I imagine that with Bolvar as the new LK and nearly all (about 99%) of the Scourge's total command structure wiped out, the undead officially have ceased to be a threat.
I mean, a number have gone over to the Twilight Clan or to the Forsaken - so as an organization, the Scourge is now defunct.
After playing warcraft 3 the frozen throne, and seeing (actually controlling) Arthas actions and adventures to become the Lich King, this death scene makes no sense at all to me.

The speech Father/Son should be much longer than that. Arthas a complex carachter built since old warcraft games is reduced to 10 seconds speech at his death......This is lame.

This is ruined by the unbelievably bad voice acting from Arthas. They should have got the original Warcraft III actor back, or at least directed this guy to speak like Arthas did.
But Blizzard wouldn't do that. They've proven time and time again that they don't care about voice acting at all.

While Bolvar is the Lich King he's reducing the Scourge's number over time instead of creating more so even if he loses against Ner'zhul later on, the number of Scourge would be so low that it wouldn't be a threat to Azeroth.
The only reason Arthas wasn't raping everything when he was the lich king was because, his humanity and the fact that he beat nerzhul in the battle for his mind held him at bay. But, I think Bolvar is going to be defeated by Nerzhul in the battle for Bolvars mind. Afterwords the scourge will unleash its entire furry on everything with the lichking guiding them on what to do. This will inturn make it harder to defeat the scourge because they would have a central command and not be mindless.

bolvar might come back in the future if they ever decide to make the final expansion with Sargeras, and everyone, including the new lich king (who hopefully will be able to control himself and the scourge) will fight sargeras. perhaps it is possible to have a more conscience lich king. arthas was, he was just initially swayed due to frostmourne, which bolvar is not in posession of.

@realdenni199 Sindragosa was a frost wyrm and thus undead and not sentient. Deathwing is fully aware and capable of thought and would never allow himself to be made a pet. Especially considering there's absolutely no connection between Bolvar and Deathwing other than they're both "fiery". Deathwing is his own evil entity, and Bolvar will absolutely not become a powerful force of evil for us to kill.

Notice how Bolvar gains the double-voice at the end there. I think Ner'Zul's not quite dead...maybe he's even getting better. Yeah, you can argue that Arthas suppressed him, and maybe even destroyed his spirit, but we only heard that from Arthas himself...and he's a pretty unreliable narrator.

Bolvar hes all firery right now so as of cataclysm deathwing will come right? deathwing is also all firery so i think Bolvar(New lichking) will have DeathWing as pet like Arthas had sindragosa as pet

@realdenni199 Sindragosa was a frost wyrm and thus undead and not sentient. Deathwing is fully aware and capable of thought and would never allow himself to be made a pet. Especially considering there's absolutely no connection between Bolvar and Deathwing other than they're both "fiery". Deathwing is his own evil entity, and Bolvar will absolutely not become a powerful force of evil for us to kill.

now seriously, i think blizz is gonna use this to explore fordragon as the new lich king. arthas was driven mad (or madder than he already was) by the whisperings of the lich king via frostmourne. they can make a new antagonist by "maddening" fordragon and giving him, i dunno, maybe ashbringer, frostmourne or something like that

@MrRaptureman Ok, you can see some mobs that are "officialy" lore dead, are still ingame. Like Arthas, he is dead in lore, but in-game he is in the starting loc. cause those quests are like a story, before he was dead, and he will be there forever, after that "He betrayed us etc." you got lvl about 58 and you can go to Outlands, from there to Northrend and at level 80 go kill that badass! What a fucking crazy story eh? :O
