  • I am trying to obtain a copy of the film but it's very hard to come by. anyhow it has fashioned my view of people and foremost of my own responsibility in dealing with injustice and making a stand. I chose the path less trodden and had a difficult time in boarding school because of that. It would have been easier to go with the flow, be a bully and part of the stronger group. But i wasn't and not be accident - by choice. I just think this doesn't make for a good comedy subject. That's all

  • @Ischi71 I've never seen the original film, and this isn't based on it. This was just a group of college kids throwing something together.

  • @merlock101 @merlock101 I thought so. But by calling it the Milgrim Experiment it is somewhat presented in a different light. This might be the only video anybody might ever see regarding this subject, which is why I felt obliged to leave a comment.

  • Hi guys as funny as you are i am not sure if you have seen the original film. Abraham - ein Versuch released in 1970. I actually saw it when I was about 14 and it haunted me for many years. it was a documentary/ experiment done by the Ma-Planck-Institute in Bavaria to see how far people would go in certain situations. 85% of the "teachers" went all the way to the hardest punishment - death. i cannot remember how small the percentage was of people refusing to be teacher at all...

  • Wow...this was not meant to be taken seriously...and yet everyone has. I'm a college psychology student and I laughed at this! You guys should do a psychological study of the commenters of your videos...or the rest of YouTube. Good job!

  • Spearmints?

  • you do realise that they experimented on Americans not Germans?

  • @heatherwentzx The test subjects were the ones administering the electric shocks, and they don't have German accents.

  • Hey guys,

I´m from Germany and I don`t now why everyone here is like hating you for imitating a german accent ( in fact it really sounds like french ), but I love this Video, I think I`ve watched it for more than 20 times and I'm still laughing about it. Go on, continue doing Videos like this One. I still got one question left: Is this meant to be serious or something, cause if so, I would really feel bad about it :D

    Auf Wiedersehen from Germany

  • @Affengmbh Danke schön, glad you like it. :)

The video is definitely not meant to be taken seriously (even though apparently people do), so don't feel bad! :P

  • To be honest, it rather looked like you wanted to make clear you are gay french people^^ I do not know why you chose to make fun of the Milgram experiment, its just the right material for a proper funny sketch. Sorry, class failed

  • @diiebane Gay French people? We're American and the accents were German. And I don't understand the rest of your comment. You say you don't understand why we made a sketch out of it, and then you went on to say it's the right material for a funny sketch? Make up your mind.

Oh, and I got an A. On both this project and the class.

  • @merlock101 Being german I had the impression the accents sounded like someone trying to make fun of the upper class french people before the revolution (wearing make up, therefor being sissies and "gay", this cliché).

I forgot to write "its just NOT the right material", IMO a real scientific experiment is not the kind of stuff you base a sketch on.

Congrats on the A, with "class failed" I wanted to make clear that the video tried to make me laugh, but didn't.

    mfG diiebane

  • @diiebane The goal of the video was not to make you laugh, it was to make the class laugh while also providing an aid for our oral presentation. The video accomplished this goal.

Why shouldn't we base sketches on scientific experiments? Comedy aids learning.

  • Stanley Milgram was American.

  • @MedullaPancreas Stanley Milgram isn't featured in this video.

  • tooth pick arms

  • this is actually hilarious :D

  • zat zickels yeah

  • And ? Did the teacher survive ?

  • these are definitely not Germans

  • Dude, you need to eat more burgers.

Plus being German myself I can't help feeling slightly offended by your video.

  • @mainstreet86 Being American, I can't help feeling slightly offended by that burger reference. >:[

  • @merlock101 touché :)

  • i would break u in half...literally.

  • @LowLeveledPower Hahahahahahahaha

  • 'Germans are different'

  • i paused it at 18 seconds. That kids gay as shit, and so is this video

  • @Fredman5551 A good measure of someone's intelligence is their ability to comprehend what is a gay parody and what is actually gay. You're not doing so well.

Did you walk out of Brüno 15 minutes in when you realized the main character was gay, not quite realizing that it was all a joke? Probably...

  • @merlock101

A good measure of someones faggotry is in their usernames "merlock101" is a perfect example.

    AKA, blow me, tool

  • @Fredman5551 You really aren't very clever, are you? Uncreative AND grammatically incorrect. Can't expect much from a drone who plays minecraft all day though.

