I love me some Doctor Who!!! Especially the 4th Doctor!!! I first got into Doctor Who after watching the Paul McGann movie & borrowed everything I could about it from the local library and pretty soon, Tom Baker became my favorite!!! It still is!!! I even dressed up as the 4th Doctor at Dragon*Con & met Peter Davidson there!!!

He is a nice bloke. My mate Alan was at a convention a good few years back and had gone into town for lunch when he thought he recognised the man walking in front. He said to his mate'That guy in front looks like Tom Baker' at which the man turned around and said 'because I am Tom Baker'. He signed stuff and chatted.

Tom's Doctor was the on I grew up on. Didn't really watch any of the subsequent doctors until the Paul McGann TV movie came on. I think Paul did fine with the material he was given. Must say that the new series is what renewed my interest in Doctor Who. Both Chris Eccleston and David Tennant had very good runs as the Doctor (noticed alot of Tom Baker style personality quirks) On the fence about Matt Smith, but we'll need more than one episode to see whathe can do.

@xadam2dudex Yes, Tom Baker is very much alive, and will be playing the Doctor again in a new audio series at some point. (The only Doctors that have passed away are William Hartnell, Patrick Troughton and Jon Pertwee. Richard Hurndall from "The Five Doctors" is dead as well.)
