  • He was gay

  • @crookhunter you're the gay....faggot

  • Now days if you say something like that Brian France fines you. I wonder what Earnhardt would have done with Brian lol

  • DALE SEEN IT COMING,....MIKE HELTON, YOU SOULDA LISTENED.--- INSTEAD YOU DICTATED EVERYTHING THE TEAM AND DRIVE CAN DO AND TOOK OUT THE SPORT OF RACING.---2011 you tried to get it back with "LET THEM RACE" by putting driving back in drivers hand. -- MAY BE TOO LATE!!!!

  • @blustar40 mike helton owns a company that makes the tether ropes for holding the wheels, hood and trunk on to the cars.only his can be used, because they have a red thread in them, that can be seen against the yellow thread for authenticity.he also does other things that goes on the cars, but im not sure of what that is,so he makes money for allowing or not allowing certain things.one thing for sure, the team owner cry about cost,so they try to help,by cutting back on certain things.

  • @blustar40 the things that they cut back on ,shows up on the track, from a competition stand point, what they need to do is cut some of the jobs that is not needed.teams used to have say 15 members an 1 secatary.now they have 50-70 members.i realize that theres alot more work and activaties going on,but alot of the bull could be cut out.also all the flights, big trucks, parties could be cut down on,instead of the racing.im sure others out there could come up with other ways to cut down on cost.

  • they never black flag you for contact, , they black flag you if you got to much damage on your car ! or speeding down pit road/mistakes on pit road,.

  • I wonder what he would think about this two car tandem crap.

  • Mr. Bill france would roll over in his grave if he seen that deal- HAHAHA. I wonder how he'd feel about the tandem "limo style" drafting....

  • This wasn't the Daytona 500 if I remember right this was after one of the qualifying races.

  • @ThomasJowers0 What exactly incited Dale to anger that day? I'm sure he was referring to a specific incident.

  • @MartenFerret If I remember right he was leading the race on a restart on the white flag and he got a great restart but because of the rules package at the time they had him passed before the exit of 2. He was angry because of the plate sizes and how the cars had no throttle response at all the cars just would not go.

  • @ThomasJowers0 Thanx.

  • @MartenFerret remember he was going for his 11th Daytona Gatorade Qualifying race win in a row. Coming to a restart on the white flag lap he was sure he had it wrapped up. Sure that played a part into his anger.

  • NASCAR isn't NASCAR anymore. It's bullshit now. Earnhardt is write. Its not how fast the car is it's the driver. Now they r just trying to make the cars faster. Fuck them. Let the drivers show there skills not the cars.

  • the chase dose not reward the best guy threw out the year it only rewards the best i nthe last 10 races so what the hecks the point in watching the first part of the season then

  • @chrismcdonald16602 every race is just as competitive as the last. Drivers are competting for points postition every weekend just to get into or stay in tht top ten points.. It's always great racing

  • looks like it can be rendered on the gba

  • NASCAR IS NOT NASCAR ANYMORE.... IT FUCKIN SUCKS NOW IF THEY BARELY TOUCH EACH OTHER THEY ARE BLACK FLAGGED....FUCK THE SAFETY FEATURES ALL DRIVERS KNOW WHAT COULD HAPPPEN TO THEM AND THATS A RISK THEY SHOULD BE WILLING TO TAKE IF THEY WANNA DRIVE IN THE BIG LEAGUES......NASCAR IS DEAD NOW START BRINGING IT BACK TO LIFE FOR CHRIST SAKES

  • @seyloisqueer4life yeah right, nobody ever gets black flagged for contact. You barely get in trouble for intentionally wrecking somebody anymore. The rules in that respect are less strict than they have been in decades.

  • @erasetoimprove the hell they are. NASCAR died when dale earnhardt died

  • @seyloisqueer4life No matter how much people want to say it, Dale Earnhardt wasn't what made NASCAR. Hell I and many other fans didn't even like the guy for more of his career. He gained so much popularity after 1996 when we saw him race with painful injuries for years to still come back in win races. But the sport wasn't built on him. Losing Earnhardt to me was more shocking, but not more tragic than losing any other driver.