  • @merlock101

Hello, my name is merlock101. Aside from blowing men all day i love to make homosexual videos with my homosexual friends. As if my existence is jeopardized when confronted with a negative response, my anus tightens as i use my "superior intellect" to crush whoever rises against me, by pointing out minor grammatical errors. By making the enemy seem like "lesser" person of society i claim victory and walk away with my head held high.

  • @Fredman5551 And now you're just trying to hard. C'mon man, just give up! My focus isn't on grammatical errors (though they are something to work on). My focus is definitely the utter stupidity that seems to seep from your comments just by the subject matter. All you can think of are homophobic comments, a sign of ignorance and a poor intellect. You also probably have some sort of self esteem issue, considering how desperate you seem to to come out on top. There's counseling for that you know.

  • @merlock101

Stupidity? the fact that i think you and your friends made a TERRIBLE video makes me stupid? You dont like the fact that i think your video sucked more dick than a Philippino hooker. You attempt to insult and belittling me as if to prove that im wrong, no wonder this video has to have its comments approved, you probably delete all the negative ones. I want to come out on top? You responded to my comment with a personal attack, as if i jeopardized your well being.

  • @Fredman5551

and by the way "C'mon man, just give up!"? You think this is a competition with a winner and loser? bugger off and stop spamming my inbox

  • @Fredman5551 Inbox spamming goes both ways buddy. Not only are you spamming my inbox, but I have to go through the hassle of approving every single one of them! By the way... do you really think I delete negative comments? I've been approving yours, haven't I?

Aaaaanyway, the poor quality of this video doesn't make you stupid, your behavior does. Homophobia makes you stupid, your tryhard attempts to insult me make you stupid (especially since all of them involve calling me "gay," how original!)

  • @Fredman5551 And then of course thinking that I reject negative comments when I've been approving yours this whole time definitely puts the icing on the cake!

And if you're offended by personal attacks, it might do you well to follow this little bit of advice: don't issue attacks in the first place! Humans have this odd tendency to respond to insult with insult. Human nature prevailed once again, and now your panties are in a twist because you crossed your intellectual superior. Cry elsewhere.

  • @merlock101

Then why have it enabled in the first place if you accept all?

Listen frank n furter, your video sucked. Thats the cold hard truth, no matter what "superior intellect" you may think you have, youre just another butthurt youtuber who gave me a plethora of laughs. Ill be looking forward for your sequel. That way i can pause it at 8 seconds instead of 18

  • @Fredman5551 Originally I had it enabled to prevent useless comments such as your own, but I've always allowed comments with real feedback. For the last two years or so I just accept all comments and haven't bothered to disable the approval setting.

Now of course I know this video sucks. It wasn't meant to win me an Oscar, it was made as a project for school. I'm far from butthurt, because I've thoroughly enjoyed shitting on you. You're one of those people who takes joke YouTube videos (cont)

  • @Fredman5551 far too seriously, and you make a total ass of yourself while you're at it. Like I said before, your disapproval of the video isn't what this is about - it's about how utterly stupid you come across and how easy it is for me to push your buttons. You wouldn't still be commenting here if I hadn't struck a nerve with you and insulted your pride somehow. And to me, that's fun. Watching you squirm to try and defend your honor after I caught you off guard is highly enjoyable. :)

  • @merlock101

and again, you comment back as if i give a shit. arnt there some dicks you can suck?

  • @Fredman5551 I like how you don't even take my criticism and apply it. I've repeatedly pointed out to you that your unsophistication and lack of originality is evident by your insults being exclusively gay-related, yet you don't even make an effort to find something more creative to insult me about! Come on, can't you do better? You clearly do care, otherwise you wouldn't still be commenting.

Keep on squirming. I also suspect from your constant gay references that you might be a closet homo.

  • @merlock101

Youre still talking? Find a dick and stick to it long enough i dont have to comeback every 14 hours to talk to you

  • @Fredman5551 I love how you keep proving me right. :D

Just give up man. You're like a scared little terrier who has his tail between his legs, but just won't run off.

  • @merlock101

More dicks this way and its an all you can eat buffet --->

    knock yourself out

  • @Fredman5551 You mad bro? You mad?

You're stubborn as hell! You're so furious, knowing you've lost, but you just won't give up! This is so fun!

  • @merlock101

Open your mouth and say "ah"

  • "Be more constructive with your feedback" = Awesome FOTC reference

  • @Olivia4448 :D

  • He's got a big mouth for someone built like greyhound!

