  • How about those shows! It came up as a suggestion...

  • Steve Perry and Eddie Money had the greatest voice's back in the 70's for white boys.

  • lol ok you have a daddy fetsih lol

  • Eddie Money: The Coolest Guy Ever

  • would love to be there in 77, i bet lots of women would love to " hold" onto Eddie back then

  • Absolutely the most perfect pop-rock song ever. Why? Because check out the chord changes where you feel love and rock at the same time. And the modulation over and over again throughout the song is pure honey. The Beatles wrote the book on this, but Eddie did a fine job on this song. Nothing like a Hammond B-3 pumping out those love chords. And the entire song is positive. It's a wrap!!

  • EDDIE WAS A COP NYC

  • I saw him in '09 and '10 and he was amazing! '09 was my first time seeing him and my first ever rock concert! I met him and he was so nice and each time I see him he gets better and better! I love Steve Perry as well and it was so cool how he introduced him like that, anytime I get to hear Steve sing even if just for a second its a good day lol.

  • Hubiera jurado que era un negro el que cantaba ésta canción....

I was sure he was a black man......

  • Eddie is such a cool performer

  • His face is going one way and his nose the other lol UGLY!!!!!

  • @varockcity1 LOL, you should see him now. Just add "fat."

  • @varockcity1 Steve Perry is not ugly and Eddie Money is not ugly either they are hot I don't get why you don't think so :3

  • I hear that Mr. Money was once a cop. If that was the case, is this a case of NYPD Rhythm and Blues? Sure sounds like it.

  • Steve Perry doesn't seem to have a sincere bone in his body. Eddie Money is so cool and talented and one of the best onstage performers ever... He has co-written many of his hits (I think).

  • OMG... Thanks for Sharing!!! I was born 1971, so all these songs are sooooo me. But there are some artists I didn't know what they looked like back then. And thanks to you all and "Midnight Special", we can continue to SHARE this EPIC Music. ~ LOVE IT.

He was goodlookin'... dang. ~ :)

  • Lol, man do I miss those days!

  • i have always loved Eddie Money

  • eddie was a cop!!! no shit!!!

  • Amazing!!! Just Classic! Thanks from Russia!

  • Did they base Macgruber's looks after Eddie Money?

  • I used to listen to this record when I was about 10. I thought he was sexy!

  • Steve Perry's showboating is a huge turnoff.

  • @Scoo

Totally! Love Perry but that was such a wanker move.

  • Fuck you Christina. Eddie Money can say whatever the hell he wants to say, he wrote this song 9 years before you were born.

  • @thematt5738

LOL! You tell it, man! I totally agree. Money can say whatever the hell he wants.

  • This is timeless

  • A superlative Sugarman offering

  • Gosh, why does he say 'now' after every damn line in a song? That's irritating. Dunno if I'm gonna enjoy this concert today :(

  • he looks like he's 16...wow, were we ever that young?

(his eyes are always that way)

really great song, really great memories~

  • great song

  • Just watching this makes me smile and makes me happy-I can't help it-it's just such a huge part of my childhood....No turning back-IT'S ALL GOOD! XOXO Love to you all :)

  • That was a great performance and he is FUCKED UP look at his eyes. That's not just marijuana lol

  • @fuitall maybe this is the marijuana speaking, but there is no way they would let dead spectators into a nationally syndicated TV show taping

  • @fuitall agreed, but i mite of had that backwards! dont feel like checkin it now, peace man !!!

  • great song

  • Eddie at his best .........before drugs basically took him out. He was a legend in my home town of Santa Cruz..........man I miss those days as I know he does as well.

  • didnt know he was a pig first! so fuck him now!!!

  • The audience of The Midnight Special always sucked. They were as lame as lame gets.

  • Did you know that Eddie Money was an NYPD cop for two years?

  • Wow, thats the most "dead" crowd I ever seen^^

You'd think this jam wouldve had a few of the ladies swayin' and a few cats up dancing in the isles!

  • LOL @ The Money Man! Dude was half in the bag, higher than fuck and still managed to , constantly, kick ass! He is one of the most unerrated singers EVER! he was, is, and always will be AWESOME!

  • @GialloHorror despite your retarded grammer, you aer 109$ corrrect.

  • @top20modernrock Retarded "grammer"? Yeah, I typed in slang, but I do know that grammar is spelled with two A's and no E's

  • @GialloHorror I spelt your're, and correct wrong as well, plus I incorrectly used the dollar sign instead of the percentage symbol. It's called sarcasm. I recommend that you get a sense of humor. All you need to do is to drink a couple of beers. Always works for me.

  • @top20modernrock I have a sense of humor, and believe me, I know all about having a couple of beers lol

  • @GialloHorror I dont disagree. eddie money was a great act. But I saw him perform at gulfstream horse track in south florida in 98 or 99. it was not a tight performance. he looked pale and a little bloated like he'd been clocking in 9 to 5 on a bar stool every day. the vocals didnt seem tight. he would not necessarily hold notes. seemed like the band had to play real tight to carry him throough. then he gets on the sax, and I dont think eddie can play a sax, can he???

  • @thevealchop68 I do think he can play sax, but I agree. Eddie MOney lived a fast life man. Tons of drugs, and alcohol has definitely taken it's effect. I've seen him numerous times, starting back in 1996, and he's progressively gotten worse. It's too bad, but this is the way I'll always remember him no matter what.

