  • Thumbs up if you're still waiting for Apple to update the Mac Pro in 2011..but they ARE fucking beast!

  • you know that you could get a 6 core AMD 3.30ghz for $20 less than intal quad core yeah and its 2011 bro

  • Why would a mac need an i9 when it can only play CS:S and TF2?

  • @Flojstrup People don't get a Mac to play games mr. funny guy.

  • @Tha2ndWimp Then wtf can a mac use an i9 for?

  • @Flojstrup Not gaming.

  • @Tha2ndWimp Thanks for stating the obvious dickwad.

  • @Tha2ndWimp

if people get a mac to browse on the internet they should get a chrome book

if someone gets a mac to game they should have picked a custom pc

if someone gets a mac to encode/hd edit they should get a HP/ASUS with an I7

if you want a computer that does EVERYTHING get a PC

what's the point of wasting money?

  • gay sex?

  • can core i9 be used for any other computer than mac ?

  • Like if you see a Dell gx240 sff in the backround

  • No they just released them with newer 6 core Intel Xeons, so you were WRONG!

  • Yes, i9 does look like a very amazing upgrade compared to the i7 ( in the count of cores ). But the problem is.... What programs will use all 12 cores? I mean, it might take a 1/2 year or more, for programmers to write a program in order to efficiently use all 12 cores. Am i right?

  • @Meyanoos Stupid, Modeling and Special Rendering Programs, use all cores in any sistem, I work whit a Rack server whit 48 Cores and when is rendering it use all the CPU capacity, ... when i read thinks like this, is when i think that the people who buy Mac Pro (Dual Xeon) are just the most fashion and stupid people in the word, they have the best machine but they dont now how use all the potencial

  • @enanobo Wow!! 48 CORES!??!?! You have to help me out here in how to use all cores. I'm not sure, Mac Pro is probably good, however PC's now adays aren't crap either. I've currently got a really stable Windows 7, running on a good Gigabyte MB. Must say, running audio applications was never easier. I do have one problem, I've gotten 8GB, but FL Studio ( which is a cheap program that i onl have ) does not take advantage of all 8Gb. Only uses up like 3. which is just painful to realize.

  • @Meyanoos I mean 8GB RAM.

  • @Meyanoos if you are using programs that ned ram speed depend on the individual speed of ich slot of DDR the think is that your sistem will run at the speed of the slowest slot of RAM, and also check how many channels of RAM Work your sistem if is trichannel or dualchannel, and so important if you are working whit 32 or 64 MB in operative sistem, because in 32MB only support 3,5GB of Ram and also the programs that run in 32MB, even in 64MB sistems, check this before instalit or chage tings

  • it s ture hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • some peoples say that mac is unique, than why tha fuch is every mac same

  • @MrErjavec LOL!!!! SOOOOOO TRUEE!!!!!

  • And who says a mac isn't a pc? lol If there's going to be an i9 anything, it'll be in 2011.

  • @ArcticFox1095 mac had it 1st try to keep up

  • The only thing i like about the mac pro is that its easy to assemble and looks nice and clean inside.. other then that its kinda not my thing

  • Haha , it is never a bad time to buy a mac pro , they are beast's.

Yeah right beast's for itunes and listening music ? Yeah Ok..

  • nice

  • wow, the intel hexacores are not i9's the i7 980Xtreme would be your example

  • atleast this fan boy did his research lol...no such thing as a i9

  • this product is forgotten by Apple :(

  • Well, it's near the end of July and no sign of this i9 Mac Pro yet. I would really like to have one if it existed. I've been checking out the current Mac Pro systems but I'd rather wait a little because Apple will still most likely release a newer rig later this year. At least hope!

  • Lol if there is going to be mac pro with core i9 it will be like 7k€ because mac's with 2 core procesors cost 1.5k€. I am more then happy with my PC which costs me 1k€ and has: Core i7 @2,80GHz , 8GB ram 1333 MHz, ATI HD5750 1GB GDDR5.

    Mac sucks.

  • why is apple not updating its mac pro :C

  • DX 12

  • This is ridiculous. I was sure they'd update it at WWDC; it's now been 15 months without an update.

  • it uses xeon you fags

  • Why does everyone keep calling the 980X the i9 processor? It is still under the i7 series and still follows the 1366 socket. And Apple will definitely NOT be coming out with any form of a dual i7 or, "i9" motherboard. Apple is just using the Intel Skulltrail motherboard or some kind of publicly avalible Intel server motherboard with two CPU slots. Which by the way, only support the Xeon server processors...currently.

