all mics are different it just depends on your voice. this mic has very warm low mids and pleasant high frequency response. if that is agreeable to your voice then by all means. it is a great sounding mic and very versatile in terms of what you can use it on.
Both mics are very natural and accurate in their response. However, the Bluebird sounds like it has an audible boost in the midrange wthat cuts out most of the low end, making it sound less full. Whereas the Neumann sounds clear and the low end is tight making the clip sound more full.
I dont know, I think the nuemann would struggle to cut through in a bass heavy track. It did pick up somewhere in the lower range of your voice more, but youll have to eq more to get it to cut I think. Also the nuemann seems to have more volume so I dont think I can fully decide that its better, when it has more power given into it. Were the levels the same for both?
As I'm sure youve heard before, there's not a "better" or a "best" there is just different. The blue does amazing on alot of stuff
obviouy the Neumann has that more FULL presence but the Bluebird holds its own against it for half the price. with a channel strip preamp, compression and eq's its not a bad choice at all for those who are on a tight budget and want that sound of a 500$+ mic. obviouy tho if you have the money the Neumann makes sense and it just outperforms any mic in its class for a 700$ mic. i started with an akg perception 220 and had that sounding crisp. any of these will mos def get your game up
Those of you saying you can't hear a difference need to find a different hobby/profession. Trust me, I didn't WANT to hear a difference (since the Bluebird costs half as much!), but the difference is unmistakable:S
I kicked back and forth between the two recordings and found no discernible difference. I bet in a blind test, 99.999% of people would not know the diff.
@Geotubest If you cant tell the difference you're either not listening on decent speakers or have hearing loss in the low mid frequencies because its a night and day difference in the low mids. In my opinion the blue also sounds more shrill on the high end. its not as pleasing to the ear as the Neumann. the neumann is like a solid mix that you can listen to flat in your car. the blue sounds like they grabbed the high shelf and turned it up like 2db.

NEUMANN!

even with YouTube quality, the mics has different sounds. The Neumann is smoother, wider-ranged, and fuller sounding. My monitors are Yamaha HS80M's.
Nice video.

Neumann seems to be little stronger than bluebird.

Both of them sound nice but the neumann seems stronger and more natural. Thanks for the comparison, now I know the neumann is worth the extra money.
