I respect and enjoy both Keane and Coldplay songs but if I had to choose between them it would be Coldplay for sure due to their galaxical and universal connections through the globe and with celebrities in the world we're in. @Quatonomy I totally know what you mean. I think... Coldplay tries to tell a story with their music more than Keane, and Keane's lyrics hit home a little bit more than Coldplay's music. Keane just writes straight from the heart, and that's why it's more meaningful. It feels like it comes more from raw emotion and experiences rather than trying to illustrate some epic tale.

All very good in their own ways.

All from the school of Blur, Oasis & Stone Roses with sprinkings of other main influences.

Well with the exception of a few like Interpol most American productions don't cut it

there.

Coldplay isn't the band that has any ground-breaking sound. They were part of the wave. They are popular & so people know them.

When I listen to Coldplay the emotion and music is there for sure, but lyrics wise it's like they struggle to find words that rhyme or maybe their lyrics don't tell a story as well as they should.