  • buy a mac pro remove i9. then put the mac out of its misery! (shotgun behind the shead)

  • where do you get the rumors from?

  • its still s i7 not i9

  • What a great video, great information, entertaining and you solved my problem....

    thank you

    dg

  • march 16, scheduled release for the i9 mac pro

    ~secret apple insider...

  • @gumberly what bout the mbp

  • well it's going to be around march 16 for the mac pro. as for the mac BOOK pro, i truly don't know. the i9 will not come out for the notebooks, but certainly a quad core processor will come out eventually. if i was to guess, i would have to say some time mid to late this year or early next year. sorry.

  • even if your right, i cant belive it seeming as c2d is such old tech, couldnt they just do a little speed bump

  • @gumberly How'd that work 4 you?

  • @JoelB3783 what do you mean? i9 doesn't exist. nor will the mac pro ever have a core ix processor. only intel xeons.

  • Thanks for video, good information

  • No, you get a small SSD to put the operating system on, and big HD's to store data. Then you get all the benefits of an SSD at the cheapest price.

  • I want mine with USB 3.0, dual 1TB solid state drives, and blue-ray drive. Any word on that?

  • Hopefully it's out before i finish Uni so i can still get my Educational Discount. According to Wikipedia the release date is 'March 16', so mark your calendars people.

  • you know, if you order online, you can get an education discount whether your at school or not.

  • How does that work, then you are not a student anymore? unless it doesn't work like that...?

  • I'm not sure about the american online but in the canadian apple online they ask you to select your province and school , they never check, because the discount is not that great about 100.00 but when it comes to software they do require a proof of attending school.....dg

  • it doesnt, you dont have to approve that your a student. try going to the education page then just fill out your school, or a school you went to.

you only save like 100 dollars tho.

  • I went to the Mac Store the other day and asked the guy what percentage i can get off as a student and he told me 16% and i asked him if it is the same online and he said its exactly the same. Thats great for me as it would save me over £500.

  • how much is the new mac pro 2010 is gonna be???

  • 2010-1-26 sees it!

  • You know, I would not have any problem with getting a Mac, I mean, who doesn't want a Registry, and Viruses? probably everyone I'm sure.

but the fact of the matter is, that Mac simply does not allow you to play games, I know to SOME ppl it's not an issue, but honestly there are MILLIONS of ppl that play games, (Not 12 year olds BTW)

and their Competitor, "Microsoft" allows you to do so.

there should be NO reason for not supporting Games, it's rubbish.

PC is OVERALL a better system.

  • Mac DOES have specific programs that are great, I don't deny that, but PC is much more expansive, you know, what if I want a simple program that has 1 million food recipes (Just off the top of my head, a program I recently downloaded) lol

if I tried to use that on Mac, it simply wouldn't work, or how bout 837 SNES or N64 games, they wouldn't work either, I could sit here for days listing off thousands upon thousands of programs that simply WILL NOT work for Mac.

    Not to mention most games.

  • @1981z28camaro Mac OS has support for SNES, N64, PSX and PS2.

  • @seepauliedie ok well, on average most programs are made for Windows, and lack MAC support, this is why I choose Windows over mac.

  • @seepauliedie No.

  • @1981z28camaro SNES, N64, and GameBoy (and other consoles, handheld or not) games WORK on a Mac. Do some research. And about games in general, I use a Mac, and I play like ONE game and that's HoN. Guess what, it works on a Mac. Also gonna get Diablo 3 when it comes out. Oh fuck, it's gonna run on Mac. Games are slowly getting available for Mac through Steam. Not that I care, but they are. 1 million food recipes? There's an app for that. USB 3.0? Tsk, we got Thunderbolt.

  • @Tha2ndWimp

snes, n64 and gameboy games run on my psp

    what/who uses thunderbolt?

you can't play hardcore games in macs because u have a 5770 unless you upgraded

you'r limited by steam to play games

you'll pay shitload of money for a thing that you can buy/make for half the price

if you buy macs cuz they'r shiny and made of airplane aluminium shit, you'r mentally retarded.

    bootcamp is hax

  • @jmpatinhas15

    Good for you

    Who uses USB 3.0?

Not true. Also, the Mac Pros haven't been updated for ages. AND if you get a Mac Pro for pure gaming you should go hang yourself.

    I don't care.

I get it for the OS.

Good thing that's not why I get them. See statement above.

Boot Camp is not hax. It's completely legal and you just had nothing better to say.

