i have watched over 80 episodes of dog wisperer. i have only ever seen may 2 pitts and 1 rottie. i have seen way more tiny dogs and those ugly things that are all rinkles. pitts and rotties are seriously not that bad. i would much rather trust a rottie or pitt than any other breed.

these dogs are not naturally aggressive. its how they are raised. these dogs are capable of playing with each other without killing each other. they are playing not fighting.

@kroxxy123 Only partially correct. A lot of breeding on the pit bull races (and some other races) has been directed specifically toward aggressive qualities. They'll have a higher inclination to turn aggressive than other races in some specific situations (like when strange dogs get too close to the owner too fast etc). But nature<nurture, no doubt.

PS: I heard the American Pit has a less obvious body language than most other dogs, so you have to watch a bit more carefully for the signs.

Exactly, they are mainly going for the legs and are very slow. And fighting dogs never show their sides to the other one, they always face each other.

The goal in such a play-fight is to make the other one fall down so it has to submit, then it starts again until one gets tired or angry - then a real fight might start.
