Nope you DEFINATELY don't require a blood test to test for EPO use. All the blood test does is tell the testers that the athlete has an unusual blood profile that warrants further investigation. The abnormal profile could be caused by the use of EPO, some other blood boosting drug, or just be explained by the athlete being a genetic freak or living at altitude. The testers then perform the urine EPO test to determine whether artificial EPO is the cause of the abnormality

I don't know why Floyd's fans can't get it - the test right after the fight is as good as the test right before the fight. It's not naturally possible for a scrawny kid to pack on 40 lbs of muscle and be immediately more powerful than allof his opponents who's been that weight his entire life. This has happened to all the greats:Sugar Ray Robinson;Sugar Ray Leonard;Thomas Hearns etc... Nope you DEFINATELY don't require a blood test to test for EPO use. All the blood test does is tell the testers that the athlete has an unusual blood profile that warrants further investigation. The abnormal profile could be caused by the use of EPO, some other blood boosting drug, or just be explained by the athlete being a genetic freak or living at altitude. The testers then perform the urine EPO test to determine whether artificial EPO is the cause of the abnormality

If I were Floyd, I'd hire a Public Relations firm to spread as much info about EPO's, and Manny's history including the Diaz fight. I'd try and put as much pressure on the manny camp to take the tests. Many Boxing insiders like Teddy Atlas & Nate Campbell have already expressed their beliefs about Manny's drug use. I don't know why Floyd's fans can't get it - the test right after the fight is as good as the test right before the fight. Here's another irony of floyd's excuses: Long before Manny Pacquiao fought in the US and long before Manny Pacquiao became "The Best Fighter of the decade", floyd knew the existence of PEDs, because of the Balco incidence. he was silent, he don't accuse those boxers using PEDs and worse, he has the money and resources to petition his own US government to change the (alleged) obsolete "urine only" test to blood testing, and abolish as well the entire commissions! but he didn't ! WHY ONLY NOW?

mropal100-and insist on random blood testing, If you succeed, all boxers including Manny, will be compelled to submit to that new test. Falsely accusing Manny continually, breeds hatred among fans. Therefore, if you fail to abolish all Sports Commission, and fail to change the test at your own likeness, the standard "urine only" test will prevail. Why does US Sports Commissions exist until today and does not use the random blood test? Why? because it does not believe anything you and floyd say!

mropal100- US created Sport Commission will not adopt a random blood testing, it chose the usual "urine only" testing. Meaning your own US Sports Commission who regulate and supervise boxing in the US, using the urine only testing is the standard test! NSAC will not use the blood testing more so nearest to fight night. After having said that, should you and floyd want a random blood testing, petition your own US government to abolish any Sports Commission you find incompetent. (to continue)

roy jr tested positive, mosley, james toney, hloyfield ect were positive test so why not make the sport even safe i mean i dont think pac is taking peds, but when he said ill agree to take blood and urine test but not random that raises eyebrows when him and his team put the demand out there

@champions97-floyd again appeared demanded a 60-40 split, he knew Manny will reject the new demand, so no fight happened. Bob instead negotiated with Margarito.
On another issue, (Long before Manny fought in the US) you said: "Roy Jr. "tested" positive, mosley, james toney, holyfield, etc. were tested positive", your use of the word "tested" implies that the US created Sports Commission were doing their job with "unquestionable competence". hence the boxing playing field was fair and safe.

people for get that manny has took a blood and urine test before in the first erik morrales fight and he claimed thats why he lost the fight, but people also forget that mayweather asked mosley to take the test and he did and mayweather took it as well now i could see if mayweather asked pacman to take the test and he dont but they both are taking it so i really dont know what the problem is i think it's good boxing should go to random blood and urines test for now

The recent debate held by NSAC a US created Sports Commission, over the issue of drug testing in boxing, "concluded, that random blood testing isn't as effective or essential as some would like us to believe" The NSAC doctors mentioned risk of infections, development of hematoma, and possibilities of nicking a vein. Thereafter, the panel found in favor of "urine only" testing and decided that blood testing was potentially dangerous to boxers..."

Before they fought, they submitted themselves to random blood testing, that was 7 days cut off random blood testing. Now, why is your idol floyd demanding Manny to submit to a random blood testing UP TO FIGHT NIGHT? Why only Manny? Why only now.

A convincing evidence on the subject matter is the irrefutable "NEGATIVE" findings by NSAC who had tested Manny 21 times, and in every test NSAC finds Manny "CLEAN"! Why is NSAC existed until today? NSAC did not changed its "urine only" test, simply because NSAC does not believe whatever mayweathers were saying including Manny's critics, and journalist (?) having imaginary accusations against Manny! Manny is "clean", there is nothing to prove! There is nothing to find because Manny is "clean"!

Pacquiao guilty of using drugs? Misleading! NSAC is a US created Sports Commission that regulate and supervise boxing in the US, its "urine only" drug testing is a "standard" test, implemented long before Manny fought in the US. If in fact you have evidence on the existence of PEDs long time ago, why did you not petitioned your own US GOVERNMENT to abolish NSAC or any other commission by reason of "incompetent" or "testing procedures were obsolete", and change it at your own likeness?

@itsabird - I was referring to Manny's critics that if they don't believe on the performance of NSAC, since they and floyd wanted a random blood testing, they should petition their on US government to abolish NSAC. That is all there is to it to compel Manny to do random blood testing! Abolish NSAC to serve floyd's own purpose. Meantime since NSAC still exist floyd and Manny's critics should be contend of the "urine only" testing.

@432cestus80 anything regarding drug testing, weight, gloves, ring size, is all worked out between the two negotiating sides, as long as it doesn't run against what the NSAC does. that means getting stricter random blood testing on top of the urine testing the NSAC already does should be fair game just as it was fair game for pacquiao to request a 10 mil penalty for each lb over 147, and for pacquiao to request the puncher's gloves.

NSAC is a US created sports commission, it regulate and supervise boxing, its drug testing was standard, a urine only testing, they don't implement the blood testing because they find it dangerous to boxers. That statement was made public by NSAC during the public forum. That statement did not came from own mouth, it is NSAC's statement. All other negotiated deal are subject for approval by both parties.

@itsabird-my apology in asking you by what you mean of "bs". Common sense dictate, if you draw blood nearest to the fight night, as experienced by boxers, not only Manny, they experience weakness. But in my humble opinion, with no offense to you Sir, we both cannot even discuss this subject matter since the NSAC will not implement the blood testing. It has been decided. If you however doubt Manny you will not have a clear mind that in fact all this PEDs issue were concocted stories.