  • @Tha2ndWimp

who uses USB3? srsly? there are flashdrives, keyboards and motherboards that use usb3

usb3 is the future, not thunberbolt, there not even a single periferal that uses thunderbolt

MAC PRO FOR PURE GAMING that one made my day, do you know what's a 5770? a budget graphics card, and its the best card you can get with a mac pro,

even my 700 bucks laptop can beat ur mac in game performance. os is not intuitive nor practical and it doesn't support TRIM (essential to run SSDs) MACTARD.

  • @jmpatinhas15

USB 3.0 has been out for a longer time. Thunderbolt is twice as fast, might as well use that. Give it some time.

You might wanna read my comment. I said that IF you get Mac Pro for pure gaming then you should GO HANG YOURSELF, i.e. is fucking stupid ok?

    Not true.

OS IS intuitive. But it's all about personal preference right? If you like Win7, go for it.

Aaand... TRIM is coming with Lion which is next month, and since I don't have an SSD atm I couldn't care less.

  • @Tha2ndWimp

the funny thing about lion os is that it looks kinda like win7

  • @1981z28camaro

Actually the games issue is not an apple issue, the games issue is simply you want to make it where the money is, PC's have 90% of the market it ispretty easy to recon they will get 90% of the games, cut and dry.

  • @KusuriRX - Yeah, that's what is it.

  • @1981z28camaro Lol, you talk about "computer savvy" in your previous comment, and then you imply that Apple does not ALLOW you to play games? That they do not support games? It's the fucking lazy-ass companies that MAKE the games that refuse to make them Mac compatible. But I guess you're too computer savvy to realize. Windows is Dos-bases, Mac is Unix. Unix > Dos even if your hardware is cheap. Idc about hardware if I don't like the software.

  • Mac is essentially for simple yuppy people, that don't use them for much, every time you mention Overclocking to a Mac user they reply saying shit like "What do you think this is? a Tonka Toy?"

and I have Video PROOF of that.

there just not serious about computers, think about it, they don't want to be bothered with viruses, and a registry, this is fine, but it shows that they aren't computer savvy.

or else it wouldn't be an issue.

They care more about the Case, and Monitor than performance.

  • lol absolute nonsense, I hate that Mac users think they are like special, and that Macs are better than PC, keep in mind that the Core i7 is a PC component, and so it will ALWAYS be released for PC first and foremost, essentially a Mac IS a PC, the only difference is the Monitor, Case, and OS.

yet people think that Macs are far more superior, when really the difference is negligible, in fact the Mac OS is quite limited in many regards, compared to PC.

Core i9 will be PC first. Sorry.

  • @1981z28camaro Actually Apple got the first crack at the Nehalem Xeon processors that were in the 2009 Mac pros for the first month before Intel released them the PC (Windows) Market. So I Wouldn't argue this point too much.

  • @MacUserLogic - Not a very good argument, being the Xeon processor is COMPLETELY IDENTICAL to the Core i7 Processor.

the ONLY difference, is special attention was put to make sure the Xeon chips ran at their advertised speed, and the run a little cooler.

other than that they are pretty much the same, the difference is negligible.

  • Can't really get much memory in the imac. I have 16 gigs in my mac pro have 4tb inside

  • are you crazy!?

  • 16 gigs of ram that will never be used even if you had 90 programs running, good idea, waste your money on ram, when you'll never need it.

I bet you have a 100 inch shinny screen and a case the size of a credit card too, can't play games tho.

but hey, that's why people buy Macs, so they can have a fancy yuppy looking system, that does barely anything.

  • check out my stress test I almost used all 16 gigs. I run multiple os systems on my computer al the time. Linux, Windows, and sometime solaris. I usually allocate 4 gigs to my win 7 64bit, 4 gigs to each linux and solaris. I may upgrade to 32gig. The 16 gigs only cost me about 300 dollars. You only spend a lot of money of memory if your crazy enough to by it from the apple store lol

  • lol, well most people don't really need that, so saying 16 gigs isn't much is kind of wrong, haha

maybe for you it's not much. lol

sorry if I sounded pissed off in my earlier comment.

I personally don't see the need in running multiple operating systems at once, I mean maybe 2, Mac OS, and Windows.

you're kinna like my friend that only does it to see if he can, but really it's not too realistic doing that. Just my opinion.