  • now both big bill and dale sr are rolling in their graves over the new way of superspeedway racing, im glad jr is speaking up about it

  • Believe me guys, a lot more people whine then Just Earnhardt Sr, Kyle Busch, Tony Stewart and Kevin Harvick, They just don't say it on T.V. More then likely sponsors or there worried about what the public thinks of them.

  • with these new cars if a bug gets in the grill the cars gone tear up there sorry they need to go back to just good ole stock cars

  • @QuickN1ck NASCAR is entirly different from any other sport in America. If you tried to make it like the NFL, it would take away the whole point of watching it. The best man throughout the season should win. Its like wiping away a 40 point lead in the fourth quarter in the superbowl just to "add excitment".

  • @QuickN1ck yeah well with no chase he wouldnt have won five, hell he would have only won two

  • 1. Take away the chase

    2. Go back to racing back to the flag

    3. No more of the top 35 (top 30 in nationwide) locked in

    4. Get rid of the stupid scoring loop bull shit

    5. Take espn off of the broadcasting schedule

  • 1. Agreed

    2. Agreed

    3. Disagree

    4. Agree

    5. Meh, noone will do a better job.

  • True driver not afraide to voice his opinion.

  • what would dale say now

  • i would be ticked if i were him too

  • Get rid of the chase. It just penalizes the leader with a big lead. And penalizes any body after 12t h position fom moving up in the points in the last 12 races. This racing is for the newbies. Go back to the basics. And yea Brian France is a pencil pushin' punk , selling out real racing

  • THOSE COMMENTS STILL STAND TODAY!!!!

  • @kmtdog1 i agree Dale would be sayin the same thing about today's 500! today's race and the 2000 daytona 500 were the worst 500's in the last few years.

  • If only nascar listened to these guys it would be a "sport" not just driving cars really fast in circles all day

  • @sneezabonk Nascar isn't a sport, it's a divison of a sport.

  • If I'm not mistaken, this was actually after the Twin 125s earlier that week.

  • BRIAN FRANCE IS THE PROBLEM!

  • @dlwile33

You're right. Brian Francy Pants is the one who killed NASCAR.

  • Who'd have thought he'd be even angrier after the 2001 500?

  • On Feb. 18 2011 is the tenth anniversary of the worst thing that happend to NASCAR. On that day im going to be wearing a Dale Earnhardt t-shirt and hat for the entire day.

  • @stinngs120 You mean michael Waltrip winning his first BIG race?

  • @tryithere yup thts the day

  • Once again the crybaby cries he was such an overrated HACK

  • I think dale earnhardt would roll over in his grave if he saw NASCAR today

  • @ben38619 He rolled over in his car enough.

  • @ben38619 For as much as I dislike Sr, I can't disagree with you one bit.

  • He's just mad cause he didn't win...again

  • And a year later he got so mad, that going into turn 4 he said " eff this shit"

  • @WILLY2409 FUCK YOU WHY DONT YOU SLIT YOUR WRISTS WITH A BUTTER KNIFE DALE DID MORE IN HIS AFTER LIFE THAN YOU WILL EVER DO IN YOUR ENTIRE LIFE FUCK RIGHT OFF

  • @dextergallant Didn't he repave the track this year? I think I saw him in the pictures.

  • @WILLY2409 I'll see you in hell.

  • thats the problem with Earnhardt gone the drivers and crews don't have a voice anymore. And if you do voice something critical of NASCAR you get fined

  • Earnhardt was referring to the new aero package that basically made everyone three wide for 200 laps cause the 1999 500 was "boring". That racing was ridiculous.

I honestly don't think Dale would have been against making the cars and the tracks safer. These rule changes are the reason no one DIES anymore.

  • Wish someone would say that NOW..It's more true now than ever.

