These Boys Were Cursed In There Career There Manager Robbed Them Blind And It Caused 2 Suicides In The Band Dam Cockroaches One Of Me Favourite Tunes Of All Time
YOu know how when you hear a song and you imagine what the singer looks like or his character. I was bout 10 when i first heard this. For some reason i imagine the singer being an east coast guy with Italian back ground maybe, with a Boston accent, I don't know why.
this song was co written by the great john lennon of the beatles, im only 13 and my dad has shown me the power of older music the beatles are my second fav band next to elo
@friesboy18 Badfinger (then fronted by Joey Molland & new members) played my local Octoberfest in 1990. They weren't bad considering the fact what happened to Ham & Evans in the 80's.
They singlehandedly gave bubblegum music respectability, with this thrilling arrangement leading the way. Without Badfinger, no Go Go's, Bangles, Knack, Green Day.
I understand though, why many people think this song is Paul's: there is a rumor stating this as fact all over YouTube, so people repeat that not knowing. It's okay. but this is without question Pete Ham's song.
This song was Pete Ham's: Come And Get It was Paul's. Pete also wrote Day After Day etc & Without You...made famous by Nelsson...& by now, everyone else...but Pete played it slow and moody, if anything Pete's original version is more powerful, but in an inronic [quiet] way. And just to clarify, this song is 100% Pete's own.
misses me more than i know hm can i have that in writing? guess there would only be one real way 2 find out if that was true or not and obviously we cant do that now can we.think jr missez her a hell of alot more despite everything. and um nice to know amelia was efin with me but every body does so what els is new! and alot could convince me if u really wanted it 2 sorry if i find things abit hard to believe rite now kind of hard to pove things when ur so far away.but there r ways u can uknow ;)
@markwoodnyusa - Paul wrote 'Come and Get It' a song that he handed the demo to Badfinger, and made them play note for note. That's the song that got them really noticed. (used in The Magic Christian)
i was listening to this song thinking wow this sounds alot like the beatles then i did some research and found out that Paul Mccartney actually wrote this song and The Beatles signed this band to the apple label
@shawndixon13 The song you're probably thinking of is Come And Get It, which Paul wrote and produced for Badfinger. He insisted they do it exactly the same way as the demo he brought in, which yielded them a hit.
lillian axe does a good version of this song. i use to sing and play this song in my band. still have a recording of me singing this in my house with a freind one night messin around with different songs. the beatles had a hand with these guys as you can tell by there sound and being on apple label. so sad 2 of them ended there lives :( but they made alot of great music.. the rasberrys i think fancy them self after these guys as well they both have the same sound :)
This is a song that every now and then just comes into my head - I suddenly thought "I know, I'll Youtube it", and 'someone' was kind enough to have put on a superb quality original version, can't thank you enough!
One of the very best pop songs ever written. This little gem was a great encore song at the end of the night...let me tell you. Packed the dance floor each time we played it.

Mccartney did not write this song. Pete Ham did. But I guess he would have been flattered.

Pete Ham always reminded me of John Lennon, the guitar seems to be put through some sort of phaser to get that rich fuzzy sound, like it very much.

Finally, I found this song! LOVE IT.
I always remember hearing it from Now and Then. It's the best.
No matter how old I get, I'll always wish I was a kid in the late 60's, early 70's.