  • It is ok. I am a computer programmer, so I m always testing code on different systems. For example, linux has a little more Application Programming Interface commands in c then Mac does. Have a good day my friend :)

  • Cool, yeah I guess it all depends on what your doing :-)

you have a good day too, Happy New Years :-)

  • @1981z28camaro haha dude shut up, your annoying me... I have two macs, 32gigs of ram in my 2008 Mac Pro, 24 gigs in the 2009 mac pro with dual 30" Apple cinema displays and I use every single bit of processing power and every last inch of ram when doing what i do only running 3 or 4 programs lol Just because you can't figure out how to utilize the full capacity of a computer doesn't mean the rest of us don't.

  • I agree that anyone should wait until early next year to buy a Mac Pro. I purchased mine in January and have seen the iMac performing at the same pace or close to it. Having 6T of hard drive space it the reason to go with a Mac Pro but if you do not need the storage stay with the iMacs, just not worth the seconds gained for the cost on a Mac Pro.......and the 27 inch monitor is sweet.

  • lame! amd will be doing that!

  • Hi guys I have made a video of me playing Crysis Warhead on my Imac 27" core i7, check it out :-)!

  • the first pc to use core i9 are gaming pc´s.One of the first persons to use the core i9 is a gaming overclocker!not mac user! PC RULES!!!

  • well I can understand why someone who ONLY uses their computer to play games wants such a cheap PC. Us mac users, on the other hand, have much more important uses for our hardware than little kid excuses for entertainment. You DO realize that a mac CAN be overclocked, you just have to be a really good hacker and also be really good at hacking firmware, which I persoanally would never fuck with.

  • first of all you are ignorant cause im not a gamer im a music producer and i use alot of softwear like cubase reason albeton live and millin vst s and plugins and i have a powerfull pc that powed any MAC PC and that a fact!!YOU MAC USERS ARE LAME moust of MAC USERS BUY A MAC TO GO TO INTERNET DONT TELL ITS NOT CAUSE I SEE IT EVERY DAY PEOPEL WID MACS THAT ONLY DO INTERNET SEARCH .AND 2 there is no MAC THAT OVERCLOCKS MORE THAN A PC AND THATS ANOTHER FACT!!!

  • Hahahaha there's no way apple will have exclusivity to the i9 when it's released for even one quarter. Over 90% of the market is windows-based PCs, no way will it happen with that many people who wouldn't be able to get it.

  • Um, do you understand the little deal apple and intel have together? Apple can get any fucking chip from intel they damn well please and they can be the first ones to get it as well. They can also get BETTER chips from intel than those put into PC's by HP, Dell, Etc. Market share has nothing to do with hot much profit intel can get from apple. You cheap gamers won't spend anymore than a grand for a computer, macheads are willing to spend 3 grand for a mac pro, expecially an i9.

  • Hey dave, This is a question about the macbook pro's do you think they will update them as-well in jan/feb because like you said about the mac pro and iMacs there is not much of a difference between the macbook and the lower end model of the macbook pro? what are your thoughts. I am planning on getting one (macbook pro 15") but i dont know wether i should hold on a little bit. Thanks :)

  • yeah do it couldnt hurt

  • What couldn't hurt, do you mean waiting till jan/feb? :D

  • yeah even if they dont update they might drop price like :)

  • Thanks mate, i think i will do that! :)

  • I'd wait. You never know with Apple, and it's a good thing to play safe!

A buddy of mine bought one a year ago and the next month new models came out.

  • Oooo i feel sorry for him! i would of been gutted lol! do you have a mac?

  • Yes, I do own a Mac: a MacBook Pro 13", it's my second Mac (my first one was a white MacBook from mid 2007).

The white MacBook was a really good computer, but the laptop I have now... OMG I cannot begin to describe it's awesomeness lol. It's a really terrific machine.

  • OMG I am so jealous of you haha! I have a PowerMac G4 and is really good, it my first mac!

I love the new macbook pros they are amazing, cant wait to get my macbook pro 15". I think apple just design and make fantastic products. I just bought the aluminum keyboard. its so nice to use! i love apple hehe>

oh and thanks for all the advise you have given me! also what to you like most 13" or 15' macbook pros?

  • My preference:

If it's all about power: 15", no doubt.

BUT I've got used to the 13". So ... I prefer the 13" because it's verrry portable... and it's more than powerful enough for me.

On your Powermac, what OS do you run on it? (Reason I ask is... I love OS X Tiger. I actually prefer it over Leopard and Snow Leoaprd, dunno why though! :d)

  • Ye thats what i thought about the 13", i will be using it for uni so that one did cross my mind :) they are both amazing tho.