  • I don't think Dale would be racing much these days if he were still alive. He'd be 60 years old lol. Probably would have retired at 55 latest. So, yeah.......

  • @PneumaticTire Yeah, I agree with you. He would have taken a look at the new car of tomorrow, when it first came out a few years ago, and said, "there's no damn way I'm gettin' in that crap", and would have just retired right then. Oh man, Nascar's constant "tweaking." Ugh!

  • lil Brian France probably would have fined him 25 points and 100 Grand for talking bad about NASCAR and "actions detrimental to stock car racing"

  • If he made those comments in 2009 or 2010, he would have been fined a LOT of money by NASCAR like Denny Hamlin and Ryan Newman, despite the fact that every fan knows what they said was true (NASCAR manipulating "debri" yellows and Talladega racing being super dangerous).

  • if dale sr was still here, nascar would be ALOT different. nascar is a joke now.

  • I wonder what he would say today about the current state of NASCAR.

  • If he says this back then.... 10 years later.... He would lose it.

  • dales comments led to the wicker on the roof of the cars as well as the spoilers at daytona and talladega

  • THOSE COMMENTS STILL STAND TODAY!! If he was still alive he would be saying the same thing. He would not care if he got fined. This was when nascrap started going down the toilet!

  • I always wondered what Dale's opinion of the COT would have been

  • There he goes, whining again. Mr. crash and bash.

  • What NASCAR should do:

    1. get rid of the top 35

    2. get rid of start and parks

    3. get more night races

    4. get rid of the double yellow line

    5. start the chase drivers at 5000 pts each

  • Boy, the 2000 Daytona 500 must've sucked if Dale said all of that. If the cars were that bad, I don't blame him for being upset. Boy, who would've known that the next year, he gets killed in this very same race.

  • Dale Earnhardt was awesome but it seems like he was more of a whiner than a racer at times.

  • @papein LOL nascar can be boring enough now F1 makes me fall straight asleep thats why they have no viewership

  • @gravedigger277 not to mention normal people don't get up at 3 am just to watch a race.

  • @papein single file racing, hardly any passing, f1 was good a decade or so ago, lately it's just follow-the-leader and hardly any passes, and don't tell me "it's just the way americans cover it" hey, douchebag, the tv feed you see, is what all countries see!, the feed is produced by the FIA!, the networks just put their own commentators over it.

  • Why was he saying this? What did NASCAR do?

  • i hope brian france and mike helton never get into the hall of fame

  • "mr bill france sr probably rolled over in his grave if he seen that deal!"

    isnt that the truth...

  • Larz need to relax a bit. What Chameleone is true, NASCAR would levy fines if anyone said that today (The great E too). Another thing, you may think that spouting off a string of curse words shows your anger but it just makes you look small, like you can't put together a logical and concice argument to prove your side. What is your side anyway

  • careful Dale, if Nascar heard you say that now they would fine you.

  • @chameleone79 fuck you you stupud fuckin idiot, you really think think that is funny. go fuck yourself you stupid little monkey fuckin bitch ass mother fucker!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @larz83drummer get a life. bye

  • @chameleone79 well maybe you should get a life... i mean you really have to make fun of someone like that... you really need to get your ass fuckin kicked.... so once again... FUCK YOU!!!!!

  • @larz83drummer #1 the comment i left was making fun of nascar not a someone. #2 this is the internet so threats do not really mean a thing. #3 you make youself look like a tool when all you can say is the f word followed by lots of exclamation points. lol

  • @chameleone79 yeah, well i would LOVE to see you even think of saying that in front of a bunch of nascar fans. also, if you don't like it, stay away from it, no one wants to hear your shit.

  • nascar should have listened to him. even though he could win more than his share of plate races, he actually hated them.. he wanted to RACE. this is not racing..

  • back when you could speak your mind about the sport...

  • Gotta love that man. Rest in peace dale

  • Dale Earnhardt is spinning in his grave right now watching the crap every week.

