I need help finding a U.S.B Transfer cable that will work with Ubuntu Linux I bought a Gigaware Transfer U.S.B cable but it only works with Windows and Mac not Ubuntu Linux or Linux Mint 11 That I'm using on my Desktop and Lap top.
Are there Brands of U.S.B transfer cables that work with Ubuntu Linux out of The Box.
This video is kind of losing sight of what happening with specific Linux Distributions that are becoming brand names in the Market. Two of these Linux Distributions in particular are Ubuntu owned by Canonical and Fedora which is owned by Red Hat. That are becoming an alternative choice in place of Microsoft's Windows. Thanks to Canonical's and Red Hat's Marketing know how. Which is something the folks in this video I have a hunch Lack. P.S I'm sure Apple could use this video to Mock Linux.
I'm a dumbass that happens to use Linux. If I can use it, anyone can. In fact, I've learned more using Linux for less than a year than I've learned in the other 15 years that I used Windows (...and the other 4 or so using DOS).
I will believe in linux as an alternative when I don't have to own my personal IT department just to make it work
Sure its a great OS , free, reliable, and stable but you need to take couple of courses to be able to use that thing, linux is not a choice for the masses ,
@mememe84 you don't need a personal IT department. Things like Ubuntu are easier to install then Windows -- no need for additional drivers, etc. In addition to that, installing new software is a few clicks away with a GUI package manager.
haha i love the part when the dude says IM LINUX AND IM GONNA KICK THE CRAP OUTTA YOU!!!!!
Linux kicks major OS ass.
My boss is having linux envy right now. He just bought a new laptop with Windows Ultimate installed and he's having shitloads of problems because it doesnt recognize the printers, scanners and at one point even the wireless LAN in our office. But my LINUX can.
rm -rf /media/sda1/windows | apt-get install dist-upgrade - I'm a Linux and it's great OS

Can't we use what we like. I personally hate linux and think windows is the best os, but obviously a lot of people out don't think so.
