What a complete failure of logic. Apple released the iPhone with no flash because it was a dying technology and worsened the web browsing experience for customers by sapping battery life and crashing too much. Jobs explained this in 2010, but the decision was made before 2007. How was he wrong? You think because others knew flash was dying, that means Steve Jobs wasnt right? Pretty sure anybody that thought Flash was dying was right. And nobody was more outspoken in that belief than Jobs.

@punkposer my sgs2 has no problems running flash. I'm I'm pretty sure the galaxy nexus won't either, and I doubt it's too heavy for the sensation, and devices are just getting better. People can't blame jobs though, he didnt fuckind help, but neither is gates. Fuck em. I'll look forward to new developments. Feel sorry for those learning flash for the benefit of android, hope their time has'nt been wasted too much :p

Well Flash is still on devices and doesn't really need more updates anyway. HTML5 is gaining popularity and you should be able to make it by with current versions until HTML5 becomes standard.

The days of SkyFire on WinMo 5, 6, and 6.1 were great. First real flash enabler for the 200Mhz phones back in the day that were around before iPhones, Android's, WebOS, or WinPhone 7. Sucks they shut it down but its my cue to move to Android but when you've got a good working phone that does everything that I need except Flash, at least I'm a step better than an Apple product but I'll move on soon enough, probably with the next big Android move forward.

Android didn't loose flash player... it will still be available for download, there just won't be a flash player 12, anyways, it's still a win win situation for android, because html5 will run fine on android devices
