I dont get how hitting a cymbal makes it that flexible, when u cant make it bend that much your your full strength. How is hitting something quickly morep owerful then using your full force?

the momentum of the drumstick is large, because its speed is. The impact is also short and very focused - thus the pressure on a particular point on the cymbal is very high, for a split second. You gotta bear in mind that it looks like its rippling like a liquid there cos thats ultra slowed down, but at full speed those oscillations are happening very quickly.

@hollythepopstar Its because they shot footage of the underside of the Snare TO SHOW HOW THE SNARE WORKS as the man said. There was no slow mo cam set up to film the hit by lars . So they used that other footage .