  • Loving this song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 1986 we followed eddie money's tour bus into a burger king in kalamazoo michigan .he got out and posed for pictures with us and everything. eddie is a former NYC cop and is like 6-4 he was shockingly tall and a very nice guy

  • @ganspernanthy Awesome story! I met Eddie at a small club, here in NY, about 10 years ago. One of the coolest, nicest, guys you'd ever wanna hang out with. I bought him a beer LOL! Meeting him was one of the best experiences of my life.

A lot of times you meet your idols and they let you down. Eddie Money was the total opposite. If you didn't know he was famous, you'd never know it by meeting him.

    Dude fucking ROCKS!

  • we followed eddie money's tour bs o a burger king in 1986..he got out and posed for pictures with us and everything. eddie ony is a former NYC cop and is like 6-4 he was shockingly tall and a pretty nice guy.

  • he shares a barber with David Cassidy!

  • @09jpick And Patty Duke!

  • ive never heard Steve Perry talk in an actual speaking voice before lol

  • i like it zero dislike...amazing song!

  • This is a great song.

  • Wow. This was 4 years before i was born. I was raised on music like this. I like a lot of today's stuff, but they just don't make 'em like this anymore. Eddie was a BABE! Grrrooowwrrr. (Steve ain't bad, either)

  • @GuitarChickSG1 -i known huh?he has that bad boy look about him

  • He was a Po-PO for NYC?? Cool!

  • growing up in the bay area i remember eddie money as being the ishhhhhhhhh, looking as his old videos is it me or does eddie have that david lee roth, / john belushi/ soul man on stage vibe/ mannerisms./facial expressions/ thing going on, rock on eddie rock on.................. eddie looks tall, i bet he could of slam dunk a basketball if he wanted to. lol

  • when did he O.D.?

  • Eddie has what singers of today don't have: The balls to actually sing a song and not Lip sync their lyrics!

  • Love Eddie and Jimmy Lyon on guitar

  • Steve Perry is such a tool

  • He was a New York city police officer. lol

  • eddie looks alot like EVH

  • It's funny, I remember parents telling me to turn that garbage off ... and now it plays on their radio stations, LOL.

  • he was here five years ago.. at a Recovery concert.. sounded awesome,,

  • That's a very lively crowd... what a buncha dorks!! get up!! ROCK ON!

  • @MrUnvmee I think half the crowd is dead by now, and the other half are in nursing homes. But hopefully they will get your memo.

  • Most excellent! Classic Eddie Money!

  • can' barely hear it ....?

  • Eddie is a one man show in his own right...

  • WOW this takes me way back...14 years old!!! Really groovy song.

  • what was great back then is that they REALLY could sing live and not be out of tune.

  • Most odd and approving to me, Ed once compared his acclaim to that of Metallica in terms of relation to the record promotors and radio coverage, however, he's a lot more AOR then Metallica but he showed awareness of them which shocked me!

  • @MetallicBill that is strange and shocking at the same time maybe he's a metallica fan i doubt it though lol

  • @miketheblueeagle I believe the comment featured in UK magazine Kerrang, in the 80s IIRC, an issue I have, at that time Metallica were not labeled as Sell Outs, and I think Money was suitably impressed by their success which had no TV or radio airplay on any large scale

  • @MetallicBill oh right i see well thats kl thanks for the info and shame eddie money got rid of jimmy lyon his best guitarist who was with him from 1977-1983 apparantly eddie said his guitar work wasn't distinctive but i would definetely disagree

  • @miketheblueeagle It should perhaps be more like Tom Petty and his right-hand-man on guitar! Now even he's a house hold name perhaps. I think Ed's most apparently a down to earth artist, that's what I discerned by his comments. What is he up to lately though?! haha

  • @MetallicBill Probably was heroin that day.

  • the audience is freezed

  • Love this song - thanks for sharing it!

  • Eddie Money arrested me back in the 70's for disturbing the peace, and for that, I refuse to enjoy this video.

  • @7billion2 hahahah no way?? really??

  • Holy fuck! ...and intro by S. Perry! What is paradise other than this? Seriously. Kick my ass! Rich!

  • my wife and I went to jail together!!!!! The Chink copper played this song the whole way!!!!

  • KICKS ASS, I KNOW.. YOU GO EDDIE, MONEY THAT IS ..HEE HEE. . MR. EDDIE MONEY. ANY REQUEST KIDS. BOBBY P. YOUR ..D.J. HEE HEE,,ENJOY

  • cool!!!!!!!!

  • eddie can hold onto me

  • His fashion sense is totally sexy!!! I love the scarf around his neck! :)

  • Eddie used to be cop before he became a rock star. I think it was in L.A.

  • Sucks the crowd had to stay seated... I would've lost my mind.

  • whatever will be will be...baby just hold on to me...

  • What's with the dickhead crowd? The way the whole song was put together was genius. Why aren't those faggots standing and cheering?!

  • Great Classic Rock song.

Clever song mixing Soul AND Westcoast.

  • I have personally known Eddie for more than 30 years now wonder how Margo and his Baby are doing these days?

  • Im not saying the audience has to be storming the stage in excitement, but can they clap or something?

  • @Tickbryan Lucky man ;)

  • I can't believe those people in the audience were not up out of their seats. Steve Perry and Eddie Money, it would have been too much for my senses to contain the energy.

  • I love Steve Perry and Eddie Money.

  • I can't stand Steve Perry.
