Are you people serious?? OMG Klingon is from some TV series, its NOT, I repeat NOT a real language, it is so incredibly offensive to my ears when I hear people speak Klingon, why don't you try learning an ACTUAL language not some made up crap thats from a TV series.
Fear not normal people Klingon won't be around very long coz there is NO WAY these people will get laid, let alone reproduce.
@MyPerfectFate It is a real language, in fact more people speak Klingon than in Welsh but I agree that there's something kind of screwed up about that. And I also do agree, if you are going to take the time to learn a second language or third or fourth, why not a language that's actually relevant to THIS reality.
But its a real language. I had to watch this in my linguistic anthro class and the guy who taught his kid, his kid was so smart because he stopped on his own to not hurt his education.
@MyPerfectFate The only of speakers I actually felt had a reason was one of the guys had a speech impediment, he spoke sort of like a child but you could tell he was a very intelligent person. But because of the speech impediment he was teased badly and doing horrible in school because he couldnt say things correctly and his teachers didn't seem to get that, but when he speaks Klingon, you can't hear the impediment so it makes him feel more normal, more accepted like he can do this. Him, I liked
hehhe welcome to the bilingual world, i myself speak 4 languages and am now learning a fifth.. i think everyone hsold speak more than one language, its good for your development/brain and way of thinking, it makes you smarter because you actively use your brain more than normal.
Well, I suppose I'll have to see this movie, considering I've been studying Klingon for a while now. Still, I don't understand how you could possibly speak it 24/7, considering how incomplete the language is in terms of its vocabulary.
Oh no! Klingons are uniting with Lamps to kill us all!!
I've got The Klingon Dictionary and Klingon for the Galactic Traveller, but am moving through very slowly.
I'm a failed Klingon anyway, I love Tribbles!
