  • Dam waste of a good spoon lol.

  • thank you mother fucker! you realy helped

  • What were your settings? Did you change the exposure, put it in "Night Mode", etc.?

  • The settings were normal and full automatic ;-)

  • Great vid! May I ask, what settings did you record this originally (before it was uploaded)? Specifically, I'm wondering if this was shot in 1080 or 720.

  • Thanks for asking. I have been recording in 1080 for a while but I think for Internet and DVD use 720 should work fine too.

  • I'm sold on it... the low light performance was my biggest question. Restaurants are generally pretty low light here in Canada, don't know about there in Japan.

  • restaurants are also pretty dark in here... In fact, this place was even darker than a usual restaurant, the main reason that I surely consider the HD1000 performance under low light above the average of the cameras that I used to own. In my humble opinion it is a great ultra-portable high definition camera (with very functional and ergonomic design)

  • I ordered one off e-bay. My computer might have trouble with 1080i, but 720p is fine, and as a bonus, it does 720P in 60fps too! that is 12mbps bitrate, but my 8gb card is only class 4 which is 9mbps so I'm good for 720p 30fps and lower. That's okay, 640X480 at 60fps is great for action too. especially for doing a slow motion sequence for youtube.

  • good review. good cam under low-light condition

  • Good low light test. Helped me on my purchase decision for the Xacti HD1000. This was an issues on previous models like my old Xacti C5.

  • ohhh yeah....great cam!!

  • How many hours of video are you getting on a 8GB card in full HD?

  • around 1 hour and 25 minutes if I recall correctly...

  • right on that's pretty good

  • yep! and a 4GB gives 40 to 45 minutes... :-) a decent recording time.

  • If I'm not mistaken that in the highest resoultion 1080i. On 720p you can get a lot more, but your PC might NOT be able to handle it.

  • Indeed. To handle 1080i you should be running a pretty powerful pc with a good videocard. Other issue was that Mac computers didnt have an update for full HD in their quicktime... Dunno if Apple already solved the issue but I am pretty satisfied shooting in 720.

  • nice picture!