  • @pyrofella LMAO

  • LMFAO "zat ticklez yeaah"

  • tenage humor...but why do these frat kids have to inflict it on others.....its not clever.....they want to conform...and rebell at the same time...kids....who needs em?

  • gay tenage humor...but why do these frat kids have to inflict it on others.....its not clever.....they want to conform...and rebell at the same time...kids....who needs em?

  • your german sucks

  • @schnogel That's because we were speaking English.

  • are they joking or something?

  • look it's bruno :)

  • @sarabeth1410 No Sacha Baron Cohen stole my character! :P

  • It's just not funny - waste of time.

  • you are really asshole

  • @tkz8855 I am really asshole?

  • @merlock101 tag your video with PARODY JOKE or some shit , so you don't make people waste their time while they're looking for actual information

  • @TapasBarAmsterdam You see I originally had a description that called it "humorous," but then people got their panties in a bunch about it not actually being funny. I can't please everyone!

  • @merlock101

it's not about pleasing, it's about making Youtube a more fluid experience..

    Vid is funny regardless

  • @tkz8855 you are really an asshole *

  • fuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu suckaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • keine ahnung ich finde es nicht witzig...

  • You have hot friends. ;)

  • LOL

  • lol

  • he reminded me of bruno :L

  • at 0:47

    gay spotted xD

  • lol at this parody...

  • that was hilarious!! :)

  • In the Milgram study, the "subject" was not actually receiving shocks. He was an actor who was hired to pretend to be a subject (called a Confederate in research terms), and the grunts, complaints, and screams were played back from a recording). This is the most commonly misunderstood aspect of Milgram's study, other than the conclusion that the people administering the shocks were somehow "sadistic." That's not true, either. The point is, any one of us might do the same in that situation.

  • fake i swear

  • @TEMPmichaelhansen Please tell me you're joking.

  • @merlock101

this in B&W is trying to make it look like it was the 60's

  • @TEMPmichaelhansen Er. Yeah.

You realize this is a spoof documentary, right?

  • @merlock101

yes but i was wondering who would be mislead. This came to my attention on a DATELINE episode "What were you thinking?" where they did something exactly similar, & they showed clips of the old B&W of voices stating "let me out of here please sir, you have no right to do this to me. I am having heart problems" and another video source has edited excerpts from that video. its 'funny' to hear but not avaliable on DVD!!! you should see DATELINE. i understand, the original not on here

  • @TEMPmichaelhansen omg haha

  • @TEMPmichaelhansen I never abuse people on youtube but you are a fucking idiot.

  • Thanks ^_^

This is gonna help for my revising for my Psychology exam hehe - will be tough to forget! All you needed to fit in there was the year spoken rather than typed and it'd be perfect, great job!

  • Wtf is this..

  • OMG this is hilarious!

  • lol... vielleicht eight!...

  • WTF was written in the notebook in 2:00

  • @nazhiitoxx looks like it was my class schedule!

  • hahahha

  • This is so fail.

  • fake and gay!

  • @whatelse041 Fake? Did you honestly think this video was meant to trick you into believing it was actual footage?

People these days have forgotten what acting means.

  • @merlock101 then call it The Poor Acting Milgram Experiment.

Maybe I shouldn't have said fake, but GAY definately fits!

  • @whatelse041 Don't try and cover up your blatant stupidity. It doesn't matter how good the acting was, fact of the matter is that you're thick enough not to realize that it wasn't meant to be a serious video with authentic footage.

And oh, GAY! HOLY HELL YOU CAUGHT ONTO THE GAY JOKES! Well done, Holmes. Well done.

  • hahahha i loved this!!

  • gay??

  • I like to share this video whenever I'm talking about the Milgram experiment with people unfamiliar with it. It's humorous but still gives a general idea of what the study was about. Thanks much :)

  • Faggots.

  • @redpieman

Says the Linkin Park fan.... LMFAO....

  • this was so funny!!! but sadly, you stretched it out too long

  • This was very funny. Im sure there are those who would be offended... But it was still funny. I was actually looking for a proper reconstruction of Milgram's experiment, but this was a nice break from psychology homework!!

  • humorous? really ? sorry but not even close...

  • I apologize for the deficiency in your sense of humor.

