Joe Lieberman is not fit to become Defense secretary.
He could have use valid real arguments if he wanted to defend the actual invasion. Saddam had previously invaded Kuwait. USA and its allied Saudi Arabia where afraid that if he invaded, then, unequipped Saudi Arabia it might be a threat to stable oil import to the US. A totally valid concern and a valid argument to get the military involved.
You can even argue that US needs bases there now because of the failed -post invasion- plans.

He regularly encourages people to look into the facts themselves, and steps very carefully to avoid condemning or villifying people with differing opinions to his.
