A masquerade is a party, dance, or other festive gathering of persons wearing masks and other disguises, and often elegant, historical, or fantastic costumes. So when you put it in the sentence, you're saying your body is a "party" or "dance".

Not everything has to be perfectly literal. ;) Anyone who listens to the lyrics by Alesana should notice that they aren't always literal in their lyrics. However, I can see why it would be hard to hear if it is "mystery" or "masquerade." I'm betting it's masquerade, seeing as that is the title of the song. But who knows, we'll just have to wait and see the official release of the lyrics!

And as this album is based on Dante's Inferno, I *think* this song is about Dante's experience in the 7th circle (fraud) in the inferno. Also, the name of this song is "A Gilded Masquerade", which most likely means group of people who, under their "masks", are not really how they seem (as gilded means deceptively pleasing).
