Jar Jar still baffles me. Why the hell would you put comic relief in a Star Wars movie, which is about 30% intentionally semi-funny stuff anyway? And why the hell would you make the comic relief so freakin' obnoxious that I would give anything for there to be a scene were he gets brutally beat to a pulp? I would have really liked Episode 1 if not for Jar Jar and midichlorians. As it is, it's the worst Star Wars movie for me.

Wow... I never noticed this before. I only looked back at Season 1 after the Season 2 opener of My Little Pony HEAVILY parodied the medal scene of Star Wars Ep IV. The Season 1 opener (out for year nearly already) has a musical number that sounds very much like this music. I haven't seen Episode I in ages, so I never noticed it.

CGI is computer graphic image. There is no CGI in the original. They are computer effects, but NOT CGI. CGI is things like what the battle driods were, or the genosians. Special effects and CGI are 2 different things.

If you didn't care about Episode 1, then perhaps you shouldn't talk about how it should end differently, because it's clearly not what you're looking for, and you missed the point of the original movies, only getting hung up on the classic movies can't be outdone mentality.

The originals were only so great because they were clever with their special effects when filmmaking was still in it's early stages. As a prequel, it only needs to be canonically correct. Nothing else.
