Praise God, our Lord Yeshua, our church has not been celebrating Christmas for almost 6 years, we are not allowed also to greet "Merry Christmas". Through these years we have seen so many breakthrough especially in prayers, we are now active in midnight prayer, dawn, afternoon and every evening for everyday! So many miracles and healing occurs. We are progressing back to the Acts!

I believe too many Christians waste too much of their time trying to stress the pagan origins of Christmas. What is more important are the hearts of the people. We should be trying to reach them. Despite the pagan origins, Christmas becomes a perfect opportunity to share the good news of Jesus Christ. We should make use of it. We can take a pagan holiday and turn it on its head for the glory of God--thus, defeating the purposes of Satan.

Christianity is laden with pagen symbols especially in older churches. All they did is incorporate pagen symbols into the church a long with a few holidays to make conversions easier. Jeremiah 10 is NOT a Christmas tree but a GRAVEN IMAGE (vs14). It is made of wood. The wood comes from the tree. The tree comes from the forest. Tools are used to shape it into an image. Molten gold & / or silver are then poured on it to finish it. It is then worshipped as a god. That is what Jer. 10 speaks of, NOT a Christmas tree. I have one & I don't worship it as God. @KijaniAmariAK Yes it is commercialized, but so is Christianity itself; we buy little Jesus statuettes and angel figurines, etc. But giving gifts to people actually makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside :) and concerning philanthropy, I know many Christians who do less charity work than me (I do at least 3 hours every 2 months,) and I'm not even a Christian. And although it may have come from Pagan traditions, Christmas is celebrated by many non Pagan people. Like me.

@panecitaxmurakami and why does it have to be at this only??? Why can't there be a time or specific day every month where poor people get help. If the Lord wanted us to celebrate his birth on a specific day it would have been in his word. Giving should happen all the time and not only once a year. The Lord should be praised and worshipped every day not once a year. If Christmas is supposedly focused on the birth of Jesus, why do many people who aren't even Christians celebrate Christmas??

In the scriptures, God states literally in Isaiah that all those festivals, new moons, and sabbaths were not acceptable. God goes on to ask who asked them to do these things. These people were iodlatrous and doing their own things and then doing what they thought was holy unto God. They were SINFUL and God was not accepting of what they thought was right. It is the same thing as today with many religions and IMO the "christian" church

religion and bible are symbolic...not literal unlike what you think...the sun is the star of david...its just a design...it was also seen in the flag of israel...no one knows when is the correct date of xmas...they just set it on december 25 so that, each christian will be able to celebrate the birth of the messiah..as long as we`re not hurting anybody, we are not satanic...you dont have to take some issues regarding christianity...santa in xmas is just a symbol of giving and sharing...

The Scriptures are literal as well. The mark of the beast is an actual mark on the hand that will allow those who take it to buy and sell, without it you won't be able to. By your own admission Xmas is taking YESHUA out of christmas. I don't have time to debate with you though do your own research you will be surprised by what you find. The people that have devised these holidays ARE EVIL. YHWH decreed HOLY DAYS there is a difference.

We are only celebrating the birth of Jesus. No one knows the exact date of the birth of Jesus so no one has the right to tell us to stop celebrating Christmas in December 25. Some celebrations happen during same dates. If we are practicing that Yule then, we will prepare ourselves for that. Most Catholics don't even know what Yule is. We are celebrating this season with love. If we are satanic then we will not tell the people to read the bible, to pray, to love each other. We are not satanic!

I always thought Christmas was a wonderful holiday. We give gifts to our family members as the 3 kings done unto Jesus. I don't believe in Santa. If I give or receive gifts am I celebrating a pagan tradition?