My powermac runs tiger. ye it is good but you cant get that much stuff on it, you know because leopard and snow leopard have come out. I wish i could put snow leopard on my powermac but its to old! Oh well!

Why did you like tiger better than Leopard? :)

  • I liked Tiger better because it had the old aqua look. When I first booted into Mac OS X I saw a very clean and neat interface. Also, it booted much quicker, and wasn't as resource hungry as Leopard.

But perhaps I like it the best because it was the first Mac OS I've ever used! :d Btw, Tiger was on version 10.4.9 when I first got it so.. it was rock-solid lol. Tiger is a really great operating system.

Snow Leopard is really stable for me now as well, though... So I can't complain! :d

  • It is a real stable operating system! I cant really see anything wrong with it lol! My mac is running 10.4.11.

I just wish i could upgrade to leopard just to be a bit more update lol :)

  • Why don't you just backup your important files via external hard drive or dvd-r's or cd-r's and then buy a snow leopard disc, it's only 30 bucks, and start ur mac up from the disc while holding the C button. When it boots into the OS, click on 'utilities' on the top, then reformat your drive using disk utility. That will enable you to do a clean install of snow leopard. You do not NEED to get leopard first before installing snow leopard. Send me a private message if u have any problems.

  • Apple ALWAYS updates their shit at least once a year. The best time to buy a mac is NEVER now, it's always next year. Then by then it will be the year after. So, buy it whenever the new one comes out, then sell it in 3 years when the warranty ends and use the money towards a new mac again.

  • holy.......

  • i9 is Hyper Threaded right? 12 threads on a single chip is going to be epic.

  • Imagine there to be two Mac Pro's, maybe one with a single chip and a higher end with two chips.

Or just one version with two chips.

that would be epic: two chips with each 12 threads... that would make 24 threads total!

  • Yeah. Now we just have to wait for some apps that can actually make use of at least 12 threads.

  • I love the concept of the mac pro but there are some serious flaws. Most notable, is the fact that you can not get a video card with it that has more than 512mb of vram. even on the $3299 8-core varient. you can get several of the same video cards though. Whereas HP's 18-inch "dv8" laptop comes standard with a 1gb graphics card.

  • Um, do you realize that with the OS X operating system, you do not need as much memory to perform the same things as you do on windows? This is something PC people cannot grasp the concept of, Learn about it.

  • First off, i know what i am talking about. i have leopard running on my netbook with 1gb of ram and no dedicated vram. OS X runs pretty smoothly. But I don't expect it to run anything intensive like modern games or video conversion. It's the concept that is flawed, I know that a maxed out mac pro can handle just about anything you throw at it, but you can get better video cards on LAPTOPS!! I just think that apple should offer the best hardware for the best computer...

  • @psychoclown420 I think now that hardcore PC fanboys are starting to become interested in Apple, that apple should NOW start catering to the people who are more computer savvy. I think what apple does is that they use what is currently the standard, not necessarily the most powerful components on the market. I mean, isn't the intel atom currently the strongest processor right now? I have no idea, I don't keep up with techie shit.

  • @manicjupiterflute

some say AMD processor do a much better job with graphics, and from the test I have seen, it is true

  • lol, you do know that Memory is like dirty cheap now right?

    not a very good argument.

see it's the little things you guys choose to argue about

"Oh but a Mac case is smaller" "Oh, it's quieter" "Oh you need less memory"

why not argue big things? you know what I would argue, if I'm Pro PC? I'd argue this "Oh, I can play hundreds of games, and thousands of emulated games, and mod games, and run almost every program in existence, even Safari, and Photoshop, and anything else"

    FUCK SAKES.

  • Same old design with a new processor, that's what i expect :) Nothing wrong with that, but it'd be nice to see a fresh design :)

Mac Pro's are great, but you can buy a far more powerful workstation on the PC side.

Next year you'll be able to build/buy a workstation with new 12-Core Magny Cours CPU's from AMD. That's 12 physical cores, not 6 cores with hyper threading. Put two in and get 24 real cores :)

    A 2 X 12-Core Opteron box is gonna dance all over the 2 X 6-Core Core i9 Mac Pro :)

  • STOP putting FKN SMILEY FACES ALL OVER YOUR COMMENT> JUST MAKES ME WANT TO SMASH YOUR FACE IN.

  • Three smileys causes this reaction?

    You need some help.... :P :) :D

  • I'd tell you, but i fear for you health.

Considering you can't spell "DICKWAD" correctly, trying to read a map would cause a chemical imbalance in your brain.

