Hey Jevin, The world will work however you will not get any of the 1.8 things such as npc villages, ravines, the new biomes, and the strongholds. If you travel far out you will still not get the 1.8 things. Also remove your modded items such as the logs the aether portal and Block off your aether chests. Im sorry that you have to not have your world work. Hope this has helped.