  • XD ahahahahhaha

  • i think that was funny when you asked his name and then you said SHUTUP!! lololololololololololhahahahahahahahahahahaah

  • This is terrible...

  • I'm only bothered by how gay it is.

  • ...bullshit.

  • Really?

  • ..okay, that wasn't a very constructive comment, I apologize ;)

I was frustrated because I wanted to see a serious analysis of Milgram's experiences, and was bothered by the fact you used german accents though it doesn't have anything to do with their country..Please try to avoid the clichés!

That was the mwaning of my very spiritual "bullshit" :P

  • Sorry you were frustrated, but this video was made with comic intentions. There are plenty of serious videos about the Milgram Experiments to be found online. The German accents then of course were for added comic effect. Plus nobody is going to argue against the fact that German accents can be intimidating and sound very authoritative.

  • Aaaall right god, I thought you were maybe going to show a very little proof of humour but obviously you won't.

    Keep it going

  • Sorry? I need proof that the video is supposed to be humorous? :S

  • The video was fairly humorous, but I would have loved to have seen the Milgram's experiment replicated to see if the same results would have appeared in the experiment...despite the fact his experiment was completely twisted lol.

  • Milgram himself redid the experiment with atleast 14 different variations to see what would change. The experiment has also been replicated thousands of times, in almost every country on earth, coming up with the same results.

  • Funny but completely inaccurate

  • How was it inaccurate?

  • I thought it was good, personally. The "cries of agony" were definitely the best part. I don't care what people say, stereotypes are funny.

I thought it was real, up until 0:15 :P

  • Bruno!!! xD

  • This is the absolute worst video I have ever seen. No doubt.

  • those have got to be the skinniest arms i have ever seen. holy shit

  • You don't show the effect of being cloaked in apparent authority on the subject's ability to continue or not, and the willingness of the participants to comply when confronted by that apparent authority in the face of intuitively inappropriate actions and orders. You may understand the experiment, but you don't understand how to make an effective video about it. You turned it into a joke with no information left in it. It's like Jackass threw up all over a poorly written Wikipedia article.

  • If you were unable to recognize the effect of the authority figure on the participants and their willingness to continue the experiment, then you fail entirely at any kind of critical thought when you watch video.

Or you're just really desperate to cover the embarrassment over your childish "eeeew armpit hair!" remarks.

  • Also, you're completely unaware of the circumstances under which this video was made. Do you think I just decided to throw together a little video for youtube without any context about a random event in history? In reality, this was a supporting piece of a much more complete class project, which included a 10 minute in-depth presentation about the subject.

But hey! Good job finally contributing something relevant to the conversation! You should learn to do it more often.

  • @merlock101 It's very sad what the education system has become. You fail at communicating through video.

  • And it apparently has failed you when it comes to reading comprehension.

You know the part where I said that it was a SUPPLEMENT to a ORAL PRESENTATION? If you're too thick to understand what that means, then you probably don't even know enough about these experiments to bother coming in here acting like a self-proclaimed historian and psychologist.

So do kindly fuck off and go back to school.

  • This video is fail. You fail. Rant and scream all you want, but this video makes you look like an idiot. Like I said, you may actually have an understanding of Milgram, but looking at this video it seems you just make it a joke, and so that's what I am going to base things on. This video fails, you fail, you are made of fail.

  • Captain dipshit, it is time for you to get off my channel. If you have anything constructive to say go ahead, but if you can't comprehend the very words I am saying, then it's 100% clear and evident that you are a biased, thick-headed retard who refuses to back off even in the face of being proven wrong.

Why can't you admit that you don't know jack shit about the context this video was made in? It was a supplement, not a stand-alone documentary. It got me an A in the class, it did its job.

  • Now like I said, fuck off and go back to school. You're clearly far too thick to be wandering around in the real world with comprehension skills as lacking and pathetic as yours. Cry to yourself and try and defend your honor by attacking me back like a true Jap would if you like, but it doesn't change the fact that you're wrong, and that you're an absolute idiot.

  • And to top it off, way to jump onto the "fail" bandwagon. You do realize that the internet has moved on, right? It used to be a good, rather funny expression until mass hordes of idiot kids such as yourself hijacked it and started using it in every sentence. Quit killing language.

  • eeew armpit hair.

  • Oh, grow a pair.

  • @merlock101 Are you serious? You know nothing about this experiment if you say something like that... but then again a German understand anything about humanity is such a joke.

