  • GOOD video man :)

  • perfect

  • This is a very good video and helped me out alot. But it seems to do a establishing shot you have to have a Jib or some other type exspensive equipment.

  • thanks this very useful gives me an idea how i will shoot my next project thanks again

  • whats the best camera angle or shot for a car driving scene

  • helpful and nice job on the heads on.. haha

  • An over the shoulder shot is called an over the shoulder shot (OTS). A point of view is from the actor's perspective. I still believe it is correct.

  • Point of view shot was wrong... Point of view is over the shoulder. Your thinking of subjective (in the eyes of the actor)

  • Fantastic Narration!!

  • excellent work

  • that helps a lot with my school work

  • Nice tutorial! I love scrubs!

  • This is really helpful, thanks!

  • You are the guy at the end?

You forgot one of my favorites shots, the sequence shot (I don't know if that's its name in english)

    tc

  • thx

  • love your work

i became fond of filming since i watched this first time.

  • Usefull

  • That was the most helpful video I have seen yet....thank you!

  • Great job! I will be using the arc shot in some of my movie openings, cause i make movies with stuffed animals, because my friends suck at acting, and just plain hate it. and its hard to film yourself alone... so yea. Great video! Thanks alot!

  • @BillyTheAlienVideo hhahahah @ stuffed animals.. are you serious about your filmmaking ambitions? or is it more of a hobby..

  • @dddoughboyyy I SAID WHY, DOUGHBOY! My friends wont make movies wit me. And i luv makin movies... someday i'll show u. Im not over 20 years old, either...

  • @BillyTheAlienVideo i feel you man.. are you into this filmmaking ambition full-time? or is a side thing?

  • @dddoughboyyy Well, im still in middle school, so i dont have a job, but later i want to go to a university that supports filmmaking because i want to be a director or an editor because i love doing both of them. Look at my claymations, not that i want to make animations, but just editing.

  • @BillyTheAlienVideo if you wanna begin films, you have to work with the limited resources you have. I have friends that suck at acting too, but if you're specific on what you want and patient, you'll be surprised. So help the acting with your friends, rather than going for stuffed animals... which... don't act anyway. lol

  • Thank you for your support! Glad it was of instructional benefit to you.

  • thnks for producing this marvelous tutorial !!

  • Great Video helped me allot for my project keep up the good work :)

  • Thanks really needed this! =D

  • Great stuff, thanks! Help me out. :)

  • That's me in the head on! I couldn't find a head-on shot so I decided to finish it with me.

  • lol, is that you in the head on shot??

  • i believe you're right about the shot names. In holland we have a saying

"give the critter a name" it means you have several names for subject. However, I think that the Dolly shot has the wrong example, the definition is right. But the shot is more of a craneshot, i dont think i have to explain why

  • THANK YOU VERY MUCH,GREAT HELP TO ME!

  • nice work

  • Thank you! I appreciate this very much. This video was made for a film class specifically and includes the most important and widely used shots in the cinema industry.

  • This is great! I am showing it to my 8th grade film class today. We are starting our camera shots project. Your tutorial is well done and clearly explained. Thanks for posting this.

  • Honestly, filming isn't really that hard if you take the time to learn how to do shit.

  • That zooming shot of the subject being the only thing staying still is a movie effect, not a shot.

  • The SHOT he was talking about is called> DOLLY ZOOM or vertigo shot. salutations,

    In french > travelling compensé

  • Whats the shot where the person is still, but everything around it either zooms back? (hallway scene in Poltergeist, Harry Potter 6, Malfoy)

  • great video, im definaly using some of these in my newest film, im planning out a vietnam film

  • excellent work!!! well done. :) appreciate your effort

  • nice vid!

  • I agree. To show the big picture, in a way, it could be used for a comedic event.

  • I believe the long shot can be used, immediately after a closer kind of shot, to underscore a comedic event. Am I right?

  • you forgot worm's eye view!

  • my favorite one

  • i am doing media studies and this is really helpfull.

    Thank You!

  • studyin movies as part of my english course dude, good job:)

  • No! I'm white!
