  • It's specifically against the law to send encrypted (secure) signals over amateur radio. That's just part of the deal.

  • You can't send "secure" messages on ham radio. Ham radio is restricted from using the airwaves for business or commercial use. You must assume anyone can ease drop at any time.

    For health and safety this is fine!

    Commercial carriers are used for secure communication. Ham radio operators must pass a government approved test before any operation commences on the airwaves.

    It truly is a "party line" and OK that it is.

  • The one thing I don't see in any of these is how to send secure messages? It seems that if this is using a public repeater or accross the airwaves then the message can be intercepted. Can someone address this in a video on Youtube?
