Absolutely the most perfect pop-rock song ever. Why? Because check out the chord changes where you feel love and rock at the same time. And the modulation over and over again throughout the song is pure honey. The Beatles wrote the book on this, but Eddie did a fine job on this song. Nothing like a Hammond B-3 pumping out those love chords. And the entire song is positive. It's a wrap!!
I saw him in '09 and '10 and he was amazing! '09 was my first time seeing him and my first ever rock concert! I met him and he was so nice and each time I see him he gets better and better! I love Steve Perry as well and it was so cool how he introduced him like that, anytime I get to hear Steve sing even if just for a second its a good day lol.
Steve Perry doesn't seem to have a sincere bone in his body. Eddie Money is so cool and talented and one of the best onstage performers ever... He has co-written many of his hits (I think).
OMG... Thanks for Sharing!!! I was born 1971, so all these songs are sooooo me. But there are some artists I didn't know what they looked like back then. And thanks to you all and "Midnight Special", we can continue to SHARE this EPIC Music. ~ LOVE IT.

Just watching this makes me smile and makes me happy-I can't help it-it's just such a huge part of my childhood....No turning back-IT'S ALL GOOD! XOXO Love to you all :)
Eddie at his best .........before drugs basically took him out. He was a legend in my home town of Santa Cruz..........man I miss those days as I know he does as well.
LOL @ The Money Man! Dude was half in the bag, higher than fuck and still managed to , constantly, kick ass! He is one of the most unerrated singers EVER! he was, is, and always will be AWESOME!
@GialloHorror I spelt your're, and correct wrong as well, plus I incorrectly used the dollar sign instead of the percentage symbol. It's called sarcasm. I recommend that you get a sense of humor. All you need to do is to drink a couple of beers. Always works for me.
@GialloHorror I dont disagree. eddie money was a great act. But I saw him perform at gulfstream horse track in south florida in 98 or 99. it was not a tight performance. he looked pale and a little bloated like he'd been clocking in 9 to 5 on a bar stool every day. the vocals didnt seem tight. he would not necessarily hold notes. seemed like the band had to play real tight to carry him throough. then he gets on the sax, and I dont think eddie can play a sax, can he???
@thevealchop68 I do think he can play sax, but I agree. Eddie MOney lived a fast life man. Tons of drugs, and alcohol has definitely taken it's effect. I've seen him numerous times, starting back in 1996, and he's progressively gotten worse. It's too bad, but this is the way I'll always remember him no matter what.
1986 we followed eddie money's tour bus into a burger king in kalamazoo michigan .he got out and posed for pictures with us and everything. eddie is a former NYC cop and is like 6-4 he was shockingly tall and a very nice guy
@ganspernanthy Awesome story! I met Eddie at a small club, here in NY, about 10 years ago. One of the coolest, nicest, guys you'd ever wanna hang out with. I bought him a beer LOL! Meeting him was one of the best experiences of my life.
A lot of times you meet your idols and they let you down. Eddie Money was the total opposite. If you didn't know he was famous, you'd never know it by meeting him.

growing up in the bay area i remember eddie money as being the ishhhhhhhhh, looking as his old videos is it me or does eddie have that david lee roth, / john belushi/ soul man on stage vibe/ mannerisms./facial expressions/ thing going on, rock on eddie rock on.................. eddie looks tall, i bet he could of slam dunk a basketball if he wanted to. lol
Most odd and approving to me, Ed once compared his acclaim to that of Metallica in terms of relation to the record promotors and radio coverage, however, he's a lot more AOR then Metallica but he showed awareness of them which shocked me!
@miketheblueeagle I believe the comment featured in UK magazine Kerrang, in the 80s IIRC, an issue I have, at that time Metallica were not labeled as Sell Outs, and I think Money was suitably impressed by their success which had no TV or radio airplay on any large scale
@MetallicBill oh right i see well thats kl thanks for the info and shame eddie money got rid of jimmy lyon his best guitarist who was with him from 1977-1983 apparantly eddie said his guitar work wasn't distinctive but i would definetely disagree
@miketheblueeagle It should perhaps be more like Tom Petty and his right-hand-man on guitar! Now even he's a house hold name perhaps. I think Ed's most apparently a down to earth artist, that's what I discerned by his comments. What is he up to lately though?! haha
I am going to take you to the top::::; U no the future is looking brighter:::; Just think of what we got:::; Just think about my loving::: I am going to give u all i got::: (MONEY CAN"T BUY U LOVE) Hold on to me tight:::::; Never going to let u go:::; Baby hold on to me:::; What ever will be ,will be:::::::; Never going to leave u:::::; (Please ) believe me now::::::; (HOLD ON )Awesome ,Smile & Peace
I can't believe those people in the audience were not up out of their seats. Steve Perry and Eddie Money, it would have been too much for my senses to contain the energy.
How about those shows! It came up as a suggestion...