  • haha :)

  • Would you be buying the 6 core or 12 core mac pro when you buy one?

  • Never going to happen, the Mac Pro's have always used equivalent Xeons, not Core series processors. So expect to wait for a while even after the launch of the i9, for the server/workstation parts.

  • The i9 are actually server/workstation CPU's. The "Extreme" versions are Xeons, the regular ones are i9. They're having the same CPU's as both high end desktop and server/workstation CPU's for the i9 series, at least that's what I've gathered from reading about them so far.

  • Start saving up.

  • Will you people stop calling Xeon-branded processors "Core"s, they aren't. The architectures are the same, alright fine. But they are NOT THE SAME PROCESSOR.

The Mac Pro does NOT USE a fucking Core i7, it uses a Nehalem-based Xeon.

  • chill out dude it is just a rebadge with VERY little difference

  • Regardless of whether it's a rebadge or not, and by the way the differences are more significant than you think, they're not the same thing.

It pisses me off when people constantly refer to something by the wrong damned name. Is that a problem?

  • no i was just saying its closer. i hate how many people correct you when you say core duo. they don't realize that core duo and core 2 duo are 2 different cpus

  • the center of every processor is called a core, you know anything about computers? even your cell phone has a core

  • *facepalm*

I was referring to Intel's naming schemes. Their consumer lines are known as "Core *", as in, Core 2 Duo, Core i5, Core i7, etc.

Their professional lines are known as Xeons, not Core i7, Core i9, etc.

This is why I CAPITALIZED Core. Sorry if that went over your head, but you ought to read more carefully.

  • who cares what you were referring to? you are the one who said Dave was calling your precious Xeon processors, "cores:. he doesn't, he is counting the number of cores in the cpu.

But you come on here jumping in Dave's face how YOU are tired of people calling some peice of shit processor by the wrong name like you invented the fucking thing, get a life

  • What I don't get is if the Mac Pro is a professional machine and designed to be a workstation why doesn't Apple at least offer some workstation graphics cards to ship with it and not just gaming cards.

  • thats a damn good question, i agree, they should offer FireGL or Quadro cards in the BTO options, they could offer them on the iMac as well, seeing as its getting up there in power.

  • yeah, I might be able to take the single socket Mac Pro seriously as a workstation if it had the right cards.

Hopefully Apple will at least give a full gig or vram option as well with the line update.

  • Why? They don't need them. The drivers for the current GPU options give higher performance than the Quadro FX5600's of last generation believe it or not. Or you can just get the 285 with 1GB of VRAM if you really need it.

  • hear is a reason why.

    tomshardware . com / reviews / amd-firepro-v8700,2154-10 . html

    just remove the spaces :)

  • here* I mean lol

  • And you shouldn't have to spend $500 just to get a full gig of RAM as an option on video cards...

  • There are more Apple Rumor videos than germs on a dogs behind...

There will always be new technology... just wait for it to come...

  • and the funny thing is, every single apple rumor video that has been made is wrong, but they keep making them. You should watch Dave's tablet announcement six months ago, it's a riot, if he hasn't removed it out of embarrasment

  • I don't think apple will ever make a tablet. Tablets are for little boppy high school bitches. Nobody would buy that shit.

    lol, they are making one

and mactards would buy apple show shine kits for a thousand dollars if steve jobs made it shiny enough

  • @johnmonk66 How do you know Apple is making a tablet? Are you part of their software development team?

  • @manicjupiterflute

i know apple ordered 500 9 inch touchscreens last year

  • mac pros are ridiculously expensive. adding an i9 option in there will really lengthen the gulf between the pro and consumer market like you said. personally, unless you're an industry player i dont really see the point in splashing on a mac pro. i think your imac will serve u well for a while yet.

  • mac pros are not that expensive they are around the same price as the work stations from dell and hp.

  • I love how fast you get these videos out.

  • can't wait to see some benchmarks of those monsters :)

  • Might go for one of these myself - and sign up for one to one. Far quicker than reading instruction manuals.

  • will towers ever die? do people use them other then high end producers?

  • People who don't want to waste money on form factor.

  • just about every single desktop pc is a tower, there are alot of users out there (myself included) who think apple should offer a tower to stand in between the super low end mac mini, and the semi-high end iMac, with a $800 or so price point it could be a big seller, and the expandability would be nice as well.

  • that will never happen

  • lol was just tweeting about this on twitter, its pretty crazy stuff !

  • @DRBUK haha. I know, I just read your tweet.
