Did you ever find out if the parts from the mossberg 500 or remington 870 would fit on the Hatsan? I'm looking to get a Hatsan and it would be nice to know before I get it. Thx
@kingd3001 Mine came with a "spacer that is used for hunting when you can only have 3 or 4 rounds in the shotgun. If your tube is as long as mine it more than likely has it still in. All you need to do is take the large nut that holds the barrel on, off and then you should see plastic, if so this should pull out and let you put 5+1 in the shotgun.
Nice. That's a lot nicer to field strip than the Mossberg 500 I've been considering. I think I might just try one of these Escorts to use as an inexpensive truck or boat shotgun.
@emtffzartman I went ahead and ordered one of the nickel plated marine versions. Hopefully it will be at my local gun shop within a week. I'll think of it as an early birthday present and Christmas gift to myself. Can't wait!
@Jimhouston100 So far, so good. It's beautifully machined and put together, and a cinch to field strip and clean. Compared it with the Mossberg 500 and Remington 870 express - it's quite obvious that this one is machined/assembled with more care. It's also less complicated. I'm loving the short stroke pump (lol that sounds so wrong) and how it handles overall.
I ordered mine through galleryofguns gun genie and it was shipped to my local gun dealer in less than a week.
@AKJeeper Thank you. I'm tired of people talking shit on this awesome deal, my escort marine guard is 3 years old now and after close to 1500 rounds and only 3-5 cleanings max, It still shoots the same and pumps just as smooth...
Thanks, very helpful, looking forward to getting my Hatsan MP, that model has the style of pistol grip that you want, check it out on the Hatsan website it looks like a Colt M4.
@wilkbor Yes. I just shot it the other day with not a problem. It is a great shotgun and the primary defense for my house and my wife. She loves to shoot it and we have not had a single problem. Thanks for asking for an update.
Hey any new info on changing the stock? I want to put a top fold stock but not sure what would fit. i keep hearing that a remington stock would fit then ive also heard a mossberg stock. then when i go to the Hatson website you cand even order the stock from there... Awsome video by the way.
@stoopidmonkey72 I got a rear grip with no stock that would need modified to fit. But I do not know what kind of shotgun it was for. It being plastic I can mod it to fit. I have had people tell me that stuff for a remington 870 will fit with little to no mods. I have not tried it yet myself. Sorry.
The correct terminollogy is important. "plastic" is called Polymer, "The Grip" is called handgaurd,"tube where the shells go" is the magazine,"straight bore" non rifled is called a smooth bore, "regular metal" is called hardened steel. Im not trying to be rude in my thread just my 2 cents. The Escort is completely compatable with most Remington 870 accessories. My question is have you had any FTF or FTE problems?
@yknid9608 Sorry.. I should have you proof my scripts.. ohh wait I do it off the cuff.. I have had one or two FTF issues, but it was fixed after a good cleaning and little lube. Since then, no issues at all. Trust it with my life.
@yknid9608 how about your terminology. "The Grip" is called the forend, plastic is polymer by definition, regular metal is anything from aluminium - receiver, to various grades of steel - trigger, action bar, magazine tube etc.
emtffzartman did ok and he'll pick up the terminology in time.
@emtffzartman I do believe they do, if not i know ebay or something would have 1, i slapped mine on out of the box from where i bought mine. I could easily put a slug sized hole in someone trying to get into my door lol
i just have one question for you.. are these legal in canada? and if they are, are they a restricted firearm or would it qualify as a non restricted? please I want to buy this gun for home defense, but im not sure about the rules.
@TheJoshy1992 I have no idea what laws Canada has. I know my state and all the states around me. Sorry I can not help. I would check with local police if I was you.
Why the hell are you asking an American about laws in your own damn country!?!?
Yes, you can buy them from Frontier Firearms. They can't hold more than 5 shots plus 1 in the chamber though, just like restricted rifles. And please don't rely on other people to tell you about your own laws, for your own good because that can lead to serious trouble. I have a friend who got charged for carrying a knife he thought was legal cause some dick told him so online.
@snowpayam I own one of these in 3'' 12 gauge, and yes it can shoot slugs. I've fired 2 3/4'' Winchester 1600FPS Hollowpoint rifled slugs, and they work fine!
@gt4666master Thank you for picking up on his question. I over looked it by accident. I have shot slugs that are very similar to those with no issues. The reason it can do slugs is because there is no choke in the end of the barrel. And this rifle can not have a choke added.
Hi, i bought some 28g fiocchi cartridges and was given a box of 2 +1/2 inches not 2 + 3.4 inches, just wondering, seeing as it is proofed for 3" will is safely fire a 2 and a half inch cart?
@MATTNATTMATT - If you're talking about once you cycle the pump to forward then yes. I think most if not all shotguns have a "button" you push to cycle the pump once you initially cycle it.. On mossberg there is a button by the trigger guard, my old remington model 29 there is a button on the side (mine rounds eject from the bottom not the side) and my dad has a savage arms and it is located near the bottom as well.
I think composite would be the better term. Plastic is what you carry your groceris in, Haha. Composite means that it has extra materials that make it strong enough to handle the kick of a shotgun. You woulnt say your XD has a plastic frame, would you? Composite is to a shotgun, as polymer is to a pistol. Once agian, just my .02 cents is all. Good vid though.
Have you gotten that pistol grip stock yet? I want to install one on my Escort Marine Guard and was also wondering if the stocks from Advanced Technology would fit.
could you please video yourself while shooting the shotgun? could you also please make a detailed video strip assembly and disassembly of the shotgun? thanks dude... i already purchase mine and i don't know how to clean it by removing every part piece by piece...
I will get a video on soon of me shooting.. still dont know why everyone one wants that.. This video show taking the entire shotgun apart and puting it back together.. There is nothing more than this to take apart. All you can do for cleaning is to clean what you can get to..
hey dude... i am planning to purchase the same exact brand and model shotgun but i am concern for the reliability and durability of the shotgun itself... could you tell me something about the shotgun? is it reliable and durable for lifetime use? how is it? please reply as soon as posible for me to know what to purchase as early as posible... thanks dude... great video...
Seems stable to me.. other than like I say in the video that the trigger guard is plastic.. Other than that it seems fine. I try not to buy junk.. For lifetime of use, you mean every day or what? Very well put together shotgun.. I would buy it again if I had to do it all over..
what i mean by lifetime use is would it last that long? i would be shooting it at the range for practice and fun time to time and use it as a personal home protection gun... is it durable and reliable for the above mention purposes? thanks again dude... keep it up...

Spend the money and get a knox stock recoil reducer. Its collapsible and reduces recoil up to 70%. I have one on my Mossberg 500 and it works great.

@yknid9608 "plastic" is more specific than polymer (the use of the term polymer is little more than a marketing scheme)
Grip is an authentic term (handguard is NOT, if you want to get technical it is the FOREND)
