  • WE WANT PART 3 and 4 now!

  • I just jizzed my pants

  • part 3 part 4 part 3 part 4 part 3 part 4

  • Dear Mr. Austin, keep up the work with AI & ATC. You have already owned MSFSX in every other aspect. Drag Orbx, Wilco and as many payware developers as you can and I predict you will overtake the flight sim community. I've been using MSFS for over two decades and you are on the right track. I will freely promote X-Plane at my FS hardware company from this point on. I was that impressed with XP10. Keep up the good work!

  • Where is video 3 and 4?

  • this guys a genius

  • Is there an interview part 3 and 4? if so, I can't seem to find them. I'm anxious to watch. Thanks for the great vids!!

  • It would be nice if you uploaded part 3 and 4 too. I'm waiting for it quite a long time now. Are there problems with uploading it or did you lost the parts?

  • From 5:58 till 6:52 , Austin explained here the Autogen perfectly. Especially when he says: 'This was not made by a person. This was made by a computer program. This is Autogen.'

  • X-Plane 10 is sensational. I'll need a good PC w i7 and lots of power for it though...

  • @neutrino741 I have a mac, an 3.06 GHz intel core 2 duo with an ATI HD 4670 256mb VRAM video card… and x-plane runs on normal settings quite nice :)

  • @ruyjo1 Sorry but I'm Linux and custom PC builder in general. Never Apple before and probably unlikelly to own any in the near future...

    PS: I like your movies!

  • @neutrino741 Thanks for the compliment, but I didn't said that you have to buy a mac. I've heard that a Linux computer performs X-plane even better than a mac when both have the same specs. My tip to you: Stay tweaking in the rendering options to get the best fps :)

  • where is 3 of 4 and 4 of 4?

  • glare much?

  • What type of joystick do you use

  • i think i will use X-Plane 10 very soon beside my FS9 :D

  • I really wish I had a pc powerful enough to play this

  • I hope he is using an AMD CPU and not an Intel CPU

  • Those guys just discovered deferred lighting, i would had spent time on the rendering code more than on the lighting code. Lighting in a flight simulator is very generic because we talk about an absolute outdoor so once you get the keylight, skylight and fill light your job is mostly done. Why they are calculating single lights on the ground? Because they can? It's kinda unuseful since you spend most of your time up in the sky...

  • Thx for sharing will you upload part 3 any time soon?

  • Hey Sadickes! Thank you for sharing this with us =) Greatly appreciated! Could you upload part 3 and 4 soon please?

Im very impressed that a relatively small development team (laminar research) is able to create something that is able to compete with what Microsoft's big development teams create!

I only wish they would use some smoothing in the terrain, roads and railroads. But I'm not a programmer (yet :P) so I don't know if something like that is feasible without using a lot of recourses.

  • is it just me or is large part missing around 10:00 minutes? the part from ≈14:00 is exactely the same as the first minutes?

  • @mathimat

You are absolutely right and I just did correct the problem.

  • the reason why xplane will never sucseed flight simulator x.....rite now the biggest factor is the ground, traffic, and houses....he never focuses on flight dynamics, cockpit instruments, or even the realistic flight....thats what is the problem....i want xplane to atleast get a real to life fmc before i play it.

  • @Michaelc136

Reading your comment, I guess you probably never owned X-Plane or you never flew a real aircraft by yourself or both. I'm a real world pilot and I use FS9, FSX and X-Plane. But you can believe me, no simulator comes as close to the real flight dynamics as X-Plane. And concerning the real to life FMC, Microsoft never delivered that either, that where the add-on makers. But hey, PMDG is actually evaluating to port their products to X-Plane! Cheers.

  • @sadickes Sir thats where you are wrong...pmdg has no intentions of moving twords xplane...microsoft can pack the whole world into 15 gb but in xplane it is ....50gb.... i personaly have a great computer and check out my channel to see what i mean.

  • @Michaelc136

And how do you know this? Do you know any official members of PMDG? Are you yourself an official member of PMDG?

More things happen in the world than what you are aware of.

  • @Michaelc136

I now some of the leading heads in the industry and I can assure you that for now, PMDG has not made it's final decision on this subject, so I would be more careful in your place what you post here. And beside that, I don't know what your computer has to do with all this but after seeing your specs I guess you should have no trouble running X-Plane in the 3 TB hard disk era. By the way, your FSX movies are really nice.

  • @sadickes Well thank you sir...mabye you are correct i dont know anything but i would like to see the future.

  • @sadickes Thing is thank you very much but what i have to say is i have flown both and xplanes dynamics are good...but i think that overall fsx does everything else with reality...its an opinion.

  • @sadickes does it have more airlines than united?

  • @Michaelc136 I think you'll find an interesting announcement if you check x-pilot.com

  • Finally. When is part 3 and 4?

  • @Xplaneflight

    Tomorrow

  • @sadickes thanks

  • fantastic!
