Sofi is now visiting Rotary clubs in our district to tell her story and raise funds for Children's Hospital, she uses this video to give a visual for her journey. @kbranen Yes, I was completely paralyzed as well. From one day to the other. Now, Im back to work and even though I do have some difficulities (specially with my knees) am so happy to be able to walk & smile again :) Best wishes to Sofi!

I am sorry to hear that you had to take a year off of college- but happy that you are on the road to recovery and returning to school. Each persons experience with GBS seems to be unique, with the illness & recovery. Sofi's recovery was relatively quick, considering the severity of her illness. Once she came home from the hospital, she refused to use a walker and walked independently (slow and w/ lots of breaks) almost immediately. I wish I had an easy answer for you, the best of luck to you.
i'm 18 yrs old and being attacked by GBS since last yr which made to stop my college for an yr... but still i cant walk without any support and my college is going to reopen within three weeks....i would be happy if u post any video on how to walk w/o any support

Great job! Fabulous job with your story. I am a GBS survivor too. It is truly amazing how God can use us for His glory once we've experienced such devastation. I had GBS 7years ago and am a Pediatric RN. Being a liaison for the foundation has been such a blessing as well.