  • @jake99776 damn right jake.. so true.

  • Couldnt agree more. If he was still alive he would be saying the same thing today and be throwing in cuss words as well. He probably would not care if he got fined or not. Im waiting for a driver, commentator, crew chief, pit reporter, etc to quit and tell nascar to shove it up their ass on tv. It will happen one of these days. Nascar will shut down if Mr. France doesnt do something real soon.

  • @kmtdog1 rumor is bruton smith is on the verge of starting his own series. he almost has enough tracks to do it.. i wish he would

  • All he said here is true today... Its still true to this day... they have ruined racing, and its not just super speedway racing at Daytona or Talladega, it has spanned to most every track they have... Dale Earnhardt spoke the sad future of NASCAR in these short 20 seconds...

  • I don't get it why is he mad?

  • @88horrorfan riding around in a pack all day long. cant pass or you lose the draft.. just pitiful racing. hell it aint been racing there in along time.. since 88 to be exact. dale loved the big tracks then.. you could race then

  • bring back the old car....C O T sucks...

  • Martinsville has to be the most boring track there is.

  • Strange to think, that this was his last ever full Daytona 500

  • this wasnt 2000. in 2000 he drove a red Taz car with a black firesuit. this probably was after the 500 from earlier years or the pepsi 400 before it was a night race

  • @DsturbedFan728 this was 2000. i remember seeing the interview.

  • @sroush24 maybe it was the bud shootout then, because for the 500 he wore a black firesuit, and was complaining about junior after the race

  • Earnhardt speaks the truth.New stuff in NASCAR is stupid. Why they can't race like it was in 1995 or something?!

  • man if he was still alive nascar would be great i bet they would still have old car lol

  • This is why if dale was still alive, Nascar would be ALOT diffrent

  • mujinnokoya you, sir, are an idiot!

  • @mujinnokoya You're a just mad at the world because God made you a little dicked Jap. We understand.

  • he always complained about the plate tracks

  • Im actually not so sure this is the 2000 Daytona 500.

Its more than likely the 2000 Pepsi 400 because in the 2000 Daytona 500, Dale drove the Taz Car and had the Taz hat and Firesuit, here, he just has his regular hat and firesuit on.

    RIP Dale Earnhardt

  • ummm... it couldn't of been the Pepsi 400, it was still daylight.

    RIP Dale Earnhardt

  • What happened here that got Dale so mad at this race?

  • Words of truth. Dale always spoke his mind. God rest his soul

  • At least Dale, Tony Stewart,,and sometimes Ryan Newman spoke thier mind when sompting wasent the way the fans or drivers wanted.

  • That's what i loved about him. He always spoke his mind.

  • @vargas37 he would be fined today for criticising the almighty nascar. i miss the great one.. he would tell it like it is.. period..

  • Hendrick and Jimmie Johnson don't hold a candle to what DEI would be if Big E was still around...

  • Hendrick and Big E as you call him , were best of friends... But yes things would be alot different....

  • @creedstruth

    Your point is.... ???

  • @Blueford1979 They had a great friendship , so nothing says hendricks wouldn't be even stronger and more dominating

  • @creedstruth

I'm not talking about friendship, the entire scene would be different, DEI would be dominant. NASCAR died with the Intimidator.

  • @Blueford1979 id say hes the best ever but sports dont die because someones gone same way Tiger Woods leaving golf didnt kill it just how it is

  • @creedstruth

    Golf sucks. RIP NASCAR.

  • well guys, statistically speaking, whether you believe it or not, but nascar is actually getting more popular and bigger than it was 10 years ago. or even when they first created the sport, the only downfall is because its an automotive sport, and rely on sponsors, so really they have been hurting but who hasnt? anyways, its actually more popular than it ever has been to be honest.