  • Comment removed

  • lol look at you.

AHHH I CAN'T HANDLE ARMPIT HAIR.

Yes, grow a pair. If you don't have armpit hair, then your nuts haven't dropped yet.

And as if my comment was relevant to the experiment. I tell you to grow a pair, therefore I don't know about the experiment? How does that work?

  • @merlock101 your comment doesn't mean you don't know crap about this experiment. The fact that you made this god-awful video itself shows you don't know shit. And that guy with the armpit heir is a gross mofo.

  • And exactly what is it about this god-awful video that shows I don't know shit, captain creative? Please point out the inaccuracies starting now!

And don't even bother whining about how there's a German accent.

And don't worry. One day, around the age of 35, you'll finally hit puberty and have armpit hair of your own!

  • I LOVED THIS

  • haha why not? Pansy!

    This guy is awesome!

My A level teacher told me to watch this, and hes right, its hilarious

  • xD this is just bad

  • This is genius :P

    SHE AYE ZHERRR

  • diagf

  • Nice piece of comedy. Just a suggestion: It would be more funny if he had got the "train" question right because that was the most complicated. I love Germany and Germans.

  • Ok, so man doesn't "give him the full power" but woman does.

  • Make the subject learn real German. That would be the ultimate torture - for everyone. (Groan - my brother & sister took German in high school and hated it.)

  • LOL...Did anyone else think of the movie BRUNO?

  • YESSSSS!!!!!

  • fucking funny

  • cant believe i actually watched the whole thing..lol. kinda dum but had to watch it .. great.....

  • What is the sixth question?

  • Dude, that was very good, funny, btw, the girl was HOTT, I want to date her, any chance, let me know.

    lol

  • i was cracking up at this hahaha.

  • lol "be more constructive with your feedback why?" Fotc XD

  • Perhaps not completely accurate, but I admire you for actively interacting with history. :) I'm taking my first course in psychology this year and felt silly for being so excited about these types of experiments, so I'm glad to see others find them intriguing as well.

  • Stupid.

  • You have me in tears. :'(

  • it´s not funny

  • Never is, when you're being made fun of...

  • Take a look at my Milgram videos!

  • ooo, zat tickles ya lol

  • LOLAGE

  • Funny :)

  • Actual Stanley Milgram "experiments" contained NO mundane or psychological realism, as well as having NO random sampling, judgement, morality, logic. The genius paid his participants. As for the actor getting shocked, I'm sure none have won oscars. The guys in the lab coats or "authority figures" belonged in "Boiler Room" They could sell salt to slug. The definition of experiment begins with "a technique of scientific inquiry"(taken Psychology Book)

  • Then how do you explain the repliations of the experiments that showed the same results as the original?

  • lol why are u trying to sound knowledgable, it was all executed badly anyway u lumf

  • Wow. God awful.

  • nicht dem sinn entsprechend und ebenfall schlecht gespielt.

der versuchsleiter hat eig rein gar nichts mit dem exeriment zu tun und sollte nur ton von sich geben wenn der lehrer aufhören möchte..

  • You do realize that nobody was ACTUALLY being electrocuted in the Milgrim experiments...

  • Yes, that's why the video explicitly says that nobody was being actually electrecuted in the Milgram experiments.

  • omg this 5 should have 5 stars

  • This isnt really what I was hoping to see, but it was very entertaining and if I laughed anymore I think I might of been kicked out of the library.

  • thatsa roland mc 808

  • WRONG!

Ooh... Zat kind of hurt ya!

    HAHAHA

  • I watched this, and then checked out your video response.

I'm not really offended (much) that you're playing up the "Nazi doctor." After all, the reason Milgram did this whole thing was to find out why people commit atrocities when dictators tell them to. How much does it mean when a person says that they were "just following orders?"

Apparently, it means a great deal.

  • Damned character limit.

If I have any problem with this, it's that you're making light of the whole thing, when frankly, it scares the shit out of me.

Still, if this vid makes more people aware of Milgram's work, then it's worth creeping me out a bit to accomplish that.

  • It doesn't bother me so much that you're doing some sort of "Nazi doctor stereotype." After all, the reason Milgram did the whole thing was to answer the question of why do people commit atrocities when told to. How much does it mean when somebody says that he was "just following orders?"

Apparently it means a great deal.

  • u should be an actor.. you're really good.

  • not really sure how to react to that one andrew...
