I think the fairest thing to ask when concerning animals in captivity, is this: Were it the other way around, that is if whales were the top dogs on earth, would they keep us in captivity for entertainment? Id surely say yes, considering we are not the only species that keeps lesser species in captivity for one reason or another.

I think it is also relavent to point out that said whales probably would have died in the wild had they not been rescued and put to better use.