  • It's true that nascar is still popular with the main stream media. However, because of that we have lost our beloved sport that we enjoyed before the popularity hype began (Fox: 2001). If that was aligned with the heyday of racing you can bet the sport would be 10x more fun to watch for everyone! One thing i can't understand about nascar was back in the day they touted that the sport's afforablity to race. But what's this i hear about 200K for one cup car!? This isn't F1 racing! Ridiculous!!

  • @rmderke Your statements are incorrect . The attendance and ratings are down the last 2 to 3 years. Even some of the popular tracks are not selling out now. This never happened 5 to 10 years ago, each race was a guaranteed sellout.

  • Now there not allowed to bump draft into the corners which makes 4 some boring racing. R.I.P Sr

  • typical nascar fan. you wanted to use they're in this instance. lol

  • I was never an Earnhardt fan but I really miss watching him race and NASCAR really has gone down hill with his passing.

  • I would be pissed too

  • nascar is getting worse and worse every year. we need less cookie cutter borefest tracks, a real points system based on performance and not just timing, and drivers who are allowed to race and settle things for themselves. bill france sr is definitely rolling over in his grave, brian france has already started to fuck up everything bill helped build.

  • You'd like me then, If I ran Nascar, I got quite a few things to change for the better.

    1. Those borefest tracks (New Hampshire, California, Pocono) will only be cut to 1 race.

    2. Bring back Wilkesboro and Rockingham (ask builders to build 100,000 more seats)

    3. Get rid of the Chase

    4. Keep the soft walls at all tracks

and 5. Get rid of the "Below the Yellow Line" rule at the plate tracks.

    That's my big 5

  • you certainly would be a good president of nascar.

  • @racingformusic

#5 should be adjusted or followed with #6:

Get Rid of the Restrictor Plate.

Compared to when Allison, Petty, and Big E were racing, these cars are safety tanks now.

  • @Hiei2k7 That's a thought.

  • @racingformusic

    Agreed, especially #3

    ^^

  • @racingformusic There are a couple of problems there. One, the Chase prevents walkoff championship wins. Two, the "below the yellow line" rule is a safety deal. It's a lot slicker below the yellow line, and the difference in banking with the area below the yellow line versus the area above it can REALLY upset cars.

  • @gp75motorsports agreed on both, but on the other hand, the "Below the yellow line" rule sometimes prevents possible 1st time winners (I'm still mad that they DQed Regan Smith of a win at Talladega in '08), and as for my Get rid of the Chase rule, not to take anything away from Jimmie Johnson, but I believe that the best car ALL YEAR (from the Daytona 500, to the Homestead 400) should be the REAL Champion.

  • @racingformusic and let them race back to the line on the final lap if a caution comes out

  • @TGTAP That's another good one, How about this one to add, Go back to the 1 attempt at a Green, White, Checkered Restart Rule, I think 3 attempts are just flat stupid, Jeff Gordon said it best, when he said, "You can try it 10 times, and you still won't make it back to the white flag unscathed."

  • @racingformusic Hypocrites. Everyone was complaining after they did not finish under green like they said it would at the Budweiser Shootout, and NASCAR responded. Now people are complaning. Its the same with the Chase and the COT.

  • @racingformusic those are some great ideas. you know your stuff

  • @racingformusic I would also put on there GET RID OF THE C.O.T. (my opinion)

  • @kmtdog1 Definately!!!

  • @racingformusic If I ran NASCAR, I would do the same as you.

    1. Get rid of the Chase

    2. Reinstate racing back to the flag

    3. Get rid of the awful new Double-file restart rule

    4. Get more full-time Dodge teams before Dodge actually leaves NASCAR

    5. Fire Mike Helton as NASCAR President

    That's my big 5

    5.

  • @timduncan21spursfan also, get rid of the 3 attempts at a green white checkered restart, agreed with your number 4, I believe that you should have more choices as far as which manufactuer to drive, whether Dodge, or Ford, or Chevrolet. Imagine if you still had Pontiac, and Buick still racing in Nascar like you did back in the 80's.

