? are you joking. That is way too hard to use if your just jumping right into a word processing program. I would prefer office 2010 over anything so far. Its easy to use the ribbon makes everything clear in what your actually doing like in powerpoint, the transitions and animations. Just my opinion
I agree with you on that I would rather use any of those other programs that you mentioned in the end but I do think the Presentations in Open Office is slacking in terms of transitions. :)
From what I have seen so far it really is not much different then 2007 other that it will be available online in the future. 2007 is a real pain to learn because everyone has used 2003 for so long. But after using 2007 regularly I have come to find it much easier to use.
great review......According to me, MS office apps are the best of their kind. But I still prefer open office....partly because am used to its UI and largely because it is free ;)
why office 2010 is BETTER than 2007?? Windows 7 taskbar integration, automatic SkyDrive document synchronization, native PDF creation, advanced video editing in PowerPoint, Office Live Apps... should i continue?
That's actually not bad, because it's an open format, i.e. better support in OpenOffice than .doc, making it easier to toss this bloody thing where it belong.
Yeah, but you take your .docx file to your friends house or college or work and find they are using office 2003 and then you spend ages just trying to get a pack to get the bloody thing to show arrrrrrgh! get what i mean? it shouldnt be a hassle.
I'm a Linux user myself so maybe it has been done already (I just don't know), but adding a compatibility pack for older versions of Office via a Windows Update would sound like the way to go.
I usually save them in .doc, .odt or .pdf myself, depending on the situation.

Would you be able to update what you use to record your videos? They look a lot better than usual lately.
Thanks

actually everything you mentioned about it, is included in office 2007, so everything is the same, except the interface has been slightly changed.

i don't like the design of 2010.
I like the 2007 version better. I'm gonna stick with MS Office 2007.

It's funny, after using Office 2007, OpenOffice just seems clunky and outdated to me.

this is basically windows 7 to vista, a bit faster, smoother and the beta could probably be sent out as a final product
Jr4594 2 years ago
i think the ribbon thing is sort of meant to suit windows 7 anyway

Microsoft office...fucked up since 2007
reixo 2 years ago
looks interesting, but 2003 was the best, toolbars are the best, although the pdf creation is cool.
you have to find everything all over again in 2007 and 2010. They are doing this just like the older tv shows, but thats another topic.
i'm not really into the newer office that much, i am using 2007, just for creation of pdf's, but i would rather stick with 2003