  • Comment removed

  • @timduncan21spursfan I completely agree with all of that, with the exception of reinstating racing back to the flag. It's something that is just dangerous and unnecessary. They have done a good job eliminating races that finish under caution with the green-white-checkered overtime rules, so racing back to the flag is not needed. That's just my opinion. I only wish I watched racing back when it was really racing.

  • @timduncan21spursfan I agree with everything but add one more get rid of the COT and bring back the old car. Nascar needs to listen to their fans more and fix this sport.

  • @timduncan21spursfan Also bring back passing under the yellow at super speedways some of the best wins happened when those were the rules.

  • @timduncan21spursfan

2 of your 5 are dumb as shit ideas

  • @timduncan21spursfan it's not mike helton that's ruiningthe sport, it's brian france.

  • @timduncan21spursfan Brian France is trying to cater to the stick-and-ball fan rather then keep the die-hard old fans.

as far as winston leaving, due to FEDERAL REGULATIONS they had to, which was passed in 2002, went into effect on january 12th, 2004, that there is to be NO tobbaco sponsorship of any major sporting event, or event in general.

  • @timduncan21spursfan I agree with you, but I would leave The double file restart rule and keep Mike Helton as President so they can start a mutiny against Brian France! Brian France is the Problem!

  • @timduncan21spursfan well you r right but the double file resarts are great. it adds more fun to it

  • @wes3tomcat No. They're boring. All it does is lead to more crashes one after another. I hope they get rid of it soon and bring back the old restart rule, which is WAY better.

  • @timduncan21spursfan not really but you and me cant change alot of things in NASCAR

  • @timduncan21spursfan No they aren't. They actually keep the race interesting, having cars start single file is stupid. Double file actually gives other drivers chances at moving up positions. As far as causing more wrecks? No, not quite. None of the crashes I've seen on restarts were because of the restart, most of the cars have already sorted themselves back to single file.

  • @timduncan21spursfan 1,2,4 YES!

3 I actually kind of like it

5 Helton isb't actually that bad, it's Brian France who is the fucktard

  • @timduncan21spursfan

    1. I agree.

    2. No need for it, it just causes safety issues.

    3. Your about stupid if you want to get rid of double-file restarts, that is the only thing that makes it interesting.

    4. Nascar isn't the car companies baby sitters.

    5. Helton isn't the one controlling the changes, it is Brian France.

  • @timduncan21spursfan I disagree with reinstating racing back to the flag. That rule came about as a safety precaution. Cars catch fire all the time, it's important for the safety of the drivers for the medical people to respond immediately. The last race that had racing back to the flag, Jimmy Spencer, at least a lap if not more down, wrecked Dale Jarrett who was in the top 5 trying to get a lap back. Other than that, I pretty much agree with the other 5. Don't mind the Chase too much

  • @XjrbxcX BTW, it wasn't Spencer - it was Casey Mears.

  • @timduncan21spursfan

    1. I agree.

    2. I disagree. Racing back to the flag caused many safety issues.

    3. Double file restarts make the race more interesting! (More lead changes)

    4. It is pretty sad that Dodge is in decline, but I don't think there's much we can do about that.

    5. You might as well say fire Brian France, he also controls NASCAR. It's not just Mike Helton.

  • @timduncan21spursfan I agree with all of them except for #2. That one is about safety and getting help to the drivers as soon as possible after a crash.

  • @timduncan21spursfan I agree with most of these, but the double file restart one I don't. Shootout restarts make for some wicked finishes, and takes lap down out of the equation towards the end.

  • Oh yeah number 6 don't let open wheelers come race because they suck. Juan Montoya, Sam Hornish, Danica Patrick, Scott Speed, yeah those guys are just in the way. Take these rules and show mr. Brian France and remind him that his dad and grandpa would kick his ass if they saw modern nascar

  • @MrBurney12 I agree with all of that except for Montoya. In case you didn't know, he's currently my favorite driver.
